Me: congratulations your husband is going to be so happy.

Merry: you are the father…

me: What! I am the father…. Are you crazy

Merry: don’t even try to deny it

Me: abort the thing.

Merry: no! Abortion is murder… Its against my principles.

Me: Merry… Do you want to destroy my family?

Merry: no

Me: do you want a divorce from your husband?

Merry: no… But

Me: no buts… You are going to get rid of that thing.

Merry: stanley… I am not going to do that


Me: have you got a much better idea…

Merry: I will my husband that its his child.

Me: merry… I cannot stand to know that my child is being raised by another man. Second… This things have a way of rising again to cause damage in future… So you will remove that thing. Or I will remove it myself… (Shows her a gun)

Merry: Stan

Me: am I clear?

Merry: okay…

Me: I will make an appointment with my doctor for that… Take this money.

I gave her the money…. Darkness… Flashlights…. I can’t breath… The sound of metal… Is this hell!

A nurse came out of the room running… What is happening in there. Mom came out of room she has been kept inside with a doctor behind her. I ran to her and hugged her.

Me: mom… How are you.

Mom: I’m fine sweetheart.

Henry: doctor… What is wrong with her.

Doctor: don’t worry it was just shock.

Me: what about my father…. What is wrong with him.

Doctor: he had a panic attack… We are trying to keep things under control but he keeps on having continues sizzuers.

Me: oh no!

Mom: will he be alright.

Doctor: we are still working on that.
He left… I knew they were doing all I they could but I felt like they were not doing enough. I sat down with my mother.
“I am really tired… I want to go back home” I turned to look at who was talking. It was the girl… What is she doing here again. She is probably Zenzele’s girlfriend… No why am I even thinking that… But then really who are they and what do they want.

Zenzele: I know where they stay… We will go to his place after he is conscious.

Boy: are you serious… You stayed with mom the whole week when she was unconscious because you wanted answers and you want us to leave him… We also want answers.

Zenzele: your mom is at the car… She still needs to rest… We must take her home.

Girl: Zandile has a point.

Boy: stop calling the dude Zandile will you… And if you want to go back… You can go. I am not going anywhere.

Girl: whatever I am going.

I catch Zenzele staring at me then he takes the boy’s hand.

Zenzele: we are going… No negotiations.
