The Divorce Episode Three

Dianna was left in total confusion as to how to handle the situation she found herself in. Throughout the day, she was not in her right frame of mind as she kept weighing her options. Essentially, she was in a cul-de-sac.

"If I reject the white man, he is going to sack my husband and we will go back to that one bedroom apartment. We will lose the house and the two cars we now have in our possession. My husband will become jobless again, putting us at the mercy of hunger and lack of money. This is bad." Dianna said to herself while reflecting on the situation in the living room.

"I was just thinking what I did with the white man was a one off thing. I did not know he would come back for more like Oliver Twist. What am I going to do right now?" Dianna asked herself. Dianna loves her husband, and did not want to lose him. She also doesn't want her husband to lose his job. She was trying to make the right decision but she soon realized that whichever decision she took would have serious concequences on her and her husband.

"I don't know if I should tell my husband about this. Should I tell him the truth? I think it is better to tell him the truth and be free of the guilt. But if I tell him the truth, he is going to hate me forever. He would feel terrible if he becomes aware that I slept with Jones to get him a job. No man wants to hear that his wife slept with another man. My husband will kill me if he ever finds out what happened between me and Jones. He may even divorce me if he discovers the truth. Telling the truth is not an option. There must be another way out of this mess." Dianna said in her heart. She was watching a movie but her mind was not focused on the TV because she was busy thinking about her problem.

As she was ruminating and trying to figure out how to handle her problem, her phone beeped and when she checked, she saw that it was a Whatsapp message from Jones.

"I hope you have taken a decision about what I told you when I visited your house. I was not joking about dismissing your husband from work. I will do it tomorrow if you refuse to visit my house. If you know what is good for you, come to my house once your husband goes to work. The address to my house is in this message. And let me also inform you that I have a video of what we did in my office. I will send it to you. Even after sacking your husband, I will still get what I want from you or I will make the video to go viral. So, please, don't try me. Follow the address tomorrow and visit my house or, you will regret ever knowing me." The message reads.

Diana became so scared after she read the message.

"Oh God, so he recorded a video of our bedroom action in his office? I didn't know he planted a camera in his office. I'm in real mess." Diana said. Her phone beeped again. She saw that Jones sent her the video showing what they did during the intimate moment in his office.

"There's fire on the mountain." Diana said after watching the video.

"If this man posts this video online, I'm finished. I'm not sure I can survive it. I will prepare and visit his house tomorrow." Diana said. The door flipped open and she saw that her husband had come back from work.

"Welcome honey. How was work today?" Diana asked. She was crying before her husband came in, but she quickly wiped the tears gushing from her eyes and started smiling.

"My darling. Are you okay? Is that tears in your eyes? Are you crying?" Tekena asked his wife as they hugged.

"No honey! I was cutting onions in the kitchen. That's what brought tears from my eyes. I'm cooking okra soup for you and was cutting onions to use and spice up the meat. You know onion is very acerbic." Diana said with a smile. Her husband believed her.

Throughout that night, Diana was not herself. The thought of the problem she got herself into kept making her scared. Even when they went to bed that night, she barely slept.

The next day, Tekena left for work, giving Diana the opportunity to visit Jones. She decided not to use her own car, but instead, made use of Uber. She left home around 10am and she arrived Jones' house around 11am.

The house was a palatial mansion located in an exclusively rich estate. When Diana walked into the building, it felt like a paradise. Everything was 100% lavish.

"Welcome to my home." Jones said when he saw Diana. She was still watching the interior deco of the house when Jones walked in.

"You like my house?" Jones asked.

"Yea. Your house is great. But I'm very uncomfortable here." Diana replied.

"Why? Should we go to a hotel?" He asked.

"No! This place is good. Just that as a married woman, what we are doing is not right. Besides, I don't like the way you are taking the whole thing. You are threatening me, saying you will sack my husband if I don't agree to your demands. Don't you think what you are doing is out of order? And dare you record a video of what happened between us in your office? That's not how to treat a woman." Diana said.

"You didn't remember your marriage when you first came to my office to look for a job for your husband. Follow me to my room. I don't have time for too much talk." Jones said.

"What if I refuse to follow you?" Diana said, trying to put up some form of resistance.

"Then get ready to face the consequences." Jones said. Diana had no option but to follow him. She allowed him do all he wanted in the bedroom.
