‘look you filthy murderer, you better know your boundaries. I might not be a murderer like you are but that doesnt mean i cant be one’ Ximena said throwing the spoon she was holding towards Alice who dodged it.
‘you fool! You think i dont know what you did? You had the audacity, the shameless effontery to lie to Tony about me abi? Do you think he was going to believe you? Idiot! Stupid fool, if you dont leave this house today then i’m not Alice Tarulba!’

Ximena laughed scornfully ‘this isnt your house so hell! You cant do more than a hanging pant!’
‘me?’ Alice rushed towards her but Maria pulled her back.
‘Alice no! Dont mind her. Remember you are pregnant right?’ Maria said holding Alice’s waist tightly.

‘leave me alone! Let me show her that she is white in colour gives her no right to push me around in this house’
‘you are an idiot! Who owns this house? Huh? Do you even own a store house?’ Ximena fired.
‘and you, what do own? Because this is not Mexico abi? I’m sure you dont even have a block to your name, fool!’
‘unnecessary insults from a tramp like you!’ Ximena snapped.
‘stop this both of you!’ Maria said immediately ‘why are you both behaving like kids? Ximena, its high time you go back to your country. You are only causing trouble here and i dont like that. This is Alice’s house now. She and my dad are getting married in two weeks alright? If you want to witness the wedding then…….’
‘there would be no wedding! As far as i’m concerned there would be no wedding!’ Ximena snapped.
‘what are you? Are you God?’ Maria asked.
‘are you siding her or what?’ Ximena asked.
‘yes i’m siding her because if i’m against her, dad wouldnt like it and the last thing i want is you looking for her trouble because it would only put dad in a foul mood and that is totally unacceptable to me!’ Maria barked.

Ximena laughed ‘i see. So you arent even doing this for her. You are doing it for your dad. I thought you like her?’
‘i like none of you. The reason i was a bit close to you the other time was because i was sad and needed someone to lean on and you presented yourself. But dont ever be decieved that i like you, because if not that i’ve changed, i would kicked your silly as.s out of here!’

Alice was taken aback? Was this really Maria speaking or another person? Maria was fighting for her. At that point, she felt like jumping into the sky and shout.
‘changed indeed! You are still the little spoilt brat that you are okay? You know what? I actually fell in love with you then. I thought you were an angel but you are nothing but a saucy little bit.ch!’
Alice didnt see it coming but when she finally did, Maria was already on top Ximena pounding her for all she was worth.

She dragged and pulled Maria from Ximena but the little girl was strong.
By the time she was able to pull Maria off from Ximena, she felt sorry for Ximena’s face.

Maria was surprised seeing how Alice was taking good care of Ximena’s face.
She didnt expect that from Alice.

She thought Alice would be happy and mock Ximena but no, she was trying as much as she could to treat the wounds on Ximena’s face.
‘how did you learn this?’ she asked Alice before remembering that she had told Alice never to talk to her again. But the question she just asked required an answer and Alice was going to be talking to her.

Alice smiled warmly at her as she packed the things she used back into the first aid box ‘my mum was a nurse. So i learnt some things from her’
Maria smiled shyly but said nothing again. She didnt like it but she was realising that Alice wasnt a bad person afterall.

‘Ximena you should go to your room and rest. The wounds may hurt but they will surely heal’
Ximena stood up holding her face painfully ‘thanks’ and with that she left the room.

Alice smiled at Maria and went over to her seat, then threw her hand around Maria’s shoulders.
‘my dear, you know what you did to Ximena was wrong. She’s your senior and you have no right whatsoever to pounce on her like that. She’s old enough to be your mother…..’
Maria scoffed and pushed Alice’s hands off, stood up and eyed her ‘you have no right whatsoever to tell me what to do. This is my house and i’m going to beg you again, do not misinterprete my help for likeness because i’m not helping you because i like you. I’m helping you because of my dad and the unborn child, my sibling that you are carrying!’ Maria bit her lower lip and decided to drive home her word with just one word ‘BI.TCH!’ Maria said and left.
