Monster Unleashed - Season 1 - Episode 5

“That family’s corrupt,” said mum quietly, “am not shocked they won the case.”


I was home, in mum’s bedroom.
“Don’t worry, I’ll win back the land. I promised dad on his deathbed and I promise you too.” I said, patting mum’s hand.
“I know you-”


“Keep on dreaming!” said a voice in the doorway. It was Cynthia. I’d left the door ajar guess that’s why I hadn’t seen her come in.


“Mum,” I said, taking a long deep breath, “I’ve got a migraine, will go to my room and take a nap. Take care.”
“Take care dear.”
“Karma’s a b---h huh?” said Cynthia sarcastically as I brushed her aside.
My head was now pounding and I was in no mood to argue with her so I opted to ignore her and went straight to my room where I threw my sweet seld on the bed and slept.
When I woke up at 5:06 PM, I hurriedly took a shower. When I was done, I applied cream on my body and put on a long sleeveless and bear back red dress that had a long slit on the right that ran from my ankle to my thigh. I brushed my weave and let it fall down my shoulders. I then applied a little make up and perfume. I was putting on my earrings when I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in.” I called.
The door squeaked open and mum walked in, frowning. “May I ask why Jason Banda is downstairs waiting for you?” she asked, arms folded and glaring at me.
I slipped into my heels. “Mum, not now.” I said as I grabbed my purse. “Please.” I kissed her on the cheek and hurriedly walked out of the room. As I climbed down the stairs, I told myself, “If everything goes as planned, in due time, I’ll be able to fulfill the promise I made to dad by retrieving the land. I promise myself this!”
