[Redd Estate – Dinnertime]

Usually, dinner comes late in this home. It’s either past 8 or 9pm since every member of the house comes late from work always.

But it’s Sunday—a resting day, so everyone is home.

Even Dora who’s mostly clubbing on Sundays is at home, and that’s because she already checked the bug she planted on Saint’s phone.

Yeah, she bugged his phone with the help of a secret source, so she knows his location at all times.

Currently, Saint is at his family Memorial Estates since there’s no race at the road tonight.

So there’s no reason for her to go clubbing. It’d be boring without his unhinged face to look at.

She sat in her queen-size bed, scrolling through his IG. Her eyes brightened when she saw he just uploaded two pictures.

First picture is the picture of a dead body with CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PRIESTLY ORDINATION, TOBIAS ST. GRAVES, carved on it’s back flesh, and second picture is of Saint’s two fingers stuck up with black bloodstains on them.

His caption: New body arrivals at my family bloody business. More people need to die. We treat corpses well.

“F+ck, My muse is so unhinged. No wonder they say he’s more ruthless than Dean.” Dora smiled, saving the picture of his bloody finger.

She used it as her wallpaper.

“But if Saint isn’t as unhinged as Tobias, then how insanely unhinged would that Tobias be? I can only imagine…” She laughed. “And he’s a Priest? He’s gonna be so interesting.”

“Dinnertime, Miss!” A maid announced by the door.

Dora rolled her eyes, not bothering to put on anything over her brand panty and bra. She loves walking around in those two.

She left the room and she rode the elevator to the penthouse where she met everyone else already.

“Wear something! My husband is here!” Kimmy sneered.

“It ain’t my first rodeo, Kim. Chill and rest your shaking p$ssy. No one’s taking your husband. Ain’t ever dating a black nigga. I’m never gonna fantasize over black dick like you.” Dora replied nonchalantly, sitting.

Genevieve and Marley didn’t complain. They never complain especially Genevieve.

Acosta is by the other side of the busy table, drinking juice with Peach.

“You have no idea how people are going crazy over the search of Valhalla club members.” Marley let out a powerful grin, holding the glass of his wine by the neck.

Tonight, he wore glasses. Not like he’s a lover of it, but he loves to variate.

“I love seeing people go crazy over what they can’t achieve.” Genevieve cackled, lips slanting.

Her hot red lipstick gave her the look of a period villain.

“Aren’t you both just club members though?” Dora pointed. “You don’t even know who the leader of your club is. Doesn’t he speak to y’all through a curtain?”

“But they’re still members of the club, crackhead, that’s what matters,” Kimmy shrugged. “The most sought-after club in this country? Please, let them hype themselves.”

“How many people are in the club though?” Dora asked, twisting a piece of her hair on her pointer.

“Ffteen, plus our unknown leader.” Genevieve answered.

“And is it true that whoever gets to know any of y’all members, that the person will be connected to unending wealth?” Kimmy asked curiously.

“Of course it is,” Marley nodded. “If they’re ready to pay the price.”

“And what are the requirements to enter the club?” Dora asked.

“Anytime you get inquisitive like this, you’re up to something sick.” Kimmy said suspiciously.

“When am I never up to something?” Dora hunched her shoulders.

“To join the club, you have to have committed the seven sins. The leader is always watching everyone in the city, and when you’re the type who’d do just anything to get what you want, and you’ll automatically receive an invite.” Marley said.

“I like the sound of that!” Dora banged the table loudly, laughing.

“Can all this Valhalla talk end already? Kimmy hissed. “I’m starving. Since Talentless Frump left this house, my appetite widened.”

“I believe it’s same for everyone,” Marley raised a toast.

“And the icing on top? Dean hates her like shit, but our contract with Dean? It’s already earning.” Dora raised her glass too, chuckling.

Everyone lifted their glasses to clink in celebration of that.

Everyone except Acosta.

Kimmy came to his side, raising Peach’s chin.

“See how everyone is celebrating Seraphina’s absence? If you don’t want that to be your case too in the future, then you must fight to secure your place among your peers in school. Show them you’re not their mate. Do anything at all to get what you want. Don’t forget, you’re my daughter. You’re that girl.”

Peach looked at Acosta, expecting him to go against it, but Acosta couldn’t. Genevieve and Marley are here, they’d chew him out if he does, so he’s quiet.

Peach looked back at Kimmy.

“Yes, mummy. I get you.”

Kimmy smiled, kissing her hair.

“I sent funds to your parents culinary, Acosta.” Marley suddenly announced.

“My dad called to tell me about it, and I planned to thank you after dinner.” Acosta quickly stood.

“You can thank me by washing my G-wagon later.” Marley grunted, forking his tender chicken.

Acosta’s hand tightened on his fork, but he smiled forcibly.

“I surely will.”

