Unbreakable Love - Season 1 - Episode 16

*War can’t kill love, love can kill war*

Adela kept pacing up and down in the house. The last thing she wanted was to get on the wrong side with Angela because, she could make things difficult for her.

“Where is your mother?” she asked Stevie who just closed the door after making sure that her mother had left the compound.

“They are gone. You don’t need to worry. I am sorry for the way she treated you. I don’t know what she was doing here with Miley. I made it clear to her that I don’t want to see Miley ever again,” he rose his voice.
“I think you should be the one calming down. I fully understand that your mother does not like me and she never will. I don’t want you to fight or disrespect her all because of me,” she spoke sounding worried. “Can you take me home please?”

“I thought you were spending the night with me. Are you mad at me?”
“No! I just want to be alone. Drive me home please.”
“But Ad..”
“Please!” she cut him short.
He grabbed his car keys and walked out of the house with her. She didn’t wait for him to open the car door but did it herself. Fighting? They had never fought before but it seems things were not going on all between them. It was as if though Adela was about to give up on Stevie. The drive to her house was silent. Stevie tried making some few jokes but Adela was not interested. She didn’t even laugh but kept her eyes focused on the road. Stevie kept glancing at her. It hurt him seeing her in pain, not smiling or laughing. Finally they arrived at her house and she got out of the car. He quickly closed the door and ran towards her, pulling her closer to him.

“Are you planning to give up on me because of my mother?” He asked with pain in his eyes. “Cause we made it this far on for better or worse. I want to feel it even if it hurts if I gotta cry to get to the other side as long as you there I will survive. Love is like war Adela, easy to start, difficult to finish and impossible to forget. I will never give up on you. Do you trust me?”
She nodded,

“Yes!” tears streaming down on her cheeks.
“Then never doubt the love or feelings I have for you. Cheer up. I don’t like seeing you sad.”
“I won’t be rebelled against entering a prison with hateful memories. Marrying a woman I would never love. I will only marry a woman that my heart beats for and that woman is you Adela. I love you.”
He kissed her on the forehead.
“I love you too.”
“You better get inside now. I am driving back to my house. Guess I will see you tomorrow. Take care of yourself,” he said and walked towards where he parked his car.
He got inside and drove off. He loved her and was willing to sacrifice his life for her.
Early in the morning a knock sounded on the door and Stevie responded thinking it was Adela.
“Come in!”
“Stevie?” Miley stood in the door way.
Stevie stared at Miley and felt a pressure build in his chest. Everything inside him felt so tight and aching he could barely force the words out.
“What the hell are you doing here?”
Quietly Miley closed the door.
“Get out of my house Miley!” he shouted pointing at the door. “Now!”
“I am not going anywhere,” she sat on the sofa.

Stevie stared at Miley, felt a hot rush of anger sweep over him.
“Why are you treating me this way? I love you Stevie. I can’t stop thinking about you.”
“Oh please. Do you want to know whom you love? Yourself.”
“Please don’t say that. I am trying my best here. I know I made your life a living hell at high school and I am sorry but now I have changed. I want us to be together and get married. Have kids,” she got close to him.

She looked at the window and saw Adela. She got too closer to Stevie and kissed him. While Adela opened the door, she dropped the things she had been carrying on the floor. Stevie pushed Miley and she fell on the floor.
“Adela!” he walked out running after her.
Adela kept running tears falling down from her eyes. She was confused and angry at the same time. She was running through a crosswalk when a car turned left into her. She screamed as the car knocked her down and t----t her on the pavement. She fell on the ground knocking her head really hard. The driver stopped short and leaped out of the vehicle.

Stevie’s heart was beating so hard. He felt as if it was going to jump right out of him. He sat on the ground holding Adela.

“Adela! Wake up!” he shouted but there was no response.

“I am very sorry sir,” apologised the driver.
“Adela, my love. I am sorry. Please wake up.”
She was bleeding and even people tried to get Stevie off her but he didn’t want.

“We have to take her to the hospital. There is still a pulse,” said one of them who was a nurse after checking Adela.

Two of the men had to hold Stevie and Adela was taken in another car. They drove with her to the hospital. Stevie kept calling out Adela’s name. If asked what had happened by the doctors at the hospital. His response was,
“Adela!”

It was as if though he had lost his mind after watching her being hit by the car
