Alice looked at Tony and wondered for the umpteenth time if what they were doing was right. Tony smiled at her when she was relunctant to knock on the door.
So he knocked instead.

Alice bit her lower lip and played with her fingers until the door opened.

Kofo’s mouth flew open as she beheld her daughter and Tony. And her daughter’s luggages.
‘Jesus!’
Alice looked at Tony and with her eyes passed the message ‘i hope this is a good idea’
‘good morning ma’ Tony greeted Kofo.
Kofo couldnt answer as tears trickled down her cheeks as she kept looking at her daughter.
‘my daughter’ Kofo muttered as she spread her arms around her daughter.
Alice looked at Tony and he urged her to hug her back. So she in turn spread her arms around her ‘mummy’
‘i’m sorry……i’m sorry Alice, please forgive me…..forgive me’ Kofo breathed as more tears poured down ‘please…..pardon me….i….need your….your forgiveness’
Tony took the bags and went inside leaving mother and daughter crying at the door step.
‘mummy’ tears were flowing down her tears too ‘its okay’
Kofo released her as her eyes ran through her daughter’s body. Her br.easts were bigger now, and she was a bit plumpy and her stomach was protuding a bit now.
‘come in’ Kofo said.

Tony watched as mother and daughter chatted happily. He was happy for Alice, she had always longed for a mother’s attention and he hoped the so called attention was permanent this time.

He decided to speak now, he couldnt keep listening to mother and daughter chatting and gossiping about meaningless things when he had important things to sort out.

He cleared his throat and winked at Alice. Then they told Kofo.

That they were planning to get married as soon as possible.

Kofo’s joy knew no bounds. Then she shed tears of joy. Again she apologised for being the worst mother ever.

With tears in her eyes, Ximena flung the wardrobe open and threw her clothes carelessly into the suitcase.

She was sobbing seriously. This was the end of it, she couldnt take it anymore.

She only loved Tony, she didnt kill anyone.

The humiliation was too much. They were making her feel like she was a nuisance in this house, that she wasnt wanted.
From Tony to Alice and to Maria, she was not wanted here. She decided to go back to her country, where people wanted her, missed her, saw her as someone important, not some unnecessary burden.

Even the so called maids in the house no longer respected her.

Earlier she had told a maid to arrange her room and the maid refused. And when she had complained, the maid had insulted her.
‘oga said i should not do anything for you again in this house. Abeg you too lazy. You own na to dey waka with short things. Please stop commanding me!’

Ximena had frowned and reported to Tony and in return he had told her ‘if you are not comfortable with you. Then go back to your country’

She b@nged the wardrobe and zipped her suitcase took another and packed all her cosmetics and cologne. Then all her shoes and packed her hair.
She tried wiping her tears but the more they flowed. She hated Elvis. She hated Vanessa. She hated her dad for dying making her mother decide to leave the country. She hated her mother for making such a decison.

If she had stayed in the country then, she and Tony would have made up.
She sobbed again loudly, then she texted Aylin ‘i’m coming back home’
