"My love, do you think it is good for you to resign now? I don't think it is a good decision. Why not wait a little longer? Have you thought of any business you would like to start? I think the wise thing to do is to start a business first, then resign from your job when the business becomes strong. It could be risky to resign from your job in pursuit of a business you don't even know if it will work." Msizi said to Sizwe.

"Don't worry my love. I think the risk is worth taking. I can not make anything meaningful from my life if I keep earning that small salary. I have to resign and build a business now that I'm still strong and young. There will come a time when I will become old and unable to hustle. Please, my love, allow me to resign. It's going to help us become more financially stable if I build a business. I promise to take good care of you." Sizwe said with a calm voice, hoping that he had convinced Msizi to try and see things from his perspective.

"If we don't build a business, we will have problems when we grow old. And like I said earlier, taking care of a baby requires a whole lot. It won't be wise if I allow you to carry the burden a lone. I should be able to support you not only financially but to also be available for the child. We are not going to suffer because of my resignation. After all, the money they are paying me at the supermarket cannot even cook soup for two days." Sizwe said. He was surprised that after pleading with Msizi to allow him to resign, she refused, insisting that she was not in support of the decision.

"I'm not in support of your resignation. You need

to have another source of income no matter

how small. You can now look for a business

that can yield guaranteed profit and then we

can invest money in it. When the business

becomes strong, then you can resign. Resigning

and becoming jobless is too risky" Msizi said. At

that point, Sizwe decided to rest the topic. Не

doesn't want his woman stress her voice.

"Alright, we can talk about this some other time. "Sizwe said as he slept off. The next day at work, he tendered his resignation letter despite Msizi kicking against the decision.

Sizwe was told to prepare his hand over notes. He is supposed to write down in details, how

much was in each of the bank accounts the supermarket has. A new cashier named Masango had already been employed and he had resumed work. The owner of the supermarket asked Sizwe to properly hand to the new accountant and to make sure that everything was in order before he would leave.

"I have resigned from my job. But I will be going to work until I properly hand over to the new cashier. For the next five days, we will be checking all the bank accounts and POS the supermarket uses. We want to know how much entered all of them within the past one year. Once we are done, I will be officially free." Sizwe said.

"What? What did you say?" Msizi asked. She was shocked because she knew the consequences of Sizwe's resignation. Her secret would soon be discovered.

"I said I have resigned." Sizwe said again.

"You are not serious?" Msizi said as she picked her bag and left the house.
