I was damn angry at her, how dare she ruined my day and still ruin my white shirt, what the hell is wrong with her. Well i just decided to act a nice guy because she’s beautiful, perphaps the most beautiful girl i have ever seen, even more beautiful that Jasmine. I think i like her already but hell no i can never fall for her, am not gonna fall into victim of another heart break, i just want to have her in bed. But she looks familiar, well let see how am gonna get her to myself. I smirk at the thought, am gonna use and dump her. <>> I chuckle at that, well did he just called himself my hero?

but he didn’t tell me his name am glad he came on time to save me, i thought guys are always heartless but this particular guy prove me wrong. I felt so sad when i remember what that man did to me, so he was a bad man afterall. I know mom will be so worried and sad when she heard this and not now that aunt Cecily is sick i don’t want mom to get much worried.

“Erica,” i called then saw her busy with her phone.

“huh.. you seems happy Erica,” i said while she nodded.

“just chating with a friend of mine, he’s so sweet,” she said while i rolled my eyes. Did she just say ‘him’.

“where’s mom? i asked.

“at hospital with aunt,” she said while i nodded.

“something happen,” i said sadly then sat down next to her.

“i quit my job, am no longer going their,” i said in tears while Erica pulled me to her arms.
“what..what happen Chloe, we’re all looking up to you and you know i have exams starting from next week i could have find something doing,” she said.

“i know mom will be disappointed but i never knew my boss was in love with me as he said, he tried to ra-ped me, Erica i don’t know why this is happening to me for the second time, i really don’t know and its getting me scared,” i said in tears.

“what!… am so sorry Chloe, i don’t know why the devil want you to be a victim of ra-pe, what the hell is wrong with those good for nothing men! she yelled.

“Erica please don’t tell mom about anything, i don’t want her to get so worried and she might not allow me get any job afterall the guy who saved me offered me a job in his house as a househelp, he said he gonna help me with much money for aunt treatment,” i said wiping away my tears.

“really! he must be rich then… but Chloe did you know that guy, what’s his name? she asked while i kept quiet for some time, he didn’t tell me his name.

“i have his contact and address, i guess i will just contact him to get more information, he said i can work for like one month until aunt Cecily recovered, i don’t know if i should accept it,”

“well, let mom come first.. but i don’t actually like the idea of you working as a househelp, Chloe you need to get a good job… you don’t deserve to be someone’s maid,” she said so worried. But what else will i do??

“things will turn out well Erica, i just need to do anything for the sake of Aunt Cecily,” i said while she nodded.

“she’s also like a mother to me because she’s related to my mom, i wish my parents are alive,” she said sadly then i hug-ged her.

? The next morning i made breakfast for the family while Erica was already dressed up for school while i was dressed up to go and see mom and aunt at the hospital.

“take care Erica,” i said while she smiled.

“immediately after lectures i will go visit you in the hospital and guess something? she asked while i smile.

“what could it be? i asked.

“well… i happen to meet this guy at the coffee shop last three days, he’s cute, handsome and nice, so don’t be surprise to know i have a boyfriend,” she giggle while i smiled.

“that’s good, but Erica you just meet him please becareful not to get hurt, i hope you still remember what mom told us about men, i still don’t trust them. But i know you’re smart please don’t be in a haste to rush into a relationship with any guy, i can’t take it when any damn guy break your heart,” i said while she smiled then hug-ged me.

“you’re the best sister ever, i love you so much,” she said then ki-ssed my cheeks.

“i love you too, take care,” i said while she left. I sighed then picked up my bag to leave, why did i have this bad feeling, who is Erica in love with, she just need to becareful with men!

I arrived at the hospital then meet mom beside Aunt Cecily.
“good morning sweet mother,” i said while she smile.
“morning Chloe, how are you and also Erica?

“fine mom, Erica is already at school,” i said then turn to aunt Cecily who was fast asleeping.
“how’s aunt doing? i asked.

“she’s quite well but the doctor required some money for her surgery, they money we have isn’t enough, what about your job, what has your boss said? has he decided to give you your pay… Mom kept asking while tears were already in my eyes.

“am fired mom, he fired me,” i said in tears while she hug-ged me.

“am sorry Chloe, please don’t cry,” she cooed while i nodded.
“mom, it true that when a door closes, another one open, i got another job as a househelp, or rather a cook. He’s willing to pay me any amount for aunt surgery,” i said while mom looked surprise.

“he’? she asked i know she must be surprise to hear that. Well i do have male friends but i don’t actually trust them and i have never thought of being in love with anyone else, i just want to be myself… am scared i might get hurt just like mom, i might not be strong as my mom because she really tried, she lost all her loved ones, her parents, her unborn baby, Jasmine, also dad and Mrs Catherine and her husband isn’t that so much pains. I might not handle this all alone just the way mom did.

“yes mom, he’s a good person, just allow me do this for the sake of aunt Cecily, he said i can work for at least one month before aunt get well,” i said while she sighed then held my hands.

“are you sure about this Chloe, hope you’re not hiding anything from me and why did your boss fired you? she asked, am speechless now, i really don’t want to tell her what happen and how that handsome guy saved me.

“mom.. can you imagine him saying he loves me, so i got angry and he fired me,” i said while she looked so worried.

“are you sure that’s all? but how could he do that to you? Chloe i can’t let you work as a househelp something bad might happen to you,” mom said, she looked so serious.

“but mom…”
“that’s final Chloe, you’re not gonna work their, i will think of something else, i have a bad feeling about this,” she said while she nodded. Well mothers always know best…but Geez.. does that mean i won’t get to see that guy again..why am i even thinking of him.

⏩Later in the evening Erica to the hospital, aunt Cecily was awake and kept telling us not to worry about her and not to spent much on her. We have dinner together at the hospital before i later left. I went to san street, that the address that guy gave me, i tried calling his number but it not going throu-ghso i guess the best way is to go to his house. I arrived their then stood at the large building, the mansion look so beautiful, he must be from a rich family. I need to tell him i don’t need his offer, at least he suppose to know and i kinda feel he owe me something for saving me from the man. I knock the gate and he guard open it for me.

“am here to see someone,” i said, that guy refuse to tell me his name… what else am i going to say.

“is its Sir Ethan or Declan or his parents,” the guard said while i seems surprise. What! He’s Ethan and also Declan, the name sound so familiar to me, mom usually talk about them, she said they were sweet kid and also my childhood friends.

“both,” i said while he nodded then show me the way to the sitting room. The house was so beautiful, i know Jasmine live all her life in luxury and also have maids and nanny attending to her needs and here i am, stranded!.

I knocked the door then waited quietly for someone to open. A tall handsome guy open the door, am sure it not the guy i meet yesterday.

“hi,” he said sweetly while i replied him dryly. How do i even ask about that guy while i don’t know his name, well, i guess it Ethan or Declan just the way the guard mention.

“are you looking for someone else or you lost your way? the guy while i nodded.

“well am Declan,” he smile, his gaze was on me, he couldn’t even take his eyes off me, it as if he’s checking me out. What wrong with guys and this staring of a thing…

“nice to meet you, please is Ethan here? i asked.

“crying babe?” i heard his voice from behind..

will Declan protect her from him??… when he realize he’s also de-eply in love with her..
