'Jemeji' Season 1 Episode 170 Recap - Aired: Friday 27 October 2017

Dethin is at the shrine furiously hitting a log of wood on the ground with a stick.
Mausi tells her to calm her down as the resolution for the problem might be her lack of patience.

Dethin doesn't look pleased.
Mausi softens and tells her to calm down as the gods may not have spoken but she is still their vessel and she alone with hear from them and regardless of what happens, she's Akweyon.
Seyive and Akweyon are sleeping on different beds at the clinic.

Matron berates Neza for absconding with Akweyon.
Senami comes in and matron asks to see her privately.
They go into Senami's office and Senami says she hopes Matron doesn't want to lecture her again.

Matron says she hasn't started because Akweyon should have been left alone at the shrine.
Senami says she needs help and she's cutting herself.

Matron says they have other ways.
Senami says she feels sorry for Seyive.
Matron assures Senami that Akweyon cannot harm Seyive in any way.
Senami asks why.

Matron says she will tell her something she may not understand immediately but it will become clear in time.

She says a long time ago, the mantle of Mausi landed on a young woman but it was decided that she wasn't worthy so her sister was chosen but she didn't want it and even though the original one had fallen out of line, she had already been groomed for it and the other sister felt like being the village priestess was like a death sentence for her, so she ran away and another woman helped her but terrible things happened that taught Matron not to try to change things.

She says the woman who helped the chosen priestess escape was Senami's grandmother, Iya Minasu.
Senami's is shocked.
The villagers are gathered around Michael West.

Fonton thanks him for the investment plan he brought to the village and he tells the villagers that he's a living testimony of the benefits of Boku Naira and to prove a point to them he's investing 50 thousand naira.
The crowd hails him.

Doris says her money is almost ready to invest.
Fonton tells them all to bring their money to him when they are ready and he will lead them to the nearest agent.

Daddy Love and Iya Oviyon are watching.
They are dressed in the same t-shirt and matching blue jeans with face caps.
Iya asks Fonton if all he has said is true.
Fonton tells her to bring her money so he can't help her invest.

She says she will discuss it with Oviyon first.
Fonton points out the matching outfits.
Iya asks what the problem is and if she shouldn't dress up anymore.

She walks away with Daddy Love.
Oviyon is at the clinic with Neza and Seyive.
Akweyon is still sleeping.
Oviyon is surprised to see what Akweyon's face looks like without the red bandanna.
Seyive begs him not to tell anyone.

Oviyon says he won't.
He drags Neza out of the room and asks why he disappeared like that.
Neza tells him not to be angry as it was Kingsley who helped him leave the police station and they had an agreement that he would leave Aji and not tell anybody what he knows about Iya Minasu.

Oviyon asks Neza why he didn't report Kingsley so they could arrest him.
Neza laughs and says Akweyon can't even talk.
He says he was confused and afraid because who knows what would have happened to him at the police station as Kingsley has everyone in his pocket.

Obi is in his bedroom at the place.
Folake comes to see Obi at the Palace.
She tells him that his sister came to see her and told her some things
He asks what.
She reminds him that he can trust her so he should talk to her, starting with Jalingo.

Obi says he was in prison in Jalingo, his father was a scammer, the white collar kind and could do any time or scam from pickpocketing to Yahoo Yahoo and his father introduced him to it at an age where he understood very little.
Folake asks if his father took him to Jalingo.
He says he grew up hearing things like he wasn't good enough and even till now his father tells him he will always be second and at that time he wanted to make his father proud, so he heard about a business in Jalingo, a telecoms company wanted to buy some lands and he told his father about it and when he was supposed to sell the land he didn't know his father had gone to pose as the owner of the land so Obi was arrested and locked up while his father sold the land.

Folake asks if his father had him arrested.
Obi says his father said he was trying to help him and would get him out.
He got himself out and left and he never looked back but his mum went to Jalingo to try to find him

His voice breaks as he says he didn't know his mother had gone to Jalingo to look for him and if he had just gone home, she wouldn't have had to.

Folake holds him and consoles him.
Senami comes to the shrine to confront Mausi about what she just heard about her grandmother.
Mausi says she doesn't know what she's talking about.

Senami asks how her grandmother interfered and if she was a witch.
Mausi ways Senami doesn't know what she's talking about and she might have to think about what she wants to ask.

Senami asks if It was Mausi her grandmother tried to help as Mausi has said in the past that she didn't want this life.

Mausi asks if she's asking or telling her.
Senami says Mausi didn't want the life yet she was trying to ruin Akweyon's life by keeping her against her will.

Dethin stands up.

Senami says she's referring to the other Akweyon and not Dethin who looks happy to be there.
Mausi asks if that's why Senami came.
Senami asks if that's why Mausi was sending her food

Mausi says it's like Senami already decided on her answers.
Senami says Mausi ought to be ashamed of herself because she wasn't there when her grandmother needed her to defend her before the villagers.

Mausi says according to Senami, she's powerless.
Senami says Mausi is indeed powerless because she couldn't save her grandmother, couldn't save the babies and now she can't save herself.

Dethin tries to rise up again but Mausi holds her down.
Senami leaves.
Jonah and Peace are sitting in the back of his car, kissing.

Doris walks by and clears her throat loudly.
They break apart and Jonah suggests to Peace that they go to a hotel where no one will disturb them.

Peace says she can't sleep with him.
He asks if she's done it before.
Peace says it doesn't matter and she wants them to take it slow.

He says they are getting married but he doesn't mind.
She asks if he's sure.
He says he is but still wants them to move to a hotel and he won't touch her.
Dr Jide is in the clinic.

Michael Wealth comes in with a bottle of liquor and places it at the table.
Dr. Jide says he would have asked how he found him but he doubts a smart man like him needs help as his business is going great.
Michael Wealth says he doesn't know what Jide is talking about.

Jide asks what they are celebrating then.
Micahel says they are drinking to unexpected potentials.
He says he saw Jide with the Otogan the day before.

Dr.Jide so he was there?
Michael asks how many other people have been able to figure out that Jide put the Otogan where he is.

Jide mimics Michael and says he has no idea what he's talking about.
He sips his drink and says he assumes a man with eyes like Micahel's knows a lot aboutOtoganthat he didn't let on.

Michael says they can assume that they have nothing to talk about and everything to tell each so Jide should start first, as the host.
Oviyon's boys are in the classroom, waiting.
Totai gets upset and starts shouting and complaining that he's not a child and shouldn't be treated that way

Senami walks in and explains that she won't be able to teach the class today.
Totai is even more upset.
Oviyon rushes in and asks Senami if she has spoken to Neza.

Totai stands up and asks his friends if they can see what's going on.
The others join in the protest.
Zosu asks Totai what's wrong with him.
Oviyon also confronts Totai and they almost come to blows.

Kingsley is at home.
He hears a knock on his door and goes to answer it.
He comes face to face with Mausi.
