Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 98

Obi's fake parents are walking behind Folake
The woman complains that the place is far and they didn't tell Obi they were going so far.

Folake says the place is not far and Obi knows they are with her.
She asks how Obi was as a cute baby.
The woman says he was very cute.

Folake says he wasn't a baby when they found him though.
The man says his wife just used to call him a baby.

Folake asks if it's first sons that Port Harcourt people call Obi.
They become uncomfortable.

The man says Obi was his grandfather's name.
Folake says what about Lionel?
The woman asks where she saw a lion.

Folake says that's Obi's middle name.
The man says Obi's middle name is Andrew.
Obi runs up to them and asks Folake where she's taking his parents to.

Folake asks if she can't show them around.
Obi says he will come with them.
At the shrine, Akweyon is still on her knees with her hands tied behind her back.

Mausi flogs her with a broom and says she will beat the stubbornness out of her.
She enters the shrine then returns to serve Akweyon some water to drink.

She unties her hands then pulls her up and tells her that her sins are forgiven but the next time she defies her, there will be blood.
She hugs her.

Obi tells Folake that it seems every time he turns his back, she's following his parents around.
She says she just wanted to show them around the place he was born.

The father says it seems Folake loves their son.
Folake invites them to a party at her place tomorrow.
Obi says they will be busy.

Folake asks Obi if he would like to come then.
He asks if she's inviting him.
She says she doesn't want to be the 3rd wheel around Kingsley and Senami.

Otogan and the elders get to the Palace.
They meet Fonton sleeping outside with his mouth open.
Otogan wakes him up and says he can see Fonton has been working all night.

Fonton says he's doing the job Otogan asked him to do.
Otogan tells him to join them when he is done sleeping.
Inside the Palace, Otogan says they've seen the work done at the clinic but Fonton needs to explain to them how a man who says he cares about the people could endanger the lives of the same people with expired drugs.

Fonton says he didn't know they were expired because he paid a lot of money for the drugs but he was cheated.
One of the elders asks about the toll gate money that Fonton and his boys have been collecting from the people of Aji.

Otogan tells him to explain in whose authority he built the toll gate.
Fonton says he's only trying to safeguard the lives and properties of the people of Aji.
Otogan asks what he has achieved because from what he has heard, there is still trouble all over; his boys are busy terrorising the people of Aji that they are supposed to be protecting.

Fonton says it's normal for young ones to use their youthful energy to cause trouble but it's not out of hand.
Otogan asks if he should be held responsible for them.

He asks where the boys were when the corper's lodge was being vandalised.
Fonton goes mute.
Otogan says not long ago, the corpers of Aji were threatened and he had to speak with the local government and the police, he put his name on the line but today they've vandalised the corper's lodge again.

He says Fonton should know the responsibility and blame are on his head.
Fonton asks if Otogan wants to blame him again.

Otogan says he wants to see the record of all the money he has collected from the people and he should bring half of it.

Fonton says the money is not a lot.
Otogan says the money would be used to fix the damages and the rest will be used to make a borehole for the village and even repair the roads.

Fonton says half of the money is too much.
Otogan says he thought he said it wasn't a lot.
The elders leave.

Fonton is about to follow.
Otogan orders him to come back.
Folake is waiting on the side of the road.
Glory walks up to her and asks why Folake sent for her

Folake offers her hand and says she wants a truce.
Glory doesn't understand.
Folake breaks it down for her.
She says she knows Obi likes her so she won't come between them.

Glory is shocked that Obi likes her.
Folake says she's tall and pretty with beautiful eyes so it's no surprise that Obi likes her.
Glory says she thought Folake and Miyise were together.

Folake says they are not together.
She tells her about the party and says Obi wants her to come.
Glory says she would come.
Otogan is walking with Fonton through the village.

A guard holds an umbrella over Otogan's head and fans him as they walk.
Otogan tells the guard to go and call Obi and to give the umbrella to Fonton.

Fonton is shocked.
Otogan asks if he won't take it.
The guard gives the umbrella and fan to Fonton.
Doris sees them and Fonton turns his face away.
Doris snickers.

Fonton looks like he wants the ground to swallow him up.
Otogan tells Fonton that everything has a structure that's why some people become Chief's and some remain elders.

Doris gathers the women and they laugh at Fonton.
Otogan and Fonton stroll past the palm wine joint and the men laugh at Fonton.
Fonton turns his face away in shame.
Folake is working on her blog.

She posts the photos of the damage at the corper's lodge.
Something in the photo catches her eye and she zooms in.
She's shocked at what she sees.
Senami is in the living room.

Kingsley says he heard her phone ring.
Senami says it's Folake and she can say what she wants to say when she gets back.
He asks if he can sit beside her.
She asks if he told Oviyon about the dinner.
He says while he's getting his explanation ready, can she explain what happened in the morning?
She says she moved out and moved back.

He says they kissed and her next move is to pack and flee.
She says 'So?'
He says he thought she needed closure with Oviyon that was why he decided to talk to him.
She's shocked.

He says it's not like he told Oviyon that they made out, he just wanted to be upfront with him.
She tells him it's not his place.
He says he thought she and Oviyon needed to decide what they are doing, besides Oviyon was too drunk to understand what he was saying.
He apologises.

He asks if she's still planning to move out.
She says it's not like she has anywhere else to go.
He says he has no regrets in kissing her and only regrets she pulled back.

She is staring at him.
He says even if she only needs him to help her get over Oviyon, he's at her service.
He gives her a peck on the cheek and leaves the room.

Folake comes to the lodge.
She examines the shirt she saw in her photo.
She looks confused and calls out to see if there is anyone there.

She gets to her room in Kingsley's place and sees Saul searching her wardrobe.
She asks him if he lost his way.
He offers his hand for a handshake.
She screams and runs out.

She gets to the main house.
Senami and Kingsley meet her outside.
She tells them that Saul broke into her room.
Kingsley says he asked him to do some maintenance in preparation for the dinner.

She asks why he had to go to the BQ.
He says he already did the main house and went to the BQ as a bonus.
Saul joins them
Kingsley tells Senami to take Saul inside as he left some money for him

Senami and Saul go into the house.
Kingsley stops Folake and says if he didn't know better he would say she has a problem with people entering other people's rooms without getting invited.

Her jaw drops.
He tells her that's how it feels.
