Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 105

Folake wakes up to see Obi staring at her lovingly.

She asks what it is.
He says he thinks he's in love with her
She says just like that?
He says one knows exactly what to say some times but other times he doesn't know what to expect, even she surprises him, it feels familiar, despite his back and forth, she's the only stable thing in his life.

She asks if it includes his parents.
He says his parents have nothing to do with them.
She asks if he thinks after the stunt he just pulled she's going to forget how much his stories don't add up.
He asks if he can see how he says she's full of surprises.

He asks her to move to the palace.
She says so he can throw her out when he's tired?
He says that won't happen.
She says they will talk about it when he's sure.
He says where she is, is not safe.
She says she will be fine.
She kisses him.
He says he officially changed his name.
She says it's not the first time he's changing his name.

She calls him Lionel and he's surprised.
She says she will stop teasing but whenever it is he feels like telling her the truth, she will be waiting.
Oviyon gets to the farm and sees the little boy.
He tells the boy that he will be the one to work on the farm if his workers don't show.
Senami calls him on the phone to inform him that his workers are in the clinic.
The workers were the young men beaten up by Fonton's boys the night before.
At the clinic, Senami asks Seyive if Neza told her something.

Seyive drops her mop like she's being accused of something.
She says she hasn't seen him since the last time.
Matron walks in and asks Senami what's up with Neza.
Senami says he's doing well and no longer a danger to anyone else.
She gets a call from Neza and excuses herself.
He tells her to start coming as he doesn't know how long he can hold Akweyon.

Akweyon is outside the hut.
Senami says she will be there.
Otogan and his guards are in Obi's room.
Otogan is holding an outfit.
He asks the guard oif he's sure it will fit Miyise.
The guard says he took the measurements with his eyes.
Otogan asks where Miyise is.
Obi walks in and the guard leaves.
Otogan tells him to try on the outfit.
Obi asks what it's for.

Otogan says it's for the parade where his name will be announced to the citizens of Aji.
Obi asks if it's necessry.
Otogan says he's the first son and needs to be prepared.
Peace and Petunia are on their way to the market.
Peace is frowning.
Petunia asks if she has done what she told her to do.

Peace says she doesn't think she can use Juju on Oviyon and she's not sure it will work.
Petunia asks if she didn't tell her that she uses it on Fonton and Half-a-day to make them do her bid and even other men in Aji are looking at her.
She grabs her breasts as she speaks.
She says other women in Aji do the same thing but they won't say so Peace needs to wise up.
Oviyon comes to see his workers in the clinic.

The workers tell him they were stripped of their valuables and beaten.
Matron says this is what the boys do and they collect heavy levies or flog you in the market square yet she was commending Fonton, thinking he was protecting them.
Oviyon says they are just trying to extort and bully people.
Matron says Fonton should be able to control them.

Oviyon says Fonton might not know all that the boys are up to.
He tells his boys to go back to the ward while he settles the bill.
Matron says Senami didn't wait for him to come.
He says he's sure she's with that her boyfriend Kingsley.
Neza and Akweyon are sitting outside the hut.
He is showing her how to use a phone.
She shakes it and he laughs.

She doesn't find it funny.
He tells her that her eyes are like the stars.
He leans in like he is about to kiss her but they are interrupted by Seyive and Senami.
Seyive sits next to Akweyon and pushes Neza aside.
She gives Akweyon the drugs Senami got her.
Akweyon sees Kingsley approaching.
She bolts up from the bench and picks up a stone
She thurls it at him then picks up a bigger one.
Neza tells her to stop.

The parade is on.
Obi and Otogan are dressed in the same fabric.
The town crier announces that their Prince has truly returned.
They start playing the drums.
Obi is dancing along with Otogan and doing a good job of it.
Folake is taking photos.
Fonton calls Petunia to complain that Obi has 'Used dance to dodge him.'
Dr. Jide dances close to Obi and reminds him that he still has the DNA results and if Obi doesn't behave himself then the results will come back negative and he will be disgraced before Mausi.
He breaks into his raucous laughter.
Kingsley is sitting in his car.
Senami apologises.
He says the savage almost blinded him and he knows Senami means well for the people but some things are best left alone.

She says Akweyon is not always like and she will go and find out what happened.
Seyive and Neza ask Akweyon to tell them what happened.
Akweyon ignores them and focuses on her drawing.
She is drawing the picture of a car on the ground.
Senami returns and tells Seyive that Akweyon's behaviour is indicative of someone who is suffering from a mental illness.
Seyive screams.
Senami says Akweyon needs to get away from Mausi and Aji and start a new life.
She asks if Seyive can handle it as she's ready to help them with shelter and food and even send them to school.

Seyive says what if Mausi gets them.
Senami assures her that she won't let her.
Seyive says she wants to tell Akweyon.
Senami says not yet, till everything is ready.
Peace hides in the bush near Oviyon's farm and takes out the love charm.
She rubs some on her hands and face then hides it before she continues to the farm.
She changes her steps as she walks.
Half-a-day and his boys are at the palmwine joint.
A young man trips and falls on their bench.
The boys tell him to kneel down and carry his Jerrycan.

Oviyon enters the joint and tells the young man to go.
He runs off
Half-a-day's boys ask Oviyon if he doesn't have a job to go to or he has forgotten how they dealt with him the last time.
He tells them that he has a job and has workers who they have stolen from.
He tells them that they have to return the phones and pay the hospital bill.
Half-a-day asks if his boys were not aware that there is a curfew.

Oviyon asks if they think they can just come to Aji and make a curfew.
Half-a-day dares him to come out when the curfew is in effect if he has 2 heads.
Oviyon says they are all cowards.
He walks away and they laugh at him.
Akweyon is at the shrine.
She looks around and doesn't see Mausi so she brings out the cellophane bag of drugs and the wristbands Neza gave her.
Mausi sneaks up behind her and takes the bag from her.

The armbands and drugs falls out.
Mausi asks what they are.
She steps on them.
Akweyon pushes Mausi down and picks up the wristbands.
Dr. Jide meets Obi in the bush.
Obi complains that he has been waiting for 3 hours.
Dr. Jide says it's a good thing that Obi is being obedient.

Obi asks what he was doing with Chief last night.
Jide says it's none of his business.
Obi says if anything happens to Chief, he will go straight to the police.
Jide says Obi is not getting a few things; first, he (Jide) makes the rules and if Obi is foolish enough to cross him, he will bury him and if he goes down, he will make sure Obi goes several feet beneath him.

Obi asks who he will report to and who he will report, Obi Lionel or Miyise.?
He says all he has to do is pack his bags and leave.
Jide seems to be thinking about it.
Obi says Jide has a life, reputation and career in Aji but all he (Obi) has to do is get out of Aji anytime he chooses
Dr. Jide tells him not to test him.
He kicks the grass in anger as he walks away.
Obi remains where he is.

A phone lands at his feet.
He looks up to see a palmwine tapper on a tree, watching him.
