Enticed - Season 1 - Episode 43

Henry

It’s been two days since I last saw Trisha and it was eating me up. The conference room of the hotel was being set up, something big was going to happen.

The bartender kept on glancing at me as if he wanted to say something but he kept himself busy with the glasses that he kept on polishing. I was at the bar of the hotel I was staying at for the mean time, I didn’t leave the city because I couldn’t bear to stay far away from Trisha and also because of Zenzele, after what happened I can barely start to trust him. I looked at him and motioned for another bottle. He brought out another bottle and opened it for me. My phone rang… it was Trisha, I ignored her call. With the way I am drunk, I can’t risk her listening to me like this.
Bartender: women?
Me: wife, I don’t understand what she wants me to do.

Bartender: I know what you mean

Me: do you have a wife?

Bartender: divorced… I couldn’t deal with her… she was always whining all day.

Me: you think you have found your relieve?
Bartender: yes… I mean if she doesn’t give you a break… give it to yourself and well Divorce is the best solution

Me: (shake my head) no way… I can’t leave without her, I think you didn’t love her.

Bartender: well if you can’t leave without her then what are you doing her?

Me: what am I doing here? She told me that she needs space

Bartender: if she told you that then why is she calling you nonstop?

Me: she said she didn’t mean it because she was drunk.

Bartender: and you left… man do you know what you have done… with my little knowledge that I have on women I can tell you that when they get hurt they have a tendency of letting their emotions take over them and often that happens when their ex is around.

Me: oh no… that won’t happen. I am keeping an eye on her… you know the funny thing is her Ex is my brother.

Bartender: you are keeping an eye on her?

Me: yes… I happen to be in love with a woman who tends to think that suicide is the solution to her problem…

Bartender: man you are messed up.

Me: tell me about it.

Bartender: a little advise keep yourself sober 99.9% of the times because she can strike anytime and what will you do when she strikes right now.

Me: I see your point, any way I must head back to my room.

I gave him my credit card.

Bartender: good luck with your life Mr. Tyson.
He said looking at my credit card. I nodded.

Me: thanks… I am so glad I don’t have to drive, I am starting to see double.
He laughed and shook his head while I stumbled off the seat and I headed to the elevator. I entered the elevator alone and I was thankful for that. To the 5th floor. I leaned on the side and closed my eyes, the elevator opened on the third floor and I opened my eyes only to close them again then open them again… shit, am I starting to hallucinate. Standing before me stunned as I am was my ex-girlfriend Melissa and she was looking hot as ever in a silver silk dinner dress and the perfect make up.

Mel: Henry…

Me: Shit! I think my eyes are failing me.

Mel: no henry it’s me… Melissa… Mel

Me: I think I have had too much to drink.

Mel: yes you are drunk and miserable what happened to you?

Me: is it really you?

I stumbled to the other side almost falling. And she held m for support.

Mel: Jesus Christ Henry… what happened to you?

Me: long story

The elevator opened and she helped me to, my room.

Mel: which room number?

Me: 312

I gave her my keys and she opened up for me then led me to my room and threw me on the bed.

Me: are you going somewhere

Mel: yes… a business conference that is being held down stairs.

Me: oh… how great. You have a good life.

Mel: oh my god you are completely sloshed.

Me: I don’t care, can you please tell me why women are so hard to get.

Mel: oh… it’s about a woman. I told you to stay away from girls or they are going to burn you.

Me: it’s not just girl Mel… it’s my head

Mel: what is it then?

Me: my wife

Mel: what…! You have a wife?

Me: is it so hard to believe?

Mel: yes… who can manage to stand your dinosaur mother?

Me: her name is Trisha Tyson.

Mel: nice name… does she know that you are here?

Me: no, no, please don’t tell her… I beg you

Mel: I don’t even know her relax… although I am surprised that she managed to get you to this point.

She pulled me up to the pillows and placed a blanket over me.

Mel: I have to go now you owe me big time for getting me late.

Me: hey I didn’t ask you to help me… I think I am going to be sick.

She ran to the door and brought back a bin which I immediately puked on. I looked at her and without warning the vomit splashed from my mouth to her dress and she screamed.

Mel: eew!! Heenryyy!

Me: oh… I am sorry… mmh
Eventually I passed out.

It’s been two days now and henry is missing, he just disappeared without telling anyone. Mother has been worried although he constantly sends messages that he is fine. So now I have been sent to Trisha’s house so that she can tell me where my d--k of a brother is. As much as I hate to do this… I had no choice because mom thinks I am still Trisha’s “good friend” so if I blow that cover then I will have to explain exactly how I know Trisha.

I nocked at her door and her mother opened up for me. I haven’t really figured out if she likes me or not but she doesn’t give me an attitude so I am fine with that.

Me: good morning.

Mrs. Sindia: morning… Please come in.
She led me to the living room…

Mrs. Sindia: sit down… And tell me how I can help you?

Me: I would really like to see Trisha.

Mrs. Sindia: I am sure she will be here any second now. She is going out.

Me: ok thanks.

Mrs. Sindia: in the meantime… Let me get you some cookies.

She stood up and went to the kitchen and came back with cookies then went outside using the back door. Trisha came downstairs wearing a long black designer dress. It long sleeves and straps on the chest. She had her hair in a bun and a gold clutch bag with sparkling high heels. She looked magnificent. She was walking slow talking to the phone. As soon as she saw me she paused and hanged up, her face turned pale even though she was wearing heavy make-up. I stood up.
