After what seemed like an eternity, I went for the surgery. Dr. Paul turned out to be a perfectionist at what he did as when I left the operating room, all the scars on my body were gone except for the one on my face. I had decided to leave this one cause it would serve a special purpose when it came to my revenge. Dr. Paul later handed me the mask that he’d made me. When I wore it, it blended perfectly with my light skin. No one could make out it was just a mask, perfect!
After depositing the money in the doctor’s account, I bought myself a wig that blended well with the mask. I practically had a new face now. After leaving the wig store, I found my way to Good Sheperd Catholic Church which was deserted upon my arrival. I walked the length of all the pews and knelt down right before the altar. Glancing at the statue of Jesus propped against the wall in front of me, I said. “Lord, it is written in the Holy Book to say revenge should be left to God. I apologize in advance for I’ll be defying that law soon. I vow to make all those that made me go through hell on earth pay dearly. Your punishment seems too good a punishment for them. They need to endure the pain I’ve been enduring whilst living. One day, I hope you’ll be able to forgive my sins.”
I did a sign of the cross and left the chapel.
Now here I was, arriving in my home country. It all began here and it was gonna end here.
After leaving the airport under the new identity of Mable Sakala, I booked myself a room at Radison Blu Hotel. The new identity was courtesy of a man I’d come across whilst in S.A, may the Lord bless his soul.
