He pushed her aside and went to sit on his chair.
“I am sorry about what happened with your husband. Take heart.”

She wiped the tears and sat down on the chair.
“If you will excuse me I am very busy. What can I do for you Bianca? We haven’t been talking for like what months. What do you want?”
“I I I I j..,” she couldn’t utter a word.
Looking for a shoulder to lean on but he was cold, cold like the ice. What did she expect from him? To be happy that Daniel is dead and he can get back together with her. He loved Adela more than anything. Pain lanced through her as she thought of the day he came back from England. Did she really think he was going to hold her tighly in his arms?

“I think you should get going now. Your in laws are waiting for you.”
She took a deep breath and looked directly into his eyes. Silence hung between them and a tension so taut she thought it was going to snap with a crack at any moment.

“I thought we could hang out,” she said softly.
Shocked rocked through Stevie as he listened to her ridiculous invitation. It was the last thing he had expected to hear.

“Why exactly, would I wish to go out? And to you, of all women?”

His voice was hard, his accent suddenly more pronounced. He sounded dangerous. Briefly Stevie saw pain flash across her face.
“Just go out as friends.”
Her words spoken with conviction, dragged his attention back to her face.
“You must be joking. What happened to your pregnancy?”
“I had a miscarriage. I lost the baby,” she dropped a tear.

His mind raced. Was she telling the truth?
“I missed you,” She grabbed at the first thing that came to mind.
He laughed.

“Get out of my office Bianca. Don’t ever come back. Don’t even think about calling me or text. I want nothing to do with you. You chose to be with Daniel. Now that he is dead you want to act all holy. I know people like you. Seeking for attention. I am not buying it. I am too busy to go out with you. I won’t have the time. Get your sorry a-s out of my office. Don’t ever come again,” he said with a serious look on his face.

She looked at him. He looked different. Not the sweet Stevie she fell in love with. Was it because of what she did to him? He was cold and rude. She got up in silent and walked out of the office. Stevie shook his head when she closed the door. He grabbed his phone on the table and dialled her number.

ADELA : Babe.
HIM: I miss you so, here around me, so many people, but yet so alone. I miss your lips, your lovely smile, I miss you each day more and more.
ADELA: I miss you too my love. I was just packing my stuff. Remember I am starting school tomorrow. When are you coming back? We have to go shopping.

HIM : Do you want me to come?
ADELA: Yes, babe. I miss you so much. Auntie Gloria has gone out.
HIM. I miss you too. If I would get a rose for every time I think of you, I would spend every day in a rose garden..thinking of you. If your heart was a prison, I would like to be sentenced for life.
ADELA: liar! You so funny ( she said laughingly.
HIM: I am being for real my lady. I would do anything for you. Even climb the Kilimajaro mountain. I could kill for you. You know the world is so more beautiful with you around. I get goosebumps all over my body when you give that smile of yours like the Nicki Minaj smile.

ADELA : OH please. Mr Stevenson stop lying.
HIM: In the morning I do not eat because I think of you, at noon I do not eat because I think of you, in the everning I do not eat because I think of you, at night I do not sleep because I am hungry. My special lady. You the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you so much. I have to go now. I will talk to you later.
ADELA: Okay, bye.

He hanged up. Their love was unbreakable. There were inseparable. Stevie loved Adela. It’s like his world revolved around her. She was the only person he could think about. Never imagined his life without her. The same goes with Adela. Growing up with a single parent. She learnt to love from Stevie. She loved him with all her heart. No one could try to change what she felt about him. Yes, she knew many people were after their love but she didn’t careless.

THREE YEARS passed and it was Adela’s final year at University. Their love grew stronger each and everyday with Stevie. Yes, Miley was still in the picture. But same old story, Stevie’s mum didn’t love Adela. She still got along with Miley. Adela was supposed to meet Stevie at the restaurant when someone knocked on her door. She had moved out and found an apartment to rent which was close to the school. Anyway she opened the door and BOOM face to face with her.
“Can I help you?” asked Adela smilingly.
“Yes, I am looking for Adela.”
“I am Adela.”
“I am so glad to finally meet you. I am Stephanie,” she lied just moved in around the corner. “This house looks beautiful. Can I have a glass of water?” she sat on the sofa.
