THAT NIGHT**

“You guys promised!!” Maureen whined, studying the expressions of the different faces around.

They all sat on the floor in the sitting room, making a circle.

“Today is the last day. So,,, let’s all cheer up… I can see most of us aren’t in the mood for the dare game but…we need to do it and nobody is leaving. Whatever you guys are feeling isn’t any of my business. Now, let’s play!”

Some of them sighed.

“It’ll be fun, I promise” She smiled and poured a bowl of folded paper in the space between.

“Now, these papers you see here has our names inside it. I wrote and made them myself” Maureen giggled.

“And I see you gat no work. Look at the numerous papers” Jade shook her head.

“Well, I was bored. I had nothing to do today. You and Natalie must have had it fun at shopping” She said and Natalie looked down.

Jade only smiled.

Maureen brou-ght a box closer and opened it.

She took out the bottle of beers in it and gave it to them, one each.

“So, how are we gonna play this dare?” Jade asked, looking at the icy bottle she was holding.

Maureen cleared her throat.

“Listen up, guys” She smiled and they all faced her.

“We are all gonna pick a paper, one after the other. The total of times we will all pick a paper is 3 times. Therefore, we are give a dare 3 good times!”

“And when you are dared, you can’t break out of it. You can only break it once. Maybe you don’t like what you were dared to do or you don’t wanna do it,, you just have to open your beer and drink the whole content at once!”

“What!!” John screamed.

“Oh shut up; Nobody is complaining. You’re so old fashioned” Maurren scoffed.

“Or maybe you aren’t man enoigh to hold your liquor?” She laughed.

“You got be bluffing! Just contine” John snarled.

“Anyways, as I was saying. We can only break out of a dare once. Anymore dares given to you, must be carried out. Therefore! You’ve to be very wise and careful before opening that co-rk. Who knows? Your name might appear more than 10 times or none at all” She winked.

“Natalie. You’re first. After you, is me” She pointed.

“We are going this way” She gave a round motion with her index finger.

“Got it. Let’s hurry” Jayden said, impatiently.

“Natalie…Pick” Maureen smiled.

Natalie inhaled de-eperly as her vibrating fingers made a rou-ghpattern on the papers.

She picked one but quickly dropped it, then went for another.

She slowly took her hands to her face and unfolded the paper.

“Darn” She muttered, seeing the name.

“Who’s it??” Maureen asked, curiously and peeked at it.

“Wow! Natalie gets to dare Jayden!!” She smiled.

“Say your dare, Natalie and it’ll be done until Jayden drinks his bottle though!” She added.

Whitney glimpsed at Jayden who had a cold but moody faclal expression.

“Dare me” He said, in a soft whisper.

Natalie swallowed and looked into his eyes.

“Jayden….” She started.

“I…dare you to…kis-s Jade”

Jade eyes wide-ned.

“Wha…What?” She stammered.

Whitney gazed at Natalie, dumbfounded.

She quickly carried her gaze to Jayden.

Everyone knew he wouldn’t do it. He definetly wouldn’t?

He looked at Whitney who still had her eyes on him. Her eyes were growing gloomy and getting misty already.

“Please….Stand up, Jayden. Stand up…Please…. and…kis-s me” Jade thought, her heart beating fast.

Jayden finally took his eyes away from Whitney and she gasped, sadly.

The tear fell down her eye, when Jayden got on his feet.

He slowly walked to Jade and bent before her.

They all stared in awe.

Jade raised her shoulders slightly, as she felt his warm palm fondling her cheek.

He slowly bought his face closer to hers, with slightly parted li-ps.
