MUM: Mira….Mira **she shouted**

Who is Mira? Will it be that the name of one of my sister is Mira? But i was told that it was only my mum that will be coming, or do they later change their mind? I thought

A young girl who will probably be a 15 or 16 year old walked into the sitting room. She was very beautiful with light fair skin colour with an afro shaved hair which fitted her oval face. I scanned her as she walked up to us. She was a small boob but her walking was somehow; like somebody who was carrying an overload at the back

MUM: Mira, meet Ben, my sweet heart. Ben, meet Mira **she made the introduction**

MIRA: **smiling** welcome Ben. Mummy has been saying a lot about you and i have been dying to meet you. Though i never knew that you are this handsome

ME: nice meeting you. You don’t look bad either ** i smiled**

I extended my hand for a handshake which she didn’t hesitate before grabbing it

MIRA: i think we will get to move together?

ME: **smiling** sure

MIRA: let me get you something for refreshment before preparing your food

MUM: what is your favourite food? **she asked me**

MIRA: **interrupted before i could answer** don’t worry mum, i already know his choice
What! How did she know my choice for just a second of meeting with me or is she trying to act smart? I asked myself

Let wait and see what she will prepare. She walked to the fridge and returned with a wine i have never seen before. Even the name of the wine even looked confusing. She dropped the glass tray on the centre table before walking out of the sitting room.

ME: who is she? **i asked as we sat down to take the wine**

MUM: she has been living with us for so many years now. She assists us with house chores and other works in this house

ME: you mean a house maid or a house girl?

MUM: no. We never take her as any of that. She was a very nice girl whom we decided to give a help, we treated her like your sisters, and she attended the same school with them and do everything they do. All works she do are also done by your sisters and we don’t even want her to do anything only that she insist on helping your sisters

ME: then why is she here while my sisters are out of the country?

MUM: your junior sisters and ken are yet to finish with their school session. I came with her because i needed a company; your senior sister will take care of her sisters till they are done

ME: **satisfied** that is very good

My questions was not because i wanted her as a maid but because i hated anybody been treated as maid. I don’t know why some rich men would deploy maids and treat them harshly when they could afford to train them and they will still work for them

MUM: she is a very nice girl

ME: i already knew. She was very cool and brilliant

MUM: **smiling** anyone in the household is always brilliant and smart you know?

ME: true

MUM: and she seemed to like you

ME: why did you say that?

MUM: because she never complemented the handsomeness of anybody that visited here. So you can see, i wasn’t surprise because you are extremely handsome **laughing**
