The air was very clear and the long morning shadows distinct.

“Wakie! Wakie!” He opened the curtains opening way for the sun’s rays to come flooding into the room.

“Good morning, my lady!” She was greeted with a cup of coffee and two slices of bread with fried eggs.

It was the most perfect morning she ever had.
“Breakfast in bed,” she said smilingly.
“Yes, my lady. I want to spoil you today.”
“But what did I do to deserve all of this?”
“You loved me and gave me your heart. I realised I was thinking of you, and I began to wonder how long you had been on my mind. Then it occurred to me since I met you, you have never left,” he smiled. “Like my grandfather always said it, ‘Never be ashamed of how much you love, or how quickly you fall, love fully, love completely, but most importantly love naturally and don’t you ever apologise for it. Don’t ever be sorry for loving the way your heart knows,” he kissed her on the cheek. “Have I ever told you how much I love you?”
She laughed loudly.

“Yes, you did. More than your mother.”
“I lied. I love you more than myself. More than anything in this world even the world itself. You laughing,” he tickled her. “Have some breakfast. The day is ours I am taking you out today.”
“What about work?”

“I am not going to work today and so are you. I would be very happy if that woman fires you.”
“Stevie!” She pinched him.
“What?! It’s not like you love working for her. Anyway enough of my evil mother. Eat your breakfast, Stevie is all yours today.”
He left her to have his breakfast. He went to take a bath. He looked up at the clock on the wall. Eleven-thirty. Almost time to take his lady out. As he fixed his cufflinks he looked in the mirror.

A knock at the door drew his attention and he strode over to open it, knowing he was to be given the message that she was ready. She was waiting for him on the passage. Adela looked amazing. White lace dress encased her slender figure, but the slit in the floor-lenght dress drew his eye to her leg as she moved towards him. Her dark natural hair had been pulled back. The bodice of her dress clung to her b-----s lovingly and on the single strap diamonds sparkled.
“Stop staring at me.”
Her chin lifted defiantly and her voice was as sharp as a razor, but her eyes still blazed with the same desire he had seen in them last night.
“You look stunning,” he said firmly, admiring the confidence that radiated from her.
“You look very handsome too, she said, a small blush creeping across her cheeks, her words softer.
“That dress suits you very well”
Her beautiful dark eyes widened slightly and she drew in a sharp breath. She looked at him for a moment. He took her hand and led her from the passage, down the step towards the loudge. He glanced at her as they were outside. His hand was warm as it held hers and she risked a quick look at him. He looked as if he had stepped from her long-ago abandoned dream of a happy ever after . He opened the car door for her and they drove off. It was a party with so many people. He introduced Adela as his girlfriend to some of his business partners. Later on they went back home. It was around 7pm when they got inside the house. They sat on the sofa watching a movie.
“I love you Adela,” he spoke softly next to her ear.
She smiled brightly at him maybe a little too brightly. She looked slowly at him and he smiled back. A smile that reached into the dark depths of his eyes, melting her from inside and out. They were about to kiss when a knock interupted the moment. He quickly got up and strode to the door. He opened the door and BOOM!. His mother stood with Miley.
“What are you two doing here?” he asked with a serious look on his face.
“Just let me in sonny,” she got in by force bumping into him on the process. “Adela!” she exclaimed.
Adela quickly got up. Her heart pounding really fast and She was shaking like a lefe. She didn’t expect to see but there she was standing in front of her.
“Madam,” she muttered under her breath.
“What are you doing here?!” she shouted getting close to her. “You came here to s£duce my son. How dare you d..,” she was about to slap Adela when Stevie caught her hand.
“You wouldn’t dare try that mother. Adela did nothing wrong. I am the one who invited her to my house. She is part of my life now. She is my girlfriend,” he said with confidence in his voice
“What?! Girlfriend,” she laughed mockingly. “Is this some kind of a jok,”
“I am not joking mother. I am planning to marry her very soon.”
“What?! I will never let you marry this s--t.”
“Watch your mouth mother! You know what. Get out of my house and you Miley. Miley I don’t want to ever see you again in my life. I don’t know what game you playing with my mother. Trying to get me to love you. I would rather die loving Adela than actually giving my heart to you. Out of my house now,” he shouted and they walked out in silent
