"I want to buy a house. I have decided to stop paying rent. I will use your name and buy the house because as it is in our culture, the woman is expected to respect the man. It would be disrespectful for me to buy a house in my name when my boyfriend is yet to make enough money to do so himself. I will give you the money to use and pay for the house, then when you make money, you can now pay me back." Msizi tells Sizwe who just returned from work. It is now one six months since she swapped the supermarket POS machine with her own and she is now very rich. There is already N80 million in her account and no one has discovered yet. The supermarket is so big and the owner is so rich that such money could disappear and no one will quickly detect. In fact, it was hard to detect, because there were hardly any traces. So, she decided to start spending the money.

"Where did you suddenly got money to buy a house? How can you just wake up and say you want to buy a house? Your parents are not rich and no inheritance was left for you. You have no major investments that could yield such big money in a short time. It is surprising that you are talking of buying a house when you can barely pay your rent without going broke. Where did you get the money? If you don't explain it properly to me, I will not be party to it." Sizwe said to Msizi who was busy pressing her phone. She had expected this reaction from her boyfriend, so she already prepared a convincing answer to give him.

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. I wanted it to be a surprised to you. I actually invested some money in bitcoin three years ago and the price has appreciated astronomically. I did not even know that it will bring profit. I just said let me drop the money in it and today, the thing has yielded millions of Naira for me. I actually bought one bitcoin that time it was sold at $1000. Now, it is sold at $60,000. My dear, join me and thank this God for what he has done for me. I'm so glad the wise decision I took years ago has made me to be financially free today. It was a huge sacrifice because I invested all my savings into it back then." Msizi said. She knew she had convinced Sizwe with her lies. Sizwe himself knows about bitcoin and was aware how much it is sold. So, he did not bother to ask more questions as he quickly accepted the

explanation given to him by Msizi.

"Wow! That was a very wise decision and I must say you are a very courageous woman. I have always felt you are hiding something from me. Now, the truth has come out. Thank God you made it, if not, I would have been so sad if you had lost that money. Congratulations to you my love. So, have you found a house to buy? Which location? I'm ready to do whatever it takes to make sure we find a nice house in a good location. I'm so happy we will stop paying rent." Sizwe said, shouting on top of his voice. He jumped up and hugged Msizi.

"There is a real estate agent I contacted and he has shown me a good property. I want us to go and see it on Sunday. You are not going to work on Sunday, so it will be a good opportunity for us to contact the agent so that we can take a proper look at the house together. It is a five- bedroom apartment and it is located in Guzape here in Abuja. I'm sure you will like it. I have gone there to check it out." Msizi said with a smile on her face. She was obviously very happy that Sizwe did not suspect anything fishy.

"How much is this property you are talking

about?" Sizwe asked.

"The agent said everything is N12 million with agency fee and every other thing you pay when you buy a house." Msizi said.

"Wait, you mean you have N12 million in your account right now? Like, the money is in your bank account?" Sizwe asked. He was scared when he heard the amount of money. With his current salary, he has to work for 100 years before having that kind of money in his bank account.

"Yes! I have the money and even more. I said I sold one bitcoin for $60,000. Do you know how much that is worth when converted to Naira? We are officially rich." Msizi declared with full confidence.

"Hmmm! I'm so happy for you. Please, I want you to invest the money properly. Apart from buying a house, what else do you plan to do?" Sizwe asked.

"I will hand over everything to you. You can help me invest it where it would yield more profit. I want to expand my POS business and make it bigger. I will build more branches and

concentrate on it while you also invest on other things. You can continue working at the supermarket while investing." Msizi said confidently, placing her hands on Sizwe's shoulders.

"I know exactly what to invest the money in. I will buy houses in the city and rent them out to tenants. It is a cool investment that yields so much money. That way, I can continue working until we decide when I will resign." Sizwe said happily.

"That's right. Whatever you decide, I will follow you. You are my boyfriend and the head of this relationship. But you have not said anything about getting married to me." Msizi lamented jokingly.

"Ah! We are already husband and wife. The only thing remaining is for me to visit your parents and pay your bride price. Once we buy the house now, we are going to be living together and investing together. What other thing do you want? Don't worry, marriage will come as fast as possible now that we have money. I was waiting for money, now the money has come. I don't have any other excuse." Sizwe said as he hugged Msizi.

"I have transferred N50 million into your account. Once you use this one finish, I will send another money. I want you to pay for all the investments with your name. The house we are going to see on Sunday, you will pay with your name. After all, you are my husband to be and I'm supposed to submit to you. Our culture says everything I own belongs to you." Msizi said. Sizwe was very happy hearing those words.

Within the next two weeks, they were able to finalise arrangement for the new house and Sizwe paid and all the papers of the house were written in his name. He bought four other houses with the remaining money and they became landlords. They moved into the first house and started living together.

"Life is so sweet when you have money. With the strategic move I have made now, there is no way Sizwe can deny me if I'm caught. If it is discovered that I'm stealing money from the supermarket, he will not escape because the money is being invested and spent using his name. We are in it together and we are stealing and enjoying together. I will never allow him to resign from that job at the supermarket because that is our source of income." Msizi said to herself that evening after they moved into their new house.