“Can’t he do something else to thank you? Like driving you tomorrow?” Kimmy asked. “I get that we own him, but he’s still my husband, daddy.”

Marley didn’t respond. He began eating with Genevieve and Dora like he didn’t hear Kimmy.

Peach slowly began eating too.

Kimmy looked at Acosta. He’s already eating like the rest.

She faced her meal too.

“There’ll be a charity dinner in a week from now. Hosted by this family.” Genevieve announced, sliding her pasta fork down.

“F+ck, we host charity dinners almost every week. It’s like we feed everyone in this city.” Dora complained.

“We have to keep making people think we’re the kindest family in the city. Also, another huge contract is on it’s way, and we need to connect with someone through the damn dinner.” Kimmy explained.

A dirty idea crept into Dora’s mind, and a dirty smile crowned her lips as she curled her pasta on her plate.

[St. Graves Memorial Estates]

At 8pm, the workers were still expecting Uncle Will’s arrival.

No body was scheduled to arrive today, but one hideous body with carved note at the back arrived.

Coincidentally, Saint was at the Estate when the body arrived.

He came to have fun with the dead bodies here. His idea of fun is so twisted like that.

But the moment he saw the body from the Church, he had to take a picture of the note on the back and post it for his aesthetic.

He loves dead bodies just the way Tobias loves ruins and violence.

“This is probably from Tobias cult Odium.” He said cryptically after he posted the pictures.

Tino is beside him, looking spooked.

He agreed to come with him since tonight was race-free, but now he’s regretting that move.

He shouldn’t have come.

The frozen embalmed bodies look like they’re calling on to him.

They lay inside glass cubes, yet to be buried.

Tino couldn’t even look, but Saint is taking selfies with them?

The f+ck?

This family is really the weirdest most dangerous one on this city.

“Odium cult?” He repeated what Saint just said.

Saint faced him.

“Yeah. They carve notes into flesh of people. Toby did it lots of times in Hollow University. In fact, Tobias started the trend before his other cult members started doing it too.”

“Damnit,” Tino gulped. “I don’t think I wanna meet your Toby again. You already creep me out sometimes. I might just pass out if I meet him.”

“Pass out?” Saint scoffed. “That’s below him, don’t ever in your life say that shit again. You’re gonna die.”

“Change topic, SS.” Tino inhaled.

“What do you wanna talk about? Bexley?” Saint hummed.

“The girl you’re stalking? And you’re still stalking her. Anything else?” Tino rolled his eyes.

“There’s a private Charity dinner in a week’s time, and she’ll be there as one of the wine tenders cos her older sister is in charge of the dinner as the planner.” Saint said.

“Let me guess, you’ll be there as a guest?” Tino smiled.

“I am not that predictable, Tino.” Saint smiled back sinisterly. “Toby taught me better.”

“You’re really Tobias carbon copy. You should be his twin instead of Dean.” Tino laughed.

“Speaking of Dean, I haven’t visited that dude since his wedding. It’s hightime.” Saint sighed.

Uncle Will was immediately led in by two other workers. More lights came on, bathing every single dead body in their clean frozen glasses.

Uncle Will’s attention stayed solely on the newly brought body with the carved back on the front glass.

He adjusted his hat, eyes thinning.

“This,” he faced the workers. “Was sent from the Church?—from Tobias?”

“Absolutely sir. A guy named Jude delivered it with a order from the Priest that this body must be buried in VVIP.” The workers replied.

“Of course it must be in VVIP,” Saint laughed. “The body has a note from his cult, so he cherishes it.”

“Saint!” Uncle Will glared.

“I’m spitting the truth!” Saint glared back. “You know he’s the fuckin backbone of that cult, and they can’t let him go. Toby himself would never let them go no matter the years he spent in seminary. Odium cult is only hibernating, they’re coming back to claim their member!”

Uncle Will nearly punched Saint in the face, but Tino blocked him.

Saint smiled with only a side of his lips, like an animal that he is.

Uncle Will’s hand went down.

[Allison’s Mansion – Kitchen]

“Why the f+ck is Phina not picking her damn phone?” Allison groaned, dropping her phone after dialling her again for the umpteenth time.

She spent all day resting cos there was no event today, but her rest was hitched when Bexley came at 7, so they went shopping for groceries together, and now they’re in the kitchen, cooking together.

“I swear if you dial that girl one more time, you’ll take her as your sister instead of me!” Bexley threatened from behind.

Allison slowly turned her head.

Bexley sat on the kitchen island in her bum shorts and br@, and a cup of ice cream in hand.

“I told you times with no damn number to stop getting jealous of Phina! Phina might be my friend and age mate, but she’s fragile unless she gets gets brutally triggered. Her family treats her bad, she needs me.” Allison addressed sternly.

“You’re Allison Hart, she’s Seraphina Redd, or maybe she’s Seraphina St. Graves now that she married one of the most successful CEOs in this city. She’s not your family!” Bexley argued right back.

