The killers guild - Season 1 - Episode 61

Tony was sitting in his office. His mind was preoccupied and he couldn’t focus on work. He was going to be a father. Work has never been so unprepossessing to Tony before, all he wanted to do was to get himself home to his pregnant wife.

Tony placed a call to his wife.
“This is the sixth time you’ll be calling me today Mr. Jefferson. Do you miss me so badly?” Isabella says with a laughing tone.

“I’m missing you every seconds dear, wish I could just get the hell outta here and come to you but I can’t cause they need me here. Now let me know if there’s anything you want, anything at all.” Tony said.

“Anything? Okay let me think, hmm… I can’t think of anything right now. I’ll let you know when I think of something.”

“Now I want you to have some food and just go straight to bed. Doctor’s orders.”
“Oh, so now you are a doctor?”
“Just do as I say, woman.” Tony says, faking a stern voice.

“Aye, Aye, sir.” Isabella says ending the conversation.

Tony smiled and got back to work.

Finally, evening came and it was time for me to leave. I’ve been trying to get Isabella on the phone but she wasn’t picking up, perhaps she had grown tired of my persistent phone calls. but I’m not to be blamed either I was just overjoyed.


I stopped by a toy store on my way home and bought all the toys that I could carry in the trunk. I bought a couple of jewelleries for Isabella as well.

It was a bit late in the evening when I got home, I was all smiles as I drove into my compound. I rushed out of the car and raced excitedly to the door screaming Isabella’s name, but I stopped abruptly in my steps as I noticed all wasn’t well. The door was wide open and the lights were off in the living room. I walked in slowly and cautiously.


“Bella, Bella, Bella!” I said while trying to locate the switch.

I found the switch and turned the lights on, and to my shock and amazement, I saw Isabella lying on the couch, bleeding from the wounds on her chest and stomach.

“Isabella!” I exclaimed with a heavy heart. I rushed over to her with tears in my eyes and just then I saw a gun lying on the floor, the culprit must have dropped it. I held Isabella in my arms as I picked it up. That was when I realised that her wounds were actually bullet wounds. ‘Who did this?” I wondered. There was no sign of breathing from her so I decided to check for her pulse, still screaming her name, hoping just hoping she would come back to me, just then some guys barged in.

Tony still had the gun in his hand when the troops came in, they were all harmed with guns and the lights from there torches nearly blinded him.
“Drop the gun and raise your hands up, you are under arrest.” One of the men who Tony now believed to be cops says.

“No, you don’t understand she’s my wife, I met her like this. I don’t know what is going on, I just….” Tony was saying when he received a bash to the back of his head. It appears one of the cops had struck him with a baton.

Tony squinted in pain as he touched the back of his head. His hand felt something wet and sticky and he knew he was bleeding.

Then another man came forward and cuffed him in his wrist cage behind his back. One of the men walked up to Isabella’s body and examined her.
“She’s dead!” He said.


“No, no, no, she’s not dead. She can’t be. No please God no.” Tony was saying with tears flowing freely down his eyes.


“What is your name?” A man asks as he walks up to Tony. The man was of average height and had broad shoulders.

“Anthony Jefferson, sir.” Tony says.
“And who is she?” The man asked, pointing at Isabella.


“She’s my wife.” Tony says.
“Well, in that case Mr. Jefferson you are under arrest for the murder of your wife. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Take him away.” The man said.


“No, no, please she’s my wife. I’ll never harm her. Tell me she’s still alive. She can’t be dead.” Tony pleaded as he was led to a waiting van.
