“hi,” i said while he smiled then walked to me.

“meet my friend,” he said to Declan while he smile.

“so you’ve accepted my offer? he smirk.

“no… i can’t do that,” i said while he looked so disappointed.

“but.. why? he asked slowly.
“anyway am not too sure, but i will give it a second thought,”

“a second thought, well maybe you don’t need the money,” he said.

“not that, i have to go now, but what’s your name?
“Ethan Bernford,” he said while i nodded.

“i will give you a call that’s if i agree to that,” i said then left. Maybe mom was right with what she said.

?Ethan’s POV?

I ran my fingers throu-ghmy hair. Why the hell did she reject my offer. I mean no one does that, don’t she want the money anymore.

‘who’s she, your girlfriend or just a…? Declan was trying to say something but i stopped him.

“my new house help, but she reject the offer,” i yelled in anger.

“but why the hell are you angry,” he asked.

“because that’s the only way i can be close to her, i need her,” i said sadly then slump into the armchair.

“Ethan, are you sure? she look kinda tough,” he said while i nodded.

“yes and that’s the reason i want her in my bed, to use and dumped her, she got all i needed, she’s just too tempting,”

“well good for you, she didn’t accept your offer,” Declan said with a mockery smile while i felt more angry.

?Chloe’s POV?

I sat down beside mom and aunt Cecily who was lying on the bed.

“aunt don’t worry you’ll get out of this place soon,” i said holding her hands while she smile weakly.

“i just feel like a burden to you,” she said.

No Cecily, you’re also part of the family and we won’t watch you die,” mom said almost in tears, now they’re getting emotional and i don’t want to cry.

“mom…it still about the guy who offer me the job, he’s name is Ethan Bernford and he has a brother Declan.

“what! mom looked surprise.
“Nicholas kids, hell no, you’re going nowhere close to them, i sometime think that Nicholas is up to no good, no one must know you’re my daughter because the are enemies within. I have a bad feeling about this,”

she said while i shook my head, mom can sometimes be so dramtic.

“mom, so are we gonna live like this for the rest of our lives, how we do intend to win Jasmine back and how do you intend to prove to everyone that am the biological daughter of Sir Anton, we can’t just do that by keeping quiet, i need to this mom so i could get close Jasmine am quite sure she’s close to them, i might got the chance to do DNA with dad, i want to know everything for myself mom, you keep on insisting saying he’s my dad and i want to know the whole truth all we need is few strand of his hair for the DNA. Am sure Ethan might help me do that or Jasmine.

“that’s a good idea Chloe, you’re a genius,” aunt said while i turn to look at mom who look sad

“mom, aren’t you okay with that? i asked.

“but Chloe… how do you intend to be friends with Jasmine without her knowing you’re her sister, am sure you know how she hate us,”

“mom, Ethan might help… am just so confused now but am not gonna tell them about you being my mother until my mission is over and who knows if i might have a clue of what happen to your in the past… mom don’t you think it time to show up so we could know who our enemis are,” i said while she nodded then hug-ged me.

“i pray nothing bad happens to you, Chloe i don’t know if i will survive if anything bad happen to you,” she said looking straight to my eyes, mom sometimes get worried for no reason.

“i will play my card well mom, i desperately want to know how that wicked man will react if he knows am his biological daughter but to be honest with you mom i won’t ever accept him as my father, i might be simple, nice and kind but am afraid am not going to forgive him if he turns out to be my father,” i said while mom just nodded in tears.

“he’s still your father…well i just hope you get alone with your sister, i wish Jasmine will accept us back the sooner before it too late,” mom said while i nodded.

“mom, am also doing this for Aunt Cecily so we could get money for her treatment, and for the truth to be reveal am willing to help you find whoever hurt you in the past mom, and they’ll pay for this including Anton who left you”

“thank you so much Chloe, you’re so smart but… you have to becareful especially with Jasmine and her step mother,” aunt Cecily said while i nodded. She’s my sister i know no matter what she’ll not gonna hurt me.

? I arrived home later in the evening and meet Erica done with dinner.

“so how was school?
“was good, how’s mom and aunt..i just made dinner and about to take it to them,” she said while i smile.

“well i have talk about it with mom and also about our plan,” i said while she look confused. I told her everything and she look kinda surprise.

“what’s the guy name? she asked

“Ethan Bernford,” i said while she frown then stood up.

“is anything wrong Erica.. did you know him..is he bad person.. if you don’t wan tme to work their then fine am okay with that,” i said then held her hand and looked at me.

“he just want you to help out with some house work right? she asked while i nodded.

“am okay with that.. i hope you becomes friends with Jasmine and as for your dad, i guess if he knows you’re his real daughter this might lead to war, Karen his new wife might nunt for you to kill you.. that means your life is at stake, please Chloe take care of yourself, i love you so much i can’t lose a good sister like you,” she said while i smile then hug-ged her.

“it not like you not gonna see me, i will start the work in maybe by eight in the morning to maybe six in the evening, well i will just calll Ethan to explain more to me,” i said while she smile.

?Jasmine’s POV?

