Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 104

Senami is in the living room, working on her laptop.

Kingsley sits beside her and asks what petition she's writing.
She says it's for Akweyon.
He asks when NGO's started concerning themselves with priestesses.

Senami says she's an abuse victim.
He says the same person who wanted to burn down the clinic with Senami in it.
She says Mausi told her to do it.
He says she's going to get emotionally invested in saving someone who is happy where she is.
Senami says Akweyon's not happy.
He asks if she told her.
Senami says she might as well have.
He says he thought Akweyon has her mouth sewn up.

She looks at him.
He says she doesn't know how adorable she looks when angry.
He tries to kiss her neck.
Folake's blogger boss calls.
Folake goes into pleasantries but the boss tells her to cut the crap and give her the story.
Folake says she has a bit of trouble; where she is staying was vandalised and she's trying to stabilise herself.
The boss asks what her living condition is like.
Folake says she's working on it.

The boss tells her to get back to her before the end of the day with the estimated time for the article.
Folake ends the call and groans.
Neza is hiding in the bush and watching the shrine to see if he can get a glimpse of Akweyon.
He says he hopes the TB hasn't killed her.
Peace is passing by Fonton's place.
Petunia sees her and calls out to her.
Peace reluctantly goes to her.

She greets Petunia and Petunia jumps in excitement asking if she used it.
Peace doesn't respond.
Petunia tells her to wait and see something.
She calls Fonton.
He rushes out of the house calling her his hibiscus.
She tells him he looks very fine but married a wife with a big nose.
He asks who said that.

She says they will soon say it because she doesn't have any money to take care of herself.
He dips his hand into his pocket and gives her a lot of money.
He tells her to buy whatever she wants as he's ready to buy the world for her.
She thanks him.
He tells her to stop by and see Half a day to tell him to go to the lodge and check out what Otogan wants them to do there.
He leaves.
Peace tells Petunia that Fonton is her husband so what he has done is nothing out of the ordinary.

Half-a-day and his boys arrive.
He asks Peace if she won't greet him.
Petunia tells him to go and check a window inside the house that needs to be fixed.
He says he will check it.
He goes inside.
The boys hail her Petunia.
Peace is observing everything.
Petunia hides the money Fonton gave her and tells Peace to use the charm on Oviyon so he can do her bid.
Neza is still spying on the shrine.
Akweyon appears behind him.

He falls down in shock when he sees her.
He gets up and says he's been looking for her.
She frowns.
He asks if he wasn't supposed to look for her.
He says he's sorry and he has good news for her; he's cured and no longer has Tuberculosis.
He says he wants to help her and she needs medicine so he's there to take her to the hospital.
She shakes her head.
He says he wants to help her as she helped him because the thing can kill her.
They hear Mausi's ankle bells.

Akweyon gestures for Neza to run away.
He puts an object in her hand and she tucks it in the waistband of her skirt.
Fonton is at the clinic.
The villagers are thanking him.
He tells them not to worry as they will make Aji great again.
They leave.
Matron asks if he came there to hold his meeting.
He says it's not his fault that the people followed him there to thank him.
She asks what he's doing there.

He says she's his love and he decided to check on her after what happened last night.
She tells him he did very well last night; she used to look at him and his boys with suspicion but he did well.
He says there is nothing he wants to do other than to help his people.
She tells him not to get swollen headed.
Folake enters her room at the lodge in a towel.
She hears an angry voice asking who is in the lodge.

She quickly shuts the door and backs up against it.
The door is forced open.
Folake runs to the other side of the room.
Half-a-day and his boys enter.
He asks who she is.
She says she's a corper.
He asks what she is doing there.
She says it's the lodge for corpers.
He asks where she was before.
She says she was at her friend's place.
Half-a-day tells her to calm down as they are looking for some boys using the lodge as a hideout but since she's a corper, they will take care of her.

Folake nods, still scared.
Half-a-day says she looks like a wise Lagos babe.
She says she's from Ibadan.
They boys laugh and say it's all the same.
When they leave, she shuts the door, visibly shaken.
Senami and Kingsley are in a cosy position on the couch.
She is sitting with her legs across his body.
He holds her with one hand and has the TV remote in the other.

Senami says she can't believe she didn't go to work today.
He says he can.
She says he's being a terrible influence on her.
He says he will be any kind of influence.
Someone knocks on ithe door.
Senami answers it and it's Obi.
He enters and sits.

He says he was on his way back from Wesere and thought to drop by and say Hi.
Senami asks if he's looking for Folake.
He shyly admits he came for that too.
She says Folake is back at the lodge.
He asks why.
Kingsley says he had to kick her out.
Obi get a call from Otogan.
Otogan tells him to come to the palace.
Obi says he will be there.

Kingsley says Daddy is calling again right?
Obi looks surprised and confused.
He says he will see them later.
He leaves.
Oviyon is on the farm.
The little boy is there with his ball.
Peace comes to see him.
He asks what the matter is.
She scratches her head and says she wants to
discuss something with him.

He says okay.
She caresses his hand and chest and says since he works so hard, she wants to cook for him at her place
He says he's not hungry.
She rubs him some more and asks if he's sure he doesn't want to eat

He pulls back and says he doesn't understand what is going on but he doesn't want her soup.
He walks away and she looks like she wants to cry.
Dr. Jide and Fonton are with Otogan inside the palace
Dr Jide asks Fonton what lands are in dispute.
Fonton says it has passed land matter as those people want to kill them.

Otogan tells him to be careful what they says.
Fonton says they should also be careful about their lives.
Otogan says the Wesere Chief said he knows nothing about any of it.
Fonton asks if it's today they started lying.
Obi returns.
Otogan says his son is now officially Miyise Adome.
Fonton and Dr. Jide clap their hands and cheer.
Otogan sends for a bottle of wine.
Obi asks if he should be drinking.
Otogan asks if the shouldn't celebrate.
Dr. Jide says a little wine is okay.
The guard brings the wine and Dr. Jide opens it.
Obi looks at him with disgust.

Dr. Jide serves them all glasses and toats 'To Miyise our son.'
At night, some young men of the village run into Half-a- Day's boys.
They boys ask them what time it is.
The young men laugh and say with all the levies they collect they should be able to buy wrist watches.

Half-a-day'sright-handd mam asks if they are not aware of the curfew.
They young men say they are coming from work and they are not like the thugs who collect levies from people, they have real jobs.
The thugs pounce on them and beat them up.
Obi is lying in his bed at the palace, wearing just a pair of shorts.
He picks up his phone and tries to make a call.
He puts on a top and leaves the room.
Folake is lying on her mattress.
She hears loud banging on the door.
She goes to answer it and it's Obi.
He walks in without saying a word.

He walks up to her and kisses her.
