Enticed - Season 1 - Episode 44

Me: hey…. hi.

Trisha: um… Hi

Me: you look amazing…. Beautiful…. Wow.

Trisha: thanks… What are you doing here?

Me: I am not here to cause any trouble, I promise

Trisha: well…

Me: well…. Mother wanted to know where his son is and it seems you are the last person to see him.

Trisha: why didn’t you call?

Me: its either you don’t answer your phone or your phone is unavailable.

Trisha: I am sorry… I have been busy.

Me: well… Where is Henry?

Trisha: (drops her head and holds her forehead) I don’t know… He won’t tell me.

Me: what happened between you guys?

Trisha: long story… Eventually, he disappeared for my own good.

Me: why would he do that?

Trisha: I don’t know okay.

Tears started forming in her eyes and she looked up to avoid them from falling down. She put her files on the table then went to the kitchen and came back with a glass of water.

Me: when last did you talk to him.

Trisha: two days ago.

Me: where did he say he was going?

Trisha: I said I don’t know… All he said was he was going on some business trip.

Me: okay… I will tell mother that you are clueless just like us.

She was upset and getting irritated. Her phone rang and she answered without looking at the caller. She snapped at the poor caller.

Trisha: what? Oh… I am on my way just give me a few minutes… Yes. Excuse me do you even know who you are talking to…. Well go and take care of it then. If this becomes a disaster you are losing your job so make sure everything is alright… I am on my way.

She was really angry and I knew that driving is her hard limit when she is angry… She stomped to the table on took her stuff.

Me: don’t you need a driver?

Trisha: I have a driver’s license.

Me: I know but now you are angry and you shouldn’t drive while angry.

Trisha: Are you a policeman now… Look I told you that I don’t know where my husband is… Now if you may excuse me… I have to go to a conference.

Me: and I am happy to drive you…

She gave me a stern look.

Me: look Trisha… How many times have you caused an accident while driving angry…?

She closed her eyes for some few minutes and gave me the keys. Good choice, sometimes I wonder who was the person who marked her driving because he was certainly not focusing. I headed to the car and opened the door for her. She entered and smiled at me. When I started driving she put one of those blue tooth devices in her ear and opened her laptop. She was yelling at her stuff the whole way until we arrived at the conference center. I opened the door for her and followed her inside. To my surprise there was no Media… I thought this place would be crowding with Paparazzi.

Trisha: since you have no intention of leaving me… Please go and get me some drink… Non-alcohol… Nowadays my body can’t handle alcohol at all.
She said and headed to some gentlemen who were panicking. She looked at them with so much anger and I dreaded to be them at this moment.

I went to the bar at the other side of the conference room and got her two cans of ginger beer, I know how much she loves this drink. When I gave her the drink she didn’t even look at me. She was furiously typing.

Me: can I take a look at that.

Trisha: this is just my presentation…

Me: you didn’t finish your presentation.

Trisha: Zenzie… you should know that I like being presentable. These two nut heads behind me deleted it.

Me: I can recover it.

Trisha: you can? But it was permanently deleted.

She raised her head and looked at me.
Me: trust me

I took her laptop and worked my magic. In a matter of minutes I was done. She smiled and nodded at me opening her can.

Trisha: thank you.

Me: you are welcome… may I ask what this conference is all about.

Trisha: well, we are planning on buying another airplane. We have this company that sells furniture, the Parisha furniture shop it’s a chain store. It’s a big shop that imports furniture straight from china. We will be finalizing our deal of joining hands with that company and my father’s plane will be transporting their goods after that we celebrating it.

Me: so it’s like they are giving you a transport-tender

Trisha: no… we are going to be their transporter until the end of the road.

Me: your father left his company in good hands

Trisha: you think so… honestly I am just trying let’s go to the bar, the other representatives are not here yet and I guess they won’t be here for the next 10 minutes. So let’s go to the bar.

Me: I thought you didn’t want to drink.

Trisha: I don’t want to… but I guess a glass won’t hurt.

Me: yes, make sure you stick to one glass.
We sat at the counter. I took her laptop and she started explaining to me all about her father’s business. To tell the truth everything was interesting about it. She was calmer with me now and she could even laugh.
