Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 103

The sound of gunshots and explosions continue into the night.

Senami, Seyive and matron are in the clinic.
They close the door and put some benches up against it.
They hear banging on the door and run back in fear.

Dr. Jide and Obi force the door open.
All the people who were at Fonton's feast, including Otogan and his guards, rush inside.
Senami asks what's going in as she cannot take another riot.

Dr. Jide says he never thought he would see terrorists in Aji.
Obi tells Dr Jide that he's tired of the village and wants to ...
Dr Jide gives him a look and he keeps quiet.
Iya Oviyon out of fear, politely asks Senami if she's heard from Oviyon as he's not picking his call.

Senami says she hasn't heard from him.
They hear more shots and explosions.
All the women scream and cower in fear.
Dr Jide asks if they will sit back and let the terrorists keep attacking them.

Obi asks if they know who it is.
Fonton says it's the same people who have been terrorising their village since and they have now come to finish their job but they can't continue to sit back and let the other village do this to them.

Otogan says it's not possible that it's people from the next village.
Fonton says they can't keep lying to themselves; that they are neighbours to Aji doesn't mean they are not enemies.

Otogan says he will call the Chief of the next village.
Fonton says that will only let them know they are not ready.
An elder asks Fonton if he didn't say he would
protect them.

Fonton says Otogan said his boys are causing more troubles so be pulled the boys off their posts.
They hear another shot.
Iya Oviyon cries for her child.
Obi tells Fonton to call his boys.

Fonton says he doesn't even know how he will talk to them because the boys are very upset.
He calls Half-a-day on the phone and says he knows it would be hard for him but he needs their help.

Half-a-day is with Petunia in Fonton's house.
He tells Fonton that he understands and he's on his way.
Peace rushes into the house and says they are shooting outside.
Half-a-day leaves.
Petunia asks Peace why she's panicking when it's just those boys.

She says matters don't arrange her but she arranges them and she will teach Peace how to handle men so she can control Oviyon and get him to do what she wants.
At the clinic, they are waiting in fear.
Dr Jide tells Obi that he's tired of warning him.
Obi says he's tired.

Dr. Jide asks what's wrong with him.
Obi says he's done.
Dr Jide asks if he thinks he got them there by being sloppy.
Obi asks what he's saying.

Dr. Jide says he prepared himself for anything which includes Obi trying to leave.
They hear more shots, then banging on the door.
The women scream.
Half-a-day bursts the door open.
His boys follow

Fonton asks if the coast is clear.
Half-a-day says it is.
Fonton shakes hands with him.
Otogan and the villagers enter the Palace.
Dr. Jide tries to go in but Obi blocks him.
Dr Jide asks what's going on.

Obi says Otogan has had a long day and he's tired.
Dr. Jide insists on going in.
Obi tells the guards that Otogan is changing his doctor so the old one is no longer welcome.
He goes in and the guard prevents Dr Jide from following him.

Kingsley and Folake are standing in Kingsley's living room.
Folake is leaning against the wall.
Kingsley says he won't try to stop her if she wants to run.

Senami walks in.
Folake complains about the village.
Senami says she knows.
Kingsley hugs her and says thank you.
Senami asks what for.
He says for staying safe

Folake rolls her eyes in disgust.
Kingsley asks if Senami is ready for the story of detective Folake.
He asks Folake what her surname is.
She ignores him.
He says detective Folake and the case of the secret wife.

Folake says Kingsley is scum and has been playing Senami because he has a secret wife he's been hiding.
Senami asks if they are playing a joke on her.
Folake says she hates to be the one to tell her Kingsley is a liar.
Kingsley says Folake has been following him around and she thinks he's a criminal mastermind and his cousin Saul is his henchman.
Senami tells Folake that she should be serious and should be thanking Kingsley instead of being weird.

Folake says just because it's weird doesn't mean it's not true.
Kingsley says it's true and Folake should run for her life before he sends his bloodthirsty henchmen to kill her.
She doesn't respond.
He tells her to leave his house.

Senami says they don't know what will happen to her especially after all that has happened.
Kingsley says exactly, she should leave.
Folake looks contrite.
Kingsley laughs and says she should see her face.
She asks if she can stay.

He says just for the night.
She asks what happens after tonight.
He tells her she has used up all her strikes.
At the palace, everyone watches as Fonton makes a show of talking on the phone to his boys to put things in order.

After the call. he tells Iya Oviyon that his boys will escort her and Iya Francis home.
When the women leave, Fonton says he's also going.

An elder begs him to wait a while.
He commends him on the great job he has done tonight.
Fonton says anyone in his position will do it.
The elder says they need to consider something about the boys.

Fonton says Otogan put an end to their services.
Obi tells Otogan to reconsider his stance.
Otogan says he will think about it.
He dismisses the elders.

Ater they leave, Otogan tells Obi to imagine if he had died, there would have been nobody to guide the people of Aji.
Obi says he knows what he will do, he will change his name to Miyise.

Oviyon returns home in the morning.
His mother asks if he didn't hear all the gunshots and bombings of the night before.
Oviyon says he thought it was fireworks.
His mother says that was how they would have killed her.

He says he went to Wesere.
She asks how the terrorists didn't catch him since they came from there.
He tells her not to says it's the same people who put blood on the doors.

Half-a-day, Fonton and the boys storm the market.
Half-a-day warns that nobody should be seen outside after 6 PM.

Iya Francis asks Fonton about it.
He says it's a 'coffin, no curfew' that they have to adhere to.
Kingsley's driver helps Folake drag her bags out.
She warns him no to destroy it.

He dumps the bags on the floor and walks away.
Senami and Kingsley come outside.
Folake asks Senami if she will really watch her leave.

Senami says it's not her house.
Kingsley locks the porch gate.
Folake asks if Senami will really stay with a man sending her friend into the streets.
Senami says she's not going to the streets but to the corper's Lodge where they all used to live.

Folake tells a Senami to keep deceiving herself, she's there feeling like a madam of the house.
She drags her bag, mumbling to herself in Yoruba.
Obi is ready to go and change his name.
Otogan tells him to call afterwards.

Obi leaves.
Otogan calls his guards and tells them to call him Jide.
They look at themselves.
He barks at them to go and do what he asked them to.

Petunia gives Peace a black cellophane bag.
Peace opens it and screams.
Petunia says it's a love charm that will make Oviyon love her.

Peace asks if she went to see Mausi.
Petunia says she did and the content of the bag is Peace's blood to make Oviyon love and do her bid.

Peace says she wants him to love her from inside.
Petunia says it will make him love her from inside.
Fonton comes in and Peace leaves.
Petunia tells him he has done well.

She says everyone was jittery last night.
Fonton says even Doris said it was a bomb and Otogan couldn't speak.
Petunia says they will now move to phase two to ensure nobody else can be Otogan if Mausi doesn't sanction it.

Fonton exclaims and asks how they can achieve that.
Petunia reminds that he's Miyise's custodian so he will let everyone know Miyise hasn't accepted Aji customs, that way, he will not be considered for the position.
