'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 82 Recap - Aired: Thursday 21 September 2017

The family members enter the courtroom and sit down.

Divya walks in holding her files with a look of defeat on her face.

The judge announces that the court is in session.

Divya asks for permission to represent herself
The judge grants her the permission.

Amar's lawyer tells him that they have a better chance of winning the case now.
Amar says if Divya is fighting on her own then he would like to also represent himself.
He asks the judge for permission and he is also granted.

Amar and Divya get into the witness boxes.

Amar presents his case.
Divya is asked to also present her case.
She gets emotional and says she's really tired of fighting the case and doesn't know what the right thing is to do.
She says she just wants to give birth to her child and she's being made to fight for the child's right to life.
She starts crying.

Amar leaves his box and goes over to hers.
She holds him and asks if they need to go through with the case.
The judge adjourns the case for half an hour.


Amar takes Divya outside to the cafeteria and tells her to wait while he gets her some tea.
Divya sees a woman playing with her baby.
The woman sees her watching them and she tells Divya that she can come and hold the baby.

Amar returns and sees Divya with the baby.
He has tears in his eyes.

Divya tells the woman that she's lucky to have a child.
The woman says Divya is not far from having her own baby.
Divya says she doesn't know what destiny has in store for her.

Divya returns to her sit and Amar looks really disturbed.


The court is back in session.

Amar and Divya get into the witness boxes.
The judge asks Divya if she's willing to continue with the case.
She nods.

The judge tells Amar to proceed.
Amar thinks of Divya holding the baby in the cafeteria.
He has tears in his eyes as he tells the judge that he wants to withdraw the case.
Divya is shocked.

The people in the courtroom applaud.

Amar walks over to Divya who hugs him.
He begs her to forgive him as he only wants her happiness and if she wants the baby, then he wants it too.


Bharat returns to the asylum.
He asks the doctor for the condition of his mother.
She says there is no improvement.
He says he's not surprised, given the state of the asylum.
The doctor suggests he moves Sindoora to a private hospital.


Bharat goes to Sindoora's cell where she is chained and he tells her that he wants to move her to a private hospital.
She asks who he is.
Bharat says he is her son.
She pushes him away and tells him that she has no son.
She gets violent and the nurses come to sedate her.


At home, Amar enters the bedroom and rose petals rain down on him.
Divya comes to him and says she and his baby want to thank him.
Amar says he didn't realise he was hurting her and was caught up in himself but when he saw her with the baby at the canteen, he saw how happy she was and saw her as a mother that was longing for her child and he couldn't take the baby from her.
She hugs him.
He says when their baby finally arrives, the 3 of them will have a world of their own and Divya will be happy.


Bharat apologises to Aniket for not making it to court.
Aniket asks what was so important for him to do that he couldn't make it to court.
He asks what's really going on that Bharat is unable to share.
Bharat says it's nothing.
He leaves the house.

Aniket wonders what Bharat is hiding.

Later at night, Amar comes to ask Aniket why he's sitting alone in the dark.
Aniket says it's nothing.
Amar says he can see he's upset about Bharat.
Aniket admits Bharat's behaviour has got him worried.
Amar says he will find out what Bharat is up to.



The next morning, Aniket and Uma ask Amar how Divya is doing.
Amar says she's getting worse.
Aniket asks why Amar seems happy.
Amar says he's doing it to keep Divya happy so that when the baby arrives, he can see his mother's happy face.
He breaks down in tears.

Aniket and Uma console him.
Gauri looks on.


Bharat is holding a file and hurrying out of the house.
Amar is also holding a file and rushing into the house.
They bump into each other and their files fall out of their hands.
The contents of both files scatter around.
They bend to pick them up.
One of the contents of Bharat's files is a doctor's prescription for Sindoora's drugs.
Amar picks it up but Bharat snatches it out of his hand.
Amar asks what's going on.
Bharat says it's nothing.
Amar tells him to know he can always talk to him.


Uma is with Divya.
Divya asks when she can have her baby shower.
Uma says it will be in the 7th month of her pregnancy.
Divya says she wants to have it in the 5th month.
Uma says it is usually done in the 7th month.
Divya says she might be too sick to participate then and she wants to be a part of all her baby's ceremonies.
Uma says they will have it tomorrow then.
Divya hugs her.


Amar comes to the pharmacy to get drugs for Divya.
He gives the pharmacist the prescription.
The pharmacist looks at it and says it's a wrong prescription and it's for mentally ill people.
Amar looks at it and realises he took the prescription from Bharat's file instead.
He wonders who the drugs are for.


It's the day of the baby shower and guests have arrived at the house.

Amar goes to Bharat and gives him the prescription then he asks who it is for.
He says it has the name Singh on it.
Sindoora's name is torn off.


Divya calls Amar away before Bharat is able to explain.


Bharat receives a phone call.
He steps aside to answer it.
It's from Sindoora's doctor.
He says he's on his way.

As he tries to leave the house, Aniket stops him.
Bharat says some urgent work came up.
Aniket asks what is so urgent.
Bharat says he has to go as he's in a hurry.
He rushes out.

Karuna asks Aniket why he's trying to restrict Bharat when it's obvious that Bharat left the house because he's embarrassed by Aditi.
Uma tells her to calm down.
Karuna says she's sure Aditi has gone out to see Karan.
Aniket tells her she has no right to talk about Aditi that way.
He says he knows she raised Bharat but she has no right over Aditi.
Karuna is shocked.
Aniket says he sent Aditi out of the house so she can be away from Karuna and her comments.
He says they are grateful to her but she needs to leave them alone and leave the house.
Karuna has tears in her eyes.
She leaves the room.


Amar is at the office.
He calls to ask for Bharat and he's informed that Bharat has gone to the factory.
