'Jemeji' Season 1 Episode 143 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 20 September 2017

Peace is with Folake outside the palace.
Folake asks what she has come for.

Peace says she came to see Folake.
Folake says she wants to go and pack her things from the lodge.
Peace asks if she's moving to Wesere.
Folake says she's moving to the palace to stay with her man and protect her property.

Peace is happy for her.
She says it's good that they settled their differences as she wants to settle something herself.
Folake asks if it's Oviyon.
Peace says that is in the past; it's Jonah.
Folake says that's good.
Peace says there is a problem as he's Oviyon's cousin.

Folake asks what the issue is
Peace says he even says he wants to marry her.
Folake asks if he is fine and has money.
Peace says he's finer than Oviyon and he works in Lagos.
Folake tells her to hold him with her two hands and legs and not let him go.

Peace says what if he doesn't like her like she likes him.
Folake tells her to test him by asking him to do something for her to show her how serious he is.
At the lodge, Sesinu asks Senami why she and Kingsley were acting weird.

Senami asks what Sesinu knows about Kingsley.
Sesinu says she knows him from work.
Senami says Kingsley is not a lawyer.
Sesinu says Senami seems to know him well.
Senami says she stayed with him for a while.
Sesinu asks if it means he lives in Aji.
Senami says corpers stay with him every year.
Sesinu says she sees no reason why Senami
should stay with him or in Aji.

Senami says she already applied for redeployment.
Sesinu says the village is more insane than she thought with everything happening.
Senami asks if she remembers what she told her about who killed their grandmother.

She stops and says Kingsley can't be a killer.
Senami asks how well she knows him.
She starts to move away.
Senami asks where she's going.
Sesinu says she's going to bed.
Senami says Kingsley really killed their grandmother.

Sesinu says she's sure he has a good explanation.
Jonah comes to see Peace.
She asks what he wants.
He asks if she doesn't want him in the village; he can go.
She says she was only asking a question.
He says so she likes him.

She says she doesn't like anyone except they like her first.
He says he has already gone around telling people he wants to marry her.
She tells him not to lie to her like Lagos people do because she won't fall for that again.
He says he cares about her

She tells him to prove it.
He asks what she wants him to do to prove he cares about her.
She says she will let him know.
Kingsley is at home.
Sesinu walks in.
He asks how she found him.
She says Aji is not a big place.

He says he knows she has spoken to Senami but she hasn't heard his side of the story.
She says he came to Aji to hide from her.
He asks how.
She says he suddenly disappeared from the surface of the earth, leaving a woman alone without any explanation.

Daddy Love comes to Iya's house.
Oviyon asks what brings him so early.
Daddy Love says he and Iya made a bet on whose food tastes better so he has brought his food.
Iya brings hers from the kitchen.
Daddy love sys Oviyon will be the judge.
Oviyon says he might be biased towards his mother.

He tastes his mother's food first and he tells her it's perfect.
Daddy Love presents his own.
Oviyon tastes it and suddenly becomes quiet.
His mother asks what the verdict is.
He tells them that he has to go out.
She asks him again how it tastes.
He says he has to go out.

She tastes the food then asks Daddy Love where he bought it.
Daddy Love and Oviyon burst out laughing.
Iya says Daddy Love brought another woman's food to her house.
He laughs some more.
Folake is in the palace working on her laptop.
Obi says he hopes she's not blogging about his family.

She says of course not, she's just doing an article for Bimbo Tella.
He asks who she is.
She says she gets paid a lot of money to write about the things happening in Aji.

Obi says as long as it's not about him and the family.
Nowheyon walks in.
Folake asks what she wants.
Nowheyon says she wants to talk to Miyise.
Obi begs Folake to excuse them.
Folake leaves.

Nowheyon asks Obi what he wants to do to Sewedo.
Obi says it's the elders and not him.
Nowheyon says she wants to see him.
Obi asks if it's a good idea
Nowheyon says Sewedo wouldn't hurt her.
Dr. Jide enters the clinic complaining about how dirty the place is

He asks Matron for Seyive.
Matron says she hasn't been around.
Dr. Jide tells her to call Seyive.
Seyive and Akweyon are in a small room, sitting on a tiny mattress on the floor.
Seyive gets a call from Matron
She's happy to hear from her.
Matron asks where she is.
Neza takes the phone from her and tells her to stop talking as they are not going back to Aji.
Matron hears him.

He drops the phone.
Sesinu is sitting beside Kingsley on the sofa.
She asks why he ran.
He says he wouldn't call it running.
She says he left the city to come to the village.
He says those were trying times and he had to get away.

She says it made him look guilty.
He says he was already guilty.
She says leaving at that time made it look like he killed his wife
He says he may as well have; who knows what would have happened if he had stayed.
Sesinu says she knows he wouldn't have
harmed her, the same way she knows he didn't kill his wife.

He says he cheated on her andhe shouldn't have.
She asks if he's saying he shouldn't have fallen in love with her.
He says he regrets that it made his wife kill herself and how would it look when people find out he was cheating on her with her divorce lawyer?

She asks if that's why he's punishing himself by staying in Aji.
He says maybe.
She asks how long he's been there.
He says it's been a while.
She says she has been there before and she had no clue he was there.

He says he doesn't advertise himself.
She says Senami said some things about him.
He says he can explain what happened with him and Senami.
She asks him to explain.
He says on a second thought, he thinks it would be better for her to hear it from Senami.
Folake and Obi come outside the palace and see Dr. Jide coming in.

Folake asks how he had the guts to come there.
Jide asks how Obi got out.
Folake tells him he's asking silly questions.
He tells her to keep quiet.
She tells him to also keep quiet.
Jide says he's demanding to see the Chief's family..

Folake tells him that the people he's asking to see now seek Obi's permission before they lift a finger.
Obi says he doesn't need Jide anymore as he got out of prison on his own.
He instructs the guards to take him away and make sure he never enters the palace again.
Nowheyon comes to the bathroom to see Sewedo.

She asks how he could do that to that poor girl after sleeping with her.
Sewedo says he needs help and it's the village, ever since he got there, he's been doing things he would never do.

He begs her to help him so he can leave the village and make it stop.
She says she heard he used a spoon.
He says knives are too messy and a spoon will bring the eye out neat.
Nowheyon slaps him and calls him a monster.
Sonayan is at the shrine

She begs Mausi to help her; her son has sinned against the gods and she wants Mausi to help her so she can take her son away from the village.
Mausi says if she tries it, her son dies.
Sonayan pleads with her.

Mausi says she warned her and told her Miyise was innocent.
Sonayan says she's sorry.
Mausi says Sonayan was jealous and wanted revenge just because Otogan loved Miyise's mother more than he loved her.
Sonayan says she did it to protect her daughter.
She begs Mausi to allow her to take her son away.

Mausi says if Sonayan tests her, she will come for Sewedo herself.
Sonayan asks what she means.
