It’s two weeks already, am now fully okay and booming I was discharged from the hospital a week ago, I was officially dating Cyndi I asked her out that very day I was discharged from the hospital……….The same applicable to my friend Hilary he also asked precious out which the answer was no other thing than yes and they were very happy together, one faithful evening we all were together in our two rooms apartment located at Nkpor near Anglican girls secondary school Onitsha we sat in the sitting room watching one of the high school movies titled ( love does not cost a thing ) Cyndi was sitting on my laps and precious was sitting on the same couch with Hilary crossing her hands around lary’s neck romantically two hour later the movie ended Cyndi turned around facing me with her eyes soaked with tears I was very surprised because the movie wasn’t a tragic one neither was it an horror movie why then is she this way I contemplated within, Hilary and precious were also surprised I sensed that through their expression, Cyndi held my hands…… I wish my parents were alive she said and the tears finally dropped from her eyes, that statement melted my soul I began feeling guilt within myself I met this girl two weeks ago I haven’t asked her anything pertaining to her family background what type of person am I, maybe I was blinded by love ? How, I mean what happened to your parents I managed to ask her with a cracked voice

She heaved a big sigh, the room was very calm as we all listened with a rapt attention, it all started on a Saturday night around 11pm we were all watching a movie in the sitting room, me my dad, my mom and my elder brother we heard a gunshot in our compound we all peeped through the window and saw group of people jumping through the fence meanwhile our gateman was already dead, they broke into our house my mom and dad were shot instantly my elder brother tried to confront them he was also shot, I hide under a table in the dining watching the whole drama, they took everything valuable in our house and left , since then I have nobody to take care of me, my father’s brother rejected me and took all my fathers properties, but luckily for me he didn’t touch the family account because he knew nothing about it, I have been surviving with the money in my family’s account it can sustain me for the rest of my life, as for the cult boys following me around they started disturbing me two months after my family’s death, their capon asked me to be his girlfriend severally but I declined him, he vowed never to let me be, any guy that comes near me he will either kill him or hurt him badly living him unconscious please Tanaboy protect me don’t let them harm me please I beg of you she said with tears

The room atmosphere in the room was now tensed, tears were dropping freely from my eyes, I drew her closer making her head to Lin on my chest, I will protect you my love I said to her with a low but audible tune, I looked at the Innocent girl as she was busy shading tears, I sobbed……
