“Jesu!!!” screamed Jason Banda in agony.
Why wouldn’t he scream when a hot pressing iron had just been placed on his left thigh?

His skin hissed as it burnt, releasing smoke and the pungent smell of burning flesh.

Using his free hand, Jason tried to strike at me who was on top of him but I reacted impulsively, placing the iron on his palm.

Jason let out a groan full of misery. “You’re a devil!” he hissed through gritted teeth, withdrawing his hand.
“Am I now?” I scoffed, getting off him, dumping the pressing iron on the floor and going back to my chair. “Jason Banda, I loved you with every fibre of my being. But how did you repay my love? You ganged up on me with your brother and my cousin and twin sister. You of all people should have defended me from those heartless people but what did you do? You sided with them, mocking me to my face and gloating to say I wasn’t the first person to get la!d and dumped.” I paused, tears falling freely now. Jason was groaning with his eyes shut. I went on, “As if that wasn’t enough, you guys practically left me for dead in that inferno. Do you know how painful it is to see the people you love and perceive as family and friends do that to you? Do you have any idea how it feels to sit bound to a chair and literally wait for fire to engulf you alive? Do you know how it feels to wake up from a comma four months later just to learn the only true family you had left had had an asthma attack due to your disappearance? You have absolutely no idea what s--t you guys put me through!”

I stood up, taking a deep breath and walking over to the wardrobe where I got a sharp blade. I walked back to where Jason was lying, tossing in pain as the chains prevented him to rid himself from the bed.

I sighed, peering down at his thigh where the shape of the pressing iron was now visible.
“Why are you so bitter?” Jason whispered in a barely audible voice, glaring up at me, fear and terror written in his eyes.

“Am shocked you have the guts to ask that, Jason. Am just from explaining to you what you guys have put me through. I wasn’t always this bitter you know? Once upon a time, I was the naive and jovious Catherine Chilumba who perceived the world as a good place but you people’s cruelty opened my eyes.” I said, playing with the blade in my hands. “And do you know what I find solace in, Jason? Making you lot pay dearly for every tear that I have shed. And you know what? I no longer give a d--n about the company shares. All I want is to see you die a painful death!”

“Cathy,” said Jason pleadingly, “please don’t do this. Let’s talk this out. I love you, Cathy. I truly do. We can surely work things out.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “How old do you think I am? 16? Well you are mistaken cause am turning 26 in a few months so I know perfectly well what am doing.” I snapped. “And did I hear you say you love me? Well, it’s too late to confess your feelings cause they aren’t going to save you from my wrath. And am sorry to say your love is weak cause if it were strong enough, you wouldn’t have left me in that cabin to die!”
“Cathy, what’s done is done. We can’t reverse the past.”

“But we can certainly make our enemies bow before us, can’t we?” I said.

Jason took a deep breath. “I can see reasoning with you is impossible.” he said, tears welling in his eyes. “And you going to kill me anyway. So I suggest you do it fast and relieve me of this pain am going through right now. But just know one thing, you won’t achieve a thing by doing this. Vengeance should be left for God.”

I let out a sarcastic laugh. “Did you just include God in this? Since when did you become so religious? But forget it. What did you say to me in the cabin the other day? Oh yeah, and I quote, ‘babe, people get la!d and dumped daily. You ain’t the first and definitely won’t be the last.’ Well guess what, Jason? People get brutally murdered on a daily basis. You aren’t the first and definitely won’t be the last.”

I took a pause, utilizing it to get on top of Jason again and raising the blade high over my head, giving Jason the impression I was going to stab him.

“Your last words?” I said in mockery.
“I hope you perish in hell, b---h!” said Jason through gritted teeth.

Without giving it a second thought, I briskly cut off Jason’s manhood and he let out an ear piercing scream as he glared at the savoured manhood clutched in my right hand, blood dripping from the base. He sighed and passed out.

I knew he wasn’t dead so when he came to, Jason found himself in an empty bathtub, facing me who was standing right in front of him, his manhood in my hands.

“Tell me am in hell and you are the devil.” was the first thing Jason said when he regained consciousness.

I smiled. “As for being the devil,” I scornfully said, “am proudly him. And hell, you’ll be there shortly. See I knew cutting off your penis wouldn’t do the trick so I had a plan B. Clever of me right? I know.”
“Please just kill me already.” pleaded Jason in a barely audible tone. “I can’t take this no more.”

I smirked, shoving Jason’s manhood in his mouth. “Be careful what you wish for.” I told him, grabbing a container of acid from the floor and unscrewing the lid. I was wearing protective gloves and a lab coat lest the acid comes in contact with my skin.
