Must Read: Laraba (Werewolves,Vampires, Witches)

The iron balustrade made a loud clattering sound snatching sleep from the
eyes of Ryan. He stared his eyes wanly to pick the intruders in the dungeon
but the eyes- blinding darkness debarred him from seeing anything. Butdid he really need to see the intruder? He should have known there was
only one person who had access to his chamber, and that person was
Xtiana.

“Time to die Ryan. I told you, you might be useful to me someday?” Xtiana
bellowed as he trod towards Ryan who was enjoying the ugly discomfort
of his bondage. “Now it’s time.” she said.

Ryan sighed horribly. Each sigh Ryan exhaled always came with vast
battering pain because of his broken rips. Breathing had become extremely
horrendous for Ryan for the past 30 years Salmad broke his rips. He was
unable to heal due to the spell Harnold cast on him. His powers had been
filched away from him by the witch immediately he was captured and
dumped inside the dungeon.

“Khalid where are you? You need to come and save your father.” He
muttered indistinctly to himself.

Even though Ryan was in heavy bondage and extreme pain, he had never
for once lost hope in his son. He was always hopeful that someday Khalid
would be coming to plant his rescue. Khalid ought to have removed the
talisman supressing his supernaturalism to make his power start sprouting
out, and then come for him to plant his escape. Prophesy had declared his son to be a very powerful hybrid, he was happy at that, but he hadn’t really
support him being the last watchman for the lamiae. Ryan didn’t want his
son to become a destroyer Zedicus, the god of mountain and destiny
wanted him to be.

Xtiana scoffed at what Ryan muttered to himself. “I’m not sure Khalid is
coming to save you because he doesn’t know you still exist and even if he
does, he won’t be able to find you.”

“My son is coming to save me. I know he will come because I can feel it.”

Ryan retorted again, making Xtiana more worried. Ryan was talking with
confidence, and that was getting her more apprehensive. Could Khalid
have found his power? Well that should be impossible. If he had found his
powers, definitely Harnold would have known that.

Xtiana decided to take her mind off what Ryan was saying and concentrate
to her mission. She had brought along her two most trusted Larabas who
helped her drag Ryan out of the dungeon, with a horse to drag him to the
place he would be executed. Harnold had preferable chosen a hall to
perform the ritual. The ritual entailed the use of magic and spells that
could only be applicable at the particular hall.

“Believe what you want, all I know is that you’re dying today.” She said
and beckoned to her accomplices.

The two Larabas pounced on Ryan and dragged him out of the dungeon,
pulling him crudely that the pain in his chest throbbed. When they reached
outside of the dungeon, a horse was waiting for them. Ryan was tied to the
horse, while Xtiana mounted it and spurred the stallion to move. The horse
responded with slow gaits at first making Ryan comfortable with the pace
as he wobbled himself with. But that didn’t seem to please Xtiana so well
as she spurred the horse harder, then the horse hoofed faster yanking Ryan
from his steady wobbling, and throwing him on the ground. Now, Ryan
couldn’t stand up to meet the pace because the horse was hoofing away on
a faster speed he couldn’t meet, hence he was dragged jaggedly on the
ground. His head bashed stones and shingles while his body embraced
jargons and nuggets on the way, bringing awful pain to rack his body with
deep soreness to plague his soul. Xtiana’s two accomplices also who were
inside a carriage would often times poked their heads outside to give
whiplashes on his battered body. The pain was too much for Ryan, but
despite it, all Ryan hoped for was for Khalid to hijack him from the pain.

“Khalid where are you?” was all he kept on saying.

“I’ve been here all these while, waiting patiently for you, but here you are
just walking in confidently like you don’t know the gravity of what you’ve
done. Tell me young man; don’t you know to keep an appointment?”

Lazarus blasted as soon as he saw Meshach waggling in.

Meshach hurled him a misted askance look. “What do you mean old
man?” he said and waggled to a chair. His body had healed from the scalds
and bruises Xavier bestowed on him yesterday, but he still felt some
throbbing pain in his innards due to the vervain Xavier forced into his
stomach through his mouth. That he was sure to get rid of later the day
when he would be going for food hunting. He wouldn’t be feeding on a
single human tonight; instead he would feed on eight to cover up for the
eight days he had missed.

“For all I know Khalid should be here yesterday. I texted him to meet you
here and I’m sure he would be here.” He grumbled, raising eyebrow and
slamming his self on the chair.

Lazarus was benumbed at Meshach statement.
He said! Of course he did
say it that it was Khalid impersonating Jamal yesterday.

“Or did you miss him?” came another slurry question from Meshach,
probably after the silence that ruled after his previous contempt comment.

“Well I guess that’s your luc…” Meshach was saying when he held a loud
tempestuous roar approaching him and before a blink he felt himself being
lifted up like a piece of tabloid paper and hurtled away violently against
the hardwood of the cabin with his scrawny body breaking them into
splinters. He hadn’t gotten himself from the frenzy attack when Lazarus
pounced on him, with his mouth brandishing his incisive fangs and his
hands shooting out claws.
