The Vow - Season 2 - Episode 62

At night, Amar is sleeping.

Gauri comes into his room and stares at him as he sleeps.
Amar wakes up and he's shocked to see her.
He asks what she's doing.
She tells him to go back to sleep as she just came to see him.

He tells her that it's not right to enter anyone's room at night.
She tells him he's not just anyone but Shivam.
As she is about to leave, she says he will tell her all about where he has been for the past 12 years in the morning.

Bharat comes to Divya and says he has to tell her something.
She tells him to go on.
He turns away from her and says he and Aditi are not married and she's actually someone else's wife.
Divya turns him around to face her and she tells him it's not a funny joke.

She sees the look on his face and knows he's serious.
She asks why he had to lie to them about such a thing.
He says he tried to tell her.
She says they love him but they can't tolerate the lie and Aditi will have to leave.
Bharat wakes up from the dream.

He tells himself that if he says the truth then Aditi might be asked to leave and he can't let that happen.
Shivam's mother sees Gauri in the kitchen.
Gauri asks her for the tea spice she kept specially for Shivam so that she can add it to his tea.

Shivam's mother is quiet.
His father tells her the tea spice is in his room.
As soon as she leaves to get it, his mother starts crying.
Shivam's sister-in-law asks his mother who left the kitchen door open.
She asks if it's Gauri who did it.
Her mother-in-law doesn't respond.

The sister-in-law says Gauri opened the kitchen door in the time of mourning and she doesn't understand why her father in law is keeping up with the pretense.
She suggests they tell Gauri the truth since she would find out eventually.
Gauri takes the tea to Amar's room.

He wakes up and sees her.
She offers him the tea.
He reaches for it and she tells him it's hot and he seems to have forgotten how to hold a cup made out of brass.
She wraps her scarf around it and serves it to him.

He takes a sip but doesn't seem to like it.
She asks how it is and he says it's very good.
Aditi tells Bharat that the wedding date is getting closer and they still haven't told his family the truth.

She asks if he will tell Divya today.
He says yes.
Gauri tells Amar that she has prepared the water for his bath.
He enters the bathroom and as he pours some water on his body, she peeps at him through the holes in the wall and asks if he has forgotten how to take a bath in the open.
He tells her to leave.

She continues to watch him.
He has his under garments on.
Shivam's sister-in-law sees her and asks what she's doing.
Gauri tells her that he dropped the pot he's using to pour water on his body so she needs to help him.

She enters the bathroom and picks up the pot.
Amar thanks her and asks who it is as his eyes are closed.
In Sindoora's house, Aniket says Amar did the right thing.
Chandra says she prays that the Lord gives the girl strength.
Divya says the entire family needs the strength because they are lying to someone they love so much which is not a good thing.

Bharat and Aditi stare at one another.
Divya says she doesn't know how they can keep up with the lie because the truth would eventually come out.
She tells Aditi to follow her to the market.
Shivam's brother and his wife are with a jeweler.
He shows them a set of jewelry and says he brought it for the bride.

Shivam parents walk in and his father tells the jeweler that they already have jewelry.
The jeweler leaves.
Shivam's father tells his son and daughter-in-law that nobody should know that the wedding has been called off.
Gauri is with her friend, gushing about Amar and how she felt when she gave him the pot and his hand touched hers.

She complains that he doesn't talk to her and she doesn't know if he still loves her.
Her friend complains that Gauri talks too much and doesn't give others a chance to speak.
She suggests that Gauri acts shy and speaks much less and behave more maturely.

She teaches her how to cover her face with her scarf and play with her hair.
Aditi is restless.
Bharat enters the room and she asks if he has spoken to Divya.
Bharat says he didn't tell Divya anything.
She asks why.

He says Divya is already worried about Amar as it is and if he tells her, she would be broken hearted.
Aditi says the more they delay, the more it will hurt.
She asks why he's not telling the truth.
Bharat doesn't respond.

When Aditi leaves the room, Bharat asks himself if it's the fear of losing Aditi that's making him not tell the truth, because he's in love with her.
Shivam's sister-in-law is upset that her in-laws are favouring Gauri over her; the same Gauri that has been a burden to the family since she was a child.
She tells herself that she will teach Gauri a lesson.

A woman comes into the house and asks if Shivam is home.
The sister-in-law says he isn't home.
The woman asks if they can help her with a few clothes as it is her daughter's wedding.
The sister-in-law warns her never to come and ask the family for anything just because they have money.

Gauri sees her sending the woman away.
Shivam's brother asks his wife why she sent the woman away empty-handed.
She tells him that they have enough problems as it is.
Bharat opens the wardrobe and sees a jewelry box.
He opens it and finds that it contains a lot of bangles.
Aditi enters the room to see him touching the bangles.

He quickly moves away.
She tells him that she's looking for her purse.
Their hands touch and they stare at one another.
Aditi finds her purse and leaves the room.
Bharat tells himself that he can never fall in love with her.
He is upset with himself.

Shivam's mother is staring at the urn that contains her son's ashes.
Her husband sees her crying.
She reminds him that tomorrow is the 4th day after their son's death and they haven't had a ceremony for him.
Her husband says they can't have the ceremony.
She suggests they tell Gauri the truth because they need to have the ceremony.

Her husband says they can't tell Gauri yet.
Their daughter-in-law comes in to tell them about the woman who came to ask for money for her daughter's wedding and the villagers think they can always come to the ask to ask for things because they think the family is preparing for a wedding.
Shivam's father says he will go and have a word with them.

The daughter-in-law seizes the opportunity to talk to her mother-in-law about Shivam and Gauri's upcoming wedding and the need to tell Gauri the truth.
Amar calls Divya to ask what he should do as Gauri keeps calling him Shivam.
Divya says she doesn't know.
He says the village head will tell her the truth today so he will be back home tomorrow.

He says he can't wait to spend the entire day with her and be a good husband.
He hears beads chiming.
He ends the call and sees Gauri.
She's covering part of her face with her scarf like her friend told her to.
She asks what he wants for lunch.
He says he doesn't want anything.

She starts talking about how good the food will taste.
She remembers her friend's advice and keeps quiet.
Amar doesn't say anything.
She says she will go and get him water.
She walks over to the table then she lets her scarf fall and she plays with her hair.
By the time she turns back, Amar is out of the
room.

Divya and Aditi are leaving the temple.
Aditi's purse falls as she is getting into the car.
When the car drives off, Aditi's husband, Karan, picks up the purse and calls a taxi.
