Desmond sighed heavily.
“I guess we don’t make a good couple despite trying our best” He answered.

Whitney un-derstood his statement and gave a sullen look.

They took their faces to where the MC stood. He was congratulating the winners, Couple 4.

“Wow? So, we fooled around for nothing. Gosh” Whitney whimpered softly.

Desmond sighed, not able to utter a word.

She ru-bbed her eyes.

“Let’s get out of here” She said, coldy and left without looking back.

Desmond followed her silently from behind.

The loud beep from Jayden’s phone woke him up instantly.

He mo-aned lowly and took his head up.

“Whitney?” He called, but there was no answer.

He stood up and washed himself up in the bathroom.

Afterwards, he dressed and strided to Desmond’s room.

He coughed lightly before placing a low knock on the door.

The door opened immediately and Clark was shown.

“Jayden?” He smiled.

Jayden inhaled and walked back, a bit.

“Where’s Desmond?” He inquired.

“Don’t know. Why?” Clark asked.

“Never mind” Jayden said.
“But,,, can I talk to you? Maybe we should talk better outside? prolly, at the garden?” He suggested.

Clark nodded and jammed the door.

“Let’s go!”

“I think its best I forgive them and move on. We can’t keep this up. Whitney doesn’t fancy this too” Jayden thought as they both went away.

In the car, Natalie could be seen shaking.

The tension and fear was still in her, running throu-ghher veins and spines.

Jade noticed this and she fumed. She clenched her hands around the steering wheel ti-ghtly and bit her li-ps.

“Can you stop shaking already!!” She barked.

“I’m sorry” Natalie muttered, and composed herself, manageably.

“Better” Jade looked away.

“So,,, when…when am I supposed to tell them I’m the green shadow?” Natalie asked.

“Don’t tell anyone!-

“But you said-

“I mean you should tell Whitney. Just tell her alone. I don’t want things getting complicated. This is what you’re gonna do and how you’ll do it. So, listen well and good”

Natalie nodded, and made her ears active.

“When we leave tomorrow, back to school, I mean. You’ll visit my room. I and Whitney are roommates so you might see us both. There, you’ll confess you’re green shadow”

“You’ll tell her Jayden got drunk once and spewed out the stuff which you sent to her”

“What stuff?”

“You don’t need to know. Just say how I am saying it. She’ll un-derstand”

“Okay” Natalie nodded.

“You’ll also tell her green shadow never made you to pour acid on her. Just say you formed the letter and story so as to get away from being a suspect”

“After your confession, you apologize. Make sure to apologize right and act well. I don’t want ru-bbish that day. Also, say you won’t do what you did again and you’ll stay away from her and…Jayden”

Natalie swallowed.

“Okay”

“Then, I’ll play my part” Jade smi-rked.

“I’ll plead with Whitney not to say anything outside. I’ll ask her to forgive you and just bury the hatchet. After that, it settled. Whitney wouldn’t wanna go further with the case anymore. I’ll be free”

Natalie glanced at her.
“I wanna ask a question though”

“What’s that?” Jade demanded.

“Huh…I…So…Do…do…you…you-

“Fu-ck! Can you just talk already? You don’t have to be scared. I’m not gonna kill you…yet”

Natalie’s body shook

“Yet?” She asked.

“Of course. Cause, if you try any sh!t. I swear, I’ll come for you and kill you. And nobody, nobody at all…will know of your sudden disappearance, talkless of your death”

Jade’s face suddenly wore a friendly smile.

“So, what were you gonna ask?”

Natalie incoming breath hanged but she managed to talk anyways.

“Do…do you like Jayden?”

Jade smile didn’t wear off.

“Yes” She answered.

“So, what’s up?” Clark asked looking at Jayden’s side profile. He wasn’t facing Clark back, but rather the front. They were sitting on the bench.

“Yeah…so…I’m…here to…I…called you here. I mean, i wanted to see you.. Clark!!”

“Huh?” Clark je-rked.

Jayden faced at him, held Clark’s shoulders and exhaled de-eperly.

“I’m sorry!” He said, loudly and very fast.

“Huh?” Clark eyes wide-ned.

“I’m certainly not gonna repeat that Fu-cking statement so forget about it” Jayden looked away.

Clark smiled and embraced him by his side, laughing.

“Stop. You’re gonna choke me” Jayden smi-rked.

“So, we are friends?” Clark giggled.

“Whatever you call it” Jayden rolled his eyes.

“Oh…Jayden. I miss you” Clark whispered.

Clark disengaged from him and when he took his eyes to the other side, he saw Whitey and Desnond walking together.

“Look. I guess Desmond is back. Maybe he and Whitney had a stroll” Clark said.

Jayden looked and quickly checked his phone to see how much time they wasted.

However, his eyes swayed when he saw the latest notification on the screen.

Green Shadow Sent A Picture, It read.

“Green shadow? Again? Since how many years now?” He thought and clic-ked it.

“Clark?” He said, and stood up.

The chatroom was loading.

“Yes?” Clark answered.

“Let me go meet them”

“Okay then” Clark smiled.

Jayden nodded and started walking. His eyes was still on his phone though.

“Jayden!!” Whitney called, happily.

Jayden was now on a sp-ot. He couldn’t move or reply.

He looked up at Desmond and Whitney and looked back at his phone.

“The h*ll??” He whispered.

Jayden took his hand down and began to walk towards them, briskly.

“Jayden. What’s u-

Before Desmond could finish his statement, Jayden gave him a ha-rd blow on his face.

Desmond grimaced.

He glared at Jayden who was pa-nting.

“The h*ll was that!” He screamed.

“I hate you” Jayden said, his eyes red and teary.

Whitney was quite shocked.

She walked in between the boys and held Jayden’s hand.

“Whats it?” She asked.

He pulled his hand away, coldly.

“Jayden?” She muttered, her brows ceasing.

“Its over, Whitney”

“What?” She whispered.

“Us. Everything about us. Let’s end it. I’ll stay in John’s room from now” He said, and turned around.

A tear ran down his eye and he quickly wiped it before walking away from sight.

Whitney tried running to him but Desmond grabbed her arm.

She turned to him and saw her had a bruise on his cheek. His li-ps was also bursted and bleeding.

“Maybe he needs to rest?” Desmond said.

“I think he wants to be alone. Allow him. He gets mood swings, sometimes” He added.

Whitney slowly took her hand to his face and wiped the blood off his li-ps with her thumb.

“You…alright?” She asked.

Desmond for-ced a smile on his sad face and teary eyes.

“Just go to your room, first and rest. We will all talk about it later, okay? Don’t get too worried”

“Okay” She nodded and left.

Clark ran to Desmond.

“Fu-ck. Why did he do that though? Was that why he was asking of you?”

“He was asking of me?”

“Yeah. He also made up with me. We are friends now” written by sommy pearl f.

Desmond smiled

“I guess he did the opposite to me. Gotta go. I need to rest” He said before departing from Clark.
