Unbreakable Love - Season 1 - Episode 8

*The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have*

When a relationship is over, feelings of rejection can numb your sense of self and wreck your balance. For may jilted lovers, the first impulse is to try to fix what’s broken or recover what was lost. But often, the beloved has moved on and reconciliation is not possible. And still you persist. How can you ever move on? Breakups, they happen to everyone. They come in all shapes and sizes, some are swift and painless, others knock you round in ways you can’t quite explain. After all it is love right?
“Sir, wake up!”
“Morning please wait. The dawn is still dozing and so am I. It is still much too early to sit up but later I will try. Morning please wait before you open your light. It will take just a a little more, for me to finish enjoying the night,” he replied.
She laughed.
“Cast off your worries and troubles of yesterday. Promise yourself silently to make today a better day. Now my friend, a brand new day lays before you, turn to it with excitement. It is a gift and is fully new. May all your goals and wants for the day and a night without regret. Good morning my friend,” She pinched him.
“I thought I was the best poetician in the world but you beat me there. I am impressed, very much impressed. What is up for the day Adela, the maid. It’s Saturday today,” he said getting up.

“Well I usually go to the church. To help clean it.”
“That is so boring.”
“Nothing is boring when you in the house of the Lord. We should go to church together tomorrow.”

“I am not a church person. I have to go home today. I need to face my parents. Thank you for taking care of me,” he smiled at her.

He had been staying with her for a week. She used to sleep at her grandmother’s house and only came in the morning to check for him. Stevie stopped taking alcohol and always talked to Adela.

Adela lost her mother when she was 15 years old. At the age of 22 she had already found herself a house to rent since she was working as a maid at Stevie’s house. Her only wish was to go back to school and continue with her studies. She was a very intelligent young lady and was also into poetry.

“That will be good. Your mother will be very happy to see you. Let me go and prepare you something to eat.”
“Adela!” he called out.
“Yes,” she responded
“Thank you very much for taking care of me. If it wasn’t for you I will be dead by now. You showed me the light and made me stronger. I was broken. I had suicidal thoughts at that time. But today Here I am with my two feet ready to start another brand new day. I don’t know what would have happened if you didn’t save my life. God bless you Adela. You one in a million.”

He spoke with a voice so soft and calmy. He walked to her and gave her a tight hug.
“You are welcome but you squeezing me,” She laughed a nervous laugh that made him smile even more, which in turn sent her heart thumping erratically. “It was also nice having you around sir. I hope in the near future you will not start drinking. It does not suit you.”
“What suits me?”

His breath was warm on her face and she resisted the need to close her eyes, wanting to see his.

“We should get going. I am starting work on Monday.”
“What about my breakfast?”
“Go eat at your house.” She was so vibrant, so beautiful.

As he faced her he saw shyness spread over her face. He laughed.
“What are you laughing at?”
“I just remembered the day you barged in my room and saw my thing. You couldn’t even open the door. And when I winked you lost balance and fell. I was like this kid is verry funny. You made my day that day.”

She faced down and burst out laughing.
“I am sorry about that. It was my first day at work. I wasn’t familiar with the place. I thought you were going to shout at me or tell your mother. I really was scared I even thought of running away and never come back.”
“Come on! I am not like that. We are friends now and so you will get to know me better. I forgive you for doing that. You should do that more oftenly, barge in without knocking first,” He laughed.

“You crazy! We should get going now,” she grabbed the keys.

She opened the door and they walked out. She locked it and they headed to the taxi rank. He managed to get a taxi at his house.
“Guess I will see you on Monday,” he said.
“Yes, go well.”

He waved his hand to say goodbye and driver drove off. In few minutes he was already stepping out of the vehicle. He got inside the gate and walked to the door. He opened the door and his mother shouted in joy .

“Where have you been? I was worried about you,” she said after breaking the hug.
“I needed some air. I mean fresh air. Away from you and dad.”
“Don’t ever do that again. You look so happy. What happened to you?”

“Too many questions mum. I am just happy to see youJust know that I am back for good. I need to take a bath and go shopping. A position of a manager awaits me on Monday. Later mum,” he said heading to his rooom.
