Starting from his feet, I begun pouring acid on Jason as he kept on wincing and staring at me in awe. The parts where the acid landed were burnt beyond recognition instantly.

When I arrived at the waist, I took a pause and using my phone, took some pics of Jason’s semi acidified body. Jason had blacked out now. What with all the pain he had to endure after acid being poured on his legs.

Jeez, just thinking about how intense the excruciating pain was gave me the creeps.
So, when I was done taking the pics I angrily mumbled, “You messed with the wrong b---h, Jason!” and then I poured acid on the rest of his body, his face inclusive.

I took some more pics of him and went over to the shower, took off my clothes and scrubbed Jason’s blood off my body, peering at his disfigured body.

When I was done showering, I dressed up and stepped into the night.

By the time I arrived at my home in Mtendere, it was past 4 AM. I immediately got my PC and sat down on my favourite couch. I tuned in to the camera in Nancy’s room. The room was dark and I could only make out Nancy’s silhouette on the bed.

What sort of wife sleeps soundly not knowing where her husband is? I thought.

Using my private line, I gave Nancy a call. My phone had some trick where you could change your voice to a man’s, woman’s, or child’s. I had selected the child option so as to protect my identity.

After a few rings, Nancy picked up.

“Who on earth dares to call me at this hour?” she snapped, sitting up and flicking the sidelamp on.

“Try to guess.” I flatly said.

“What’s the meaning of this rubbish?” asked Nancy angrily. “First you call me at this hour, you’ve got some funny voice and then you ask me to guess who you are? If you don’t want to tell me who the hell you are then am hanging up!”

“Be my guest.” I said and I heard the phone beep, Nancy had cut.

I smiled as I sent her the pics of Jason lying in the bathtub and his body burnt with acid.
On my PC’s screen, I could see the terror in Nancy’s eyes as she perused the pics. “No!” she gasped.

I gave her another call and she picked up almost immediately.

“Cathy!” she exclaimed. “You b---h!”
I let out a laugh. “Cursing me won’t bring back your husband.” I mockingly said. “It’s indeed the perfect revenge isn’t it?”

Nancy didn’t reply as she began to sob.
“Yeah,” I said. “It’s sad. I really get it.”
“You’re the devil himself!” said Nancy in-between sobs. “You’ll pay for this.”
“You guys are fond of making empty threats, aren’t you? Everytime it’s she’ll pay for this, Cathy will pay for that!” I paused, clicking my tongue. “It’s becoming a cliche you know?”
Silence.

“I know you are behind my son’s kidnapping.” she sobbed, breaking the silence. “What did you do to him?”
“Don’t worry about your son.” I replied at once. “He’s in a faraway country. Away from his cruel relatives. He’s perfectly fine.”

“Cathy, you’re heartless!”
“You guys made me this way.” I told her point blank. “Anyway, that’s not why I phoned. I phoned so that I could inform you of your husband’s demise and where to find his corpse. Am certain it’ll be all over the news tomorrow.”

I paused, remembering how with much effort, I had managed to put Jason’s badly burnt corpse in the backseat of his Hilux and driven it to the middle of nowhere.

I resumed my talking. “Some free advice, Nancy. Stay alert, you might not know when next I might strike or who. But you can be certain of one thing, both you and Cynthia will pay for what you did to me. This is just the beginning. The worst is yet to come…”
