[An Hour Later]
Laying down in the middle of scattered warehouse bodies and inhaling the scents of blood forever was Tobias initial plan, but he has too many shit to take care of outside.
So, he only spent an hour inhaling, after which he stepped out of the warehouse, carrying the metal box which now has Mayhem locked inside carefully again.
With his second hand, he dragged the moneybag on the ground.
The night felt new. The air felt good,, and he understands the cause. Air would never feel good if he doesn’t see blood, and the night feels pretty whenever he uses Mayhem.
It’s been a long while.
In seminary, all he did was sit in the midst of the hungry-looking men all day and night, listening to scripture verses and doctrines.
Doctrines which he doesn’t know why they exist by the way.
The human chest is too deeply corroded by sins to be redeemed by few lines from a book.
He believes in the wickedness of Odium. He believes in his own cruelty. He believes in the blood oath, that’s what makes him stay alive after surviving too many life threats.
Not like he couldn’t kill when he was in seminary, but Uncle Will sent him anyways, and he had to make him think the seminary was really reshaping him, so he stayed low-key.
Now that he’s out, Mayhem has resumed destruction.
The ruin and carnage begins.
As he stood in front of the warehouse, staring at the night and relishing on the taste of his after-kill, his sharp eyes caught one of the black butterflies. Seems like it’s the only remaining one flying around.
His eyes followed it’s flight till the butterfly stopped at the uncompleted building facing the warehouse.
On top of the building, stood four tall mysterious shadows. Their faces have been shawled by the cloak of darkness, but even darkness can’t cover odiousness.
They’re his people.
His race.
Immediately Tobias saw them, they jumped down the building and rolled back into consuming darkness.
Tobias brought his palm to his face, wiping the blood on his jaw while proceeding to his car.
He dropped the gun and moneybag in his backseat before settling on the driver’s seat.
His phone received a immediate buzz which made him pull the device out of the safe.
It’s exactly the text he expected.
• Welcome back to bloodiness, Wrath. Witnessing your first kills after five years was entertaining as f+k. We’ll be expecting more.
This time, Tobias typed back.
Tobias: I was supposed to take ten lives, but you took two out of the ten. You shared the fun with me, and that won’t go unpunished.
He received an instant reply.
• We know how much you love having your fun alone, and we’ll surely be waiting for your brutal punishment. By the way, your second carved body and black roses is waiting for you at your Church gate.
Tobias wasn’t gonna reply that, so he made to drop the phone, but another buzz hit the device which didn’t sound like it came from Odium.
So, he checked.
Immediately he saw it, he relaxed soundlessly on his seat, reading…
• What do you mean by the note you left on the hotel bed?
He read it again.
Again.
The sender is obvious.
She didn’t text him with the burner phone he gave her. She used her own personal phone, so it’s a new number.
But who else would accuse him of dropping a note on a hotel bed? Of course it’s Pathetic Stupid Dog.
He didn’t reply.
He dropped the phone and grabbed the steering wheel, driving off.