“Bî+ch, just shut up. I don’t have the energy to trade words with you.” Allison pointed the knife at her and returned to chopping the vegetables. “You better not get me disappointed at the Charity dinner next week. Serve well, and your account will fatten. The organizers are the Redds.”

“How I hate that family, but what can be done? I have to make this money!” Bexley pressed her lips.

“Yeah we got to!” Allison winked. “But Valhalla Club is making my blood boil. Who exactly are these people?”

“I heard the inside of the club is so otherworldly one could get lost.” Bexley breathed.

“So I heard, but how do I get in and know the tops?” Allison’s voice rose over the knife chops.

Bexley ate from her ice cream, staying silent.

[One Week Later, A Exclusive Teahouse]

Seraphina came out with her bag strap hung on her inner elbow, exhausting written all-over her.

She has been on her job hunting since 7am today, and time is currently 5pm.

She knew big companies wouldn’t take a dropout, so she went from one small-scale organization to another.

But no one got anything to offer her.

“We don’t need a staff.”

“We might be small-scale, but we value complete credentials.”

“Aren’t you the Redd family curse? Go jinx somewhere else.

She heard so many things today, and she even brought her crotchets along to introduce to people, but as usual, she was mocked.

No one wanted to buy.

Even in the teahouse she’s just coming out of, no one looked at her crotchets twice.

She flipped her phone and looked at her account balance

30k

She’s running low on funds.

That’s shitty.

She was literally dragging her heels on the ground as she walked to her car, but her face went up when she saw the skyscraper LED in front of her, showing Dean who’s currently on TV giving advice to young CEOs.

Kelly is behind him as his Analyst, smiling professionally.

That slut.

Since the past one week, Dean hadn’t come home to sleep.

He was definitely sleeping it all at Kelly’s place. No doubt.

Seraphina slept in the estate alone, and it’s been a weird kind of peaceful.

She opened her car door, about to enter, but another scene hit the LED screen like a tornado. It’s the news of tommorow’s Charity dinner.

Redd family is holding another one of their popular vain dinners where rich people donate to the poor.

She closed her car door, giving up on entering. Frustratingly, she rested her forehead on her car, but her mind just wouldn’t stop bouncing around.

This time, it went to what she experienced in Church a week ago.

The c+mming.

Her m+ans.

Her fingers…

That’s like the only meaningful, satisfying thing that ever happened in her existence since a week ago.

Nothing else made her feel good.

In her world of blur and blue, that moment was her only delight.

She still feels guilty about it. She still doesn’t know who that counselor was. She didn’t visit the Church again since then, but anytime she thinks about it, she gets turned on.

It this a curse?

She continued leaning on her car, wanting to even sleep there if possible, but a scent made her head come up. The corruptive scent of whiskey and oud.

It’s a scent she only smelled once when she exchanged words with the Priest in Church last week.

Her head went up, and her hateful glare formed on her face immediately she sighted him.

It’s really him.

The Priest.

Tobias is coming out of the teahouse with Jude and Nun Estelle at each side of him, his aura maddening.

He wore one of his black dress-shirts and expensive coats, rosary dangling around his neck slowly.

For a Priest, he wears too many expensive stuffs. Even that rosary is limited edition, but he’s barely a Priest anyways. Someone who slapped her isn’t a real Priest.

He came to the teahouse for a exclusive meet with one of the heads of the Church, actually.

And they’re returning now.

Maybe they used the VVIP rooms, that’s why Seraphina didn’t see them when she went in to introduce her crotchets to the people inside.

“Mrs. St. Gra—” Jude said, but he quickly stopped, remembering her warming. “I mean… Miss Seraphina.”

“Would have replied you, but you’re with someone I hate, so just skedaddle!” She replied rudely, glaring hard at Tobias who’s behind.

“Are you talking about Father Tobias? You hate him?” Nun Estelle sneered. “You should get on your knees and let him pray for your dying marriage!”

“Bitch, shut the F+ck up! You have no right to talk about my marriage! Leave with your undeserving Priest!” Seraphina yelled angrily.

“Undeserving?” Tobias stepped into the scene, presence suffocating. His whiskey and oud is gagging, and Seraphina hates it madly.

She has never liked loud perfumes.

“Unde fuckin servin’?” Tobias repeated for her alone to hear, his eyes corruptly slashing her face.

“Yeah,” Seraphina looked up, mouth knotted. “Undeserving!”

“Are you sure? Cos you liked my orders, and you followed them like the Stupid little hungry Dog that you are.” He muttered.

Her lashes raised, hatred still so consuming and hot.

“What foolish orders?”

Like a felon, he leaned to her ears, bending his unfair height to balance well before whispering darkly…

“The dirty orders that made your starved p+ssy c+m in the Church counsel box, exactly a week ago.”

Seraphina’s bag fell flat beside her feet. Her arms dropped.
