Unbreakable Love - Season 1 - Episode 20

*Death is often so abstract for those who had never experienced it*

The worst thing imaginable had happened.
“What is it Stevie? What happened?” asked Adela when Stevie sat on the floor tears in his eyes.

“I thought maybe one day we will be friends again. He might have betrayed me but I always saw him as my brother. I am so confused right now. I am so hurt If only I knew I would have made amends with him. I had already forgiven him for what he did to me. Nothing is harder. I mean there is nothing compared to being told that your loved one is dead. He was my brother.”

“I am lost. What are you talking about?”
“Daniel is dead. My dad just told me. I don’t even know if I should go to the funeral or not. Life is too short. I have so many fond memories of him. This is very hard,” he wiped away the tears. “I don’t even know why I am crying if we were not get along.”
“Because you still loved him,” she patted his back. “I think you should attend the funeral. It won’t be a big deal. Will it be?”
“I don’t want to cause a drama which I did on his wedding. I don’t think I should go. His parents they won’t be pleased to see me at their son’s funeral.”
“I am sorry babe.”
He looked at her.
“I love you Adela. I don’t know what I am going to do if I lose you. I don’t know if I am going to be able to live without you. When God gave you to me, he planted the image of you deep in my heart. The most important things in my world are to get food, drink and to love you,” he kissed her on the cheek.
“I love you too babe. When a door of happiness closes. Another opens. But so often times we look so long at the closed door.that we do not see the 1 which has been opening at us,” she smiled. “I know you hurt right now with the news you have just received. I am here for you. I believe fate has brought us together, to meet, to know and to part is the saddest thing in life.. I love you.”

He silenced her with a long, lingering kiss that drew every ounce of reservation from her body, replacing it with unadulterated need. A small sound of pleasure escaped her lips as he broke the kiss, only to be smothered as his lips claimed hers in another greedy kiss that rocked her to the core. Stevieshook with need as he deepened the kiss. Never before had he felt as if he was on the edge of control with a woman. She broke the kiss.
“I should go and see Auntie Gloria,” she pulled away from him
“Come on, not again. I will take a bath I have to go and see my dad.”
“Okay, bye.”

He watched her with a big smile on his face as she strode to the door. She closed the door. He got out later, headed to the bathroom. He finished bathing, took his car keys and had drove out of the compound when he saw Miley outside his gate. He parked his car and got out.
“Where the hell do you think you are going?” he asked loudly walking towards her.
“Stevie!” she exclaimed meeting him halfway. “I am so glad I found you.”
She was about to hug him when he pushed her aside.
“What do you want Miley?”
“I am here to see you. You haven’t been answering my calls. I missed you so much, babe. Can’t you see I am hurting.”
“Don’t you get it. I don’t love you. The only woman for me is Adela. Let it be the last time you come to my house uninvited,” he warned.
“Oh please! That s--t, your mother doesn’t even love her. She loves me and I am going to fight for you. I will see you soon my babe. I can see you going out but I will be back. Ciao.”
She walked back to her and got inside. She drove off sounding the car hooter. Stevie clenched his fist and continued with his journey. He had a lot to think about. He didn’t want to disappoint Adela or hurt her. He needed to do something to get rid of Miley. He met his father at the bar since he didn’t want to see his mother.
“What happened to Daniel?” he asked taking a seat.

“Car accident. It’s so sad. I am just coming from the funeral. Are you going to attend?”
He faced down.

“You don’t have to go if you don’t feel like it. Since you were not in good books.”

“I feel guilty, I am hurt. He was like a brother to me. I never wanted him to die but for us to get along once again.”
“It’s okay son. How is my daughter-in law?”
“She is good. I love that woman dad. I wish mum could do so, try to get along with her.”
“She will!”
The two gentlemen talked.

The next following day, Stevie attended the funeral but didn’t want Daniel’s parents and Bianca to see him. He was la!d to rest and many people attended the funeral. Days passed and Stevie still couldn’t believe that Daniel had died. It was late afternoon when he walked out of the restaurant after having lunch with his business partners. He drove to his office.

“Sir! There is a woman in your office who came to see you,” said the secretary.
“Hmmm. Okay.”

He headed to his office. He opened the door and BOOM! their eyes met.
“Bianca!” he exclaimed.

She rose from the chair and ran into his arms.
“Stevie, he is dead. My husband is dead,” she said in between sobs. “I am all alone.”
