'Jemeji' Season 1 Episode 142 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 19 September 2017

At the shrine, Mausi orders the new Akweyon to get her a bucket of water.
The Akweyon responds 'Okay.'
Mausi asks her to repeat what she said.
New Akweyon says 'Okay' again.

Mausi pulls her up by her ear and asks if she knows who or what she is.
She grabs the red scarf covering the Akweyon's mouth and says maybe she should have chosen one of the other girls.
New Akweyon grabs Mausi's legs and holds on tight.
Mausi pulls her up and gives her a hug then tells her to remember that her voice belongs to the spirits.

She says it's not the Akweyon's fault, it's because she hasn't been properly cleansed.
At the palace, Sonayan asks the elders of the neighbouring village what they have done to her son.
One of the elders tells her it was her son that wanted to pluck out someone's eye with a knife and spoon.
He asks if that's what they do in Aji.
Nowheyon is shocked.
Sesinu starts to leave.
Folake tells her the drama just started.
Sesinu says she's seen enough to last her for a while.

She walks out.
Nowheyon grabs Sewedo and asks if it's true.
Sonayan tells her to stop.
Obi asks Sonayan if she knew what was happening all along and still set him up.
Sonayan tells the elders that she didn't want the people of Aji to know what was happening.
The elders from the other village say they will let the people know.

Sonayan says she is prepared to pay them not to say anything.
Obi says he thinks the police should be involved.
Johnde addresses the members of the other village.
He begs them not to bring shame to the village of Aji as they are brothers.
He assures them that they would call the police.
Senami still has the knife pointed at Kingsley.
He smiles and asks her if the police are coming like she claims.

He asks how she got the number of any police officer in Aji and asks why she's scared when she's the one with the weapon.
Senami says her sister is a lawyer and she can say she did what she did in self defence.
He asks what her plan of action is when she kills him.
He says he knows she would probably still be the one to save him when she injures him.
She tells him not to move.

He dismisses her with a wave of his hand and takes out his phone.
She grabs the phone from him.
He tells her to go ahead and see.
She plays the video she sees on the phone and it is the footage from the day she was abducted and taken to the baby factory.
She sees herself screaming at the top of her lungs which makes everyone in the factory pass out.

The knife drops from her hand and she asks Kingsley what's going on.
He says he doesn't know what she did but she killed everyone in that room.
Mausi is carrying out the cleansing of the new Akweyon.
She ties back the red scarf over her mouth and tells her that it would be better to cut off her tongue than to speak.

Oviyon comes to the palace and see the elders of the neighbouring village leaving.
Nowheyon comes outside to meet him.
She hugs him and he asks what's wrong.
In a shaky voice, she says Sewedo was the one cutting off the eyes and tongue.
Oviyon is shocked.

Inside the palace, Johnde explains to Obi that it wasn't their fault, Sewedo looked responsible and they didn't think he could do such a thing.
Folake asks if it's Obi that looks irresponsible.
Fonton tells them to just imagine if they had made Sewedo their Otogan.
Daddy Love says they still have Miyise to lead them.

Obi says they shouldn't waste time dwelling on negative stuff as the police will deal with Sewedo.
Senami still has the phone in her hand.
She says it's nonsense.
Kingsley tells her she killed 5 people asides from the pregnant woman she refused to help.
Senami says the video could have easily been faked.

He gives her a flash drive and tells her to see for herself.
He says he has copies all over.
She asks if they are all dead.
He says yes.
She asks where they were buried.
He asks if that matters.
Her demeanour changes to one of confidence as she says it matters because when she woke up, one of the women was awake.
He says it still doesn't make a difference.

She says he wants to prove that she killed people who aren't dead.
He says he can prove she knocked them unconscious with whatever she did.
She asks if he would get her arrested for that.
He reminds her that this is the same Aji that wanted to roast her alive and this time around they would roast her for real.
She says what about him who steals children.
He asks if she can prove it.

He says what he remembers is that he brought her to take care of some distressed pregnant women whom she decided to kill and maybe even eat their babies like her grandmother.
Senami says the people trust her now.
He asks if she's sure of that
Sesinu comes in and Kingsley is shocked to see her.

She calls his name and hugs him in excitement.
Fonton returns home to meet Jonah.
Jonah tells him that he's thinking of asking Peace to marry him.
Fonton says the same Peace that everyone in the village knows was involved with Jonah's cousin.
Jonah says Oviyon never wanted to marry her.
Fonton asks if Jonah wants to marry a Tokunboh.

Jonah says it doesn't matter and he just wanted Fonton to know.
Fonton says he wants to give him advice as someone who has been married several times and knows so much about marriage.
Sesinu asks Kingsley what he's doing there.
He says he was just leaving.
Sesinu says she is running into him after all that time and in Aji of all places.
Senami asks how they know each other.

Sesinu is about to respond but Kingsley quickly says they did some work together.
Sesinu says he is the friend of a friend.
Kingsley gives her a look to let her know not to say more than he has said.
She says they met through some friends and it was a work thing.
Sesinu sees the knife on the floor.
Senami picks it up and places it on the table.
Kingsley asks for his phone back.
Senami gives it to him.
He tells her to keep the flash drive then he walks out.

Sesinu asks Senami what that was about.
Iya Oviyon is in front of her house washing her vegetables in hot water.
Daddy Love comes and he tells her she is washing off all the nutrients from the vegetables.

Iya says he can't tell her how to wash vegetables because in the whole of Aji, nobody prepares vegetables like her.
Daddy love challenges her to a vegetable cooking contest.
They bet on it.
Obi enters the unfinished bathroom at the palace.

Sewedo is still tied up and sitting in the tub.
He asks if Obi has come to gloat.
Obi asks if he would be wrong if that's what he came for.
Sewedo laughs and asks if he thinks it is over.
Obi tells him he needs help but deserves punishment and he would make sure he gets it.
Sewedo asks if Obi thinks he can touch him.
Obi says maybe he should pluck out Sewedo's eyes.

Sewedo asks if he knows how to do it.
Sonayan runs in and begs Obi to forgive her and not do whatever he is planning to do.
Obi says she knew all along and she still let them arrest him.
She says she didn't know and only just found out.
He says when she found out, she still left him.
She says she had to protect her son.

Obi says he also has to protect himself for his own parents by getting rid of Sewedo.
Sonayan says they will leave.
She gets on her knees.
Sewedo tells her to stop begging him.
Obi comes outside the palace.
Nowheyon pleads with him and says she should have listened to him especially as she felt something wasn't right.

He asks if she doesn't think it's late now.
She says how was she supposed to know that her brother could do such?
She reminds him that he is also her brother and she believed him.
She asks if he's Miyise.
He says he is.

She reminds him that he said he wasn't.
He says he just said it as they wanted to kill him.
She says it's a good thing that he's over the madness that took over him back then and she hopes there's a cure for Sewedo too.
Obi smiles.

She tells him he's going to be the next chief and says if only their dad could see them.