Everyone is happy that am home, i was so happy but i tried calling Ethan he wasn’t picking up my calls. Dad insisted to throw a welcome party for me which was absutely nice, am sure he must have spent a lot. All i wanted to see now is Ethan or atleast Declan.

The party ended well i was so exhauted, what the hell is wrong with Ethan, why isn’t he picking up my calls, don’t he still love me. I walked to my room feeling so angry about the whole thing.

“calm down Jasmine, why the heck are you angry, i thought this suppose to be your daddy day,” mom said as she walked in while i sighed then threw my phone.

“i couldn’t reach Ethan mom, i love him,” i said and my eyes were already filled up with tears.

“Jasmine, i thought you’ve broken up with him? mom asked while i shook my head.

“i know mom, but i still love mom, can you please und-erstand me,” i said in tears while she pulled me for a hug.
“am sorry Jasmine, please don’t cry. Maybe Ethan is busy or maybe he isn’t close to the phone no need to panic,” she said while i nodded.

“if you need anything just tell me, i need to go to your dad,” she said then ki-ssed my cheeks before leaving. I took my bath and laid on my bed, Maybve Ethan has moved on already.. but hell no, am not gonna tolerate that, whoever that bitc-h is am gonna kill her.
“Jas,” Sean said with a smile then walked in.

“why the sad face huh, dad was damn worried about you,” he said while i smile sadly.
“come here Sean, i need to ask you this,” i said while he moved clsoer and sat on my bed.
“is Ethan still alive? i asked while he look kinda confuse.

“alive? what happen? what sort of question ius that, Ethan is still alive,” he said while i rolled my eyes.

“then why isn’t he picking up my calls?

“because he was heart broken Jasmine. Ethan truly loves you but you just over reacted just because you saw him and another girl ki-ssing afterall he don’t love the girl. Ethan was heartbroken, you’ve not been picking up his calls nor replied to his messages, but to be honest with you Ethan has moved on already, he’s now happy especially with Declan by his side,” he said while i felt so much anger.

“and why the heck are you defending him, i thought you’re my brother and you should be on my side,” i yelle at him.

“okay then, it all your fault but i will try talk to him,” he said while i shook my head sadly.
“you’re right it all my fault, i over reacted, i was just scared of losing him,” i said so worried.

The next morning**?

? Chloe’s POV?

I was already dressed in my simple top and a pair of jeans trouser, i was done having breakfast. Yesterday i was talked to Ethan and i could say he seems happy when i told him i accept the offer, he told me to go their by 6:30, i just feel so nervous about it.

“are you ready? Erica asked while i nodded.

yes Erica, i just hope everythig works out well at the end of this,” i said while she nodded then hug me.

“i need to go now,” she said then left, she don’t look, what could be wrong with her.

“are you ready to go? mom asked while i nodded.

“and Erica?
“she just left, she don’t look happy mom, isn’t she happy we will finally get the money for aunt surgery, if she don’t like it i can stop immedaitely and look for another job,” i said sadly.
“then what about our plan of you getting close to Jasmine,” she asked while i felt so sad immedaitely
“am so confused right now mom,”

“take care of yourself Chloe, please becareful and be a good girl,” she whisper to my ears then hug-ged me.

?I arrived to the big mansion and i was nervous already, i hope he’s parents won’t get mad at me.

I was about to knock the door when Declan came out and we almost bumped into each other.

“hi, good to see you again,” he said while i smiled.

“you can go in,” he said while i walked in. The sitting room was so large and beautiful.

“Chloe,” I heard Ethan voice from behind.

“thank you for accepting my offer, am gonna transfer some money to your account today,” he said while i nodded.

“well it just a simple job you gonna do for me and my family, first is cooking, hope you can cook? he asked while i glare at me before i nodded.
“well you’ll make breakfast, lunch and dinner for my family, wash the dishes and then clean up the whole house, bvut first i have to introduce you to my parents,” he said while i nodded.

“who’s she? i heard a masculine voice coming from the stairs. I guess it his father.

“the new house help,” Ethan said while he’s dad smile.
“you look beautiful, what your name? he asked.

“Chloe,” i saiod while he looked kinda shocked.

“Chloe… who are you parents? he asked while i smile. mom said i must never told them my identity.

“well i live with my mom and dad, i also have three siblings,” i said while he nodded then left. Their’s something suspicious about him and am gonna find out soon. I need to get my mission done.

Erica’s POV??

I don’t like the idea of Chloe working where Ethan lives, it just so heark breaking well i und-erstand her, she’s doing that for aunt Cecily and i really appreciates that but Ethan haven’t told me anything well i guess he don’t know she’s my sister. Well i called him to meet me at restaurant and thank goodness he did, he didn’t give anything excuses.

“Ethan,” i called then rushed to hug him.

“Erica.. what wrong? he asked.
“nothing, i just feel like calling you over here because i miss you,” i said while he smiled before ki-ssing me, he’s such a good ki-sser, i just hope he truly loves me.

“Ethan! i heard a female voice behind us and i turn to see a beautiful lady standing with so much anger.

“Jasmine! he called out liek he doesn’t care. What the heck? is this Jasmine… Chloe’s sister? what a twist then.

“Ethan we need to talk,” she frown while he looked at her then me. He held my hand and we walked out leaving her still standing their alone…
