The killers guild - Season 1 - Episode 62

Tony was sitting in the van, there were six officers in the van, two officers sat beside him, one on each side which left him in the middle.
“Where are we going?” He asked one of them.
“Where else?” The man said staring at Tony as if he was an idiot.

Tony wanted to say something else but his tears were choking him, he had been crying all through the ride. Just then the car came to an abrupt stop.

“Why are we stopping?” One of the officers asked.

“I don’t know, I’ll go take a look.” Says the other.

Tony looked out the window and saw that a car had obstructed the road and three men were standing in front of it, the driver must have stopped on sighting them. It was too dark so Tony couldn’t see their faces..

One of the officers got down and approached them. Tony was shocked as the men pulled out their guns and shot him dead. Then the rest of the officers were alarmed as they got out of the van armed with their guns only to be met with the same fate. The men were expert shooters and they made absolutely no mistake while taking their shots. Tony stared in horror as the officers lay dead on the road. His anguish was now replaced with fear as the men were now approaching the van.

The man in the middle, who appears to be the leader of the trio came into the van and the moment he saw Tony he smiled. It took a few seconds before Tony could recognise him but when he did he said.

“Uncle!”
“Son!” The man exclaimed giving Tony a tight hug.

Tony couldn’t recognise him at first cause it has been over a decade and he has changed a lot.

Freddie Jefferson, a man in his mid 50s, he was a tall and gallant man with broad shoulders and his face was covered with beards. His eyes were as black as coal. He had been arrested years ago when Tony was still a kid, he later escaped from prison two years later and no one has seen or heard of him since then, Tony had came to the conclusion that he was dead but alas he’s the same man standing in front of him right now.
“Uncle, what are you doing here? What’s going on?” Tony asks. Tony remembered he used to share a very deep bond with his uncle.
“No time for me to explain son, let’s go.” Fred said taking Tony’s handcuffs off with a key.

(20 minutes later)

Tony was sitting in the front seat with his uncle who was driving the car through a desert. The two guys sat in the back neither one of them had muttered a word all through the ride. Tony had his head against the car’s window. He was sulking, as his mind was filled with the taught of Isabella and his child, the horrific image in which he met her lying dead kept reoccurring in his mind, each time it did he wept in silence.
“Are you okay boy?” Fred asked.
“Where have you been all this years and how did you find me?” Tony asked.
“I’ve been keeping a very low profile kid, I came back a week ago after so many years to meet you but I didn’t have the courage to approach you not after so many years. So i stayed here in this city and I was watching you.”
“Let me get this straight, you came back just so you can meet me, but you’ve been here for a whole week without meeting anyone and you were watching me? What for?” Tony asks.
“Cause I felt something like this was going to happen. Listen Tony, their are those who are after our family, those people are the same set of people who killed my wife, caused your father’s death and sent me to prison. I came here the second I heard you got married, I knew you’ll soon be their next target.”
“Are you trying to say that my father was murdered?”

“Exactly.” Fred says.
“No, this is too much for me to handle, but even then what was the need to kill those officers? They were just doing their jobs.”
“Those guys work for the enemy. Killing them was the only way to save you. Tony, you are the last hope of our family and I’ll do anything to protect you.”

“Who are they?” Tony asked his blood boiling with anger.

“I don’t know for sure, but we are going to find out very soon.”
“Where are we going?” Tony asked wondering why they were driving through the desert.

“I’m taking you to a place where you’ll be save, a place far from the reach of the enemy or the cops.” His uncle says as he speeds up the car.

They drove for a couple more minutes and Fred stops the car in front of what appears to be a thick forest. Fred and his boys came down and Tony followed suit.

“This guys, who are they?” Tony asks his uncle.

“You mean this two?” His uncle asks, Tony nodded in affirmative, “The short one is Jeremy, the one with the big head is called Carl. They work for me.” He says.

“What are we doing here? Theirs nothing but trees here.” Tony says.

His uncle smiled and walked to a particular tree.
“That’s what it looks like but it’s actually an entrance.” Ben says as he pulled one of the tree branches down like a lever and the trees opened up like an elevators door would. Tony opened his mouth wide in amazement.

“Come on.” His uncle says walking through the entrance with his boys.

“I…i..um still have a lot of questions.” Tony says as he follows his uncle.

“And all shall be answered.” Fred says as the entrance closed.

Tony could feel a slight movement where he stood as if they were being transported somewhere else. Then the entrance opened up again and this time they were standing in front of a large rock.

“Ever heard of the city of sins?” Fred says.
“No but, I used to have this dreams where I was being chased by a huge storm and you came to save me, then you took me to a place that looks like paradise.” Tony says as they approached the huge rock.

“This city is many things but it’s nothing like paradise.” Fred says. “Brace yourself kid as you are about to be wowed.” He continued. Now standing close to the rock he said. “Gold” And the rock opened up like magic.

Tony looks upfront in amazement and sees a city right in front of him, there were people walking around, some had horses, Tony saw a few cars, and the houses looked ancient, bright lights shone from some houses but the rest were pitch dark. The city goes as far as Tony’s eyes could reach.

“Tony, Welcome to Sin City.”
“It’s a whole new world!” Tony exclaimed.
