Friday

Aubrey’s POV

I walked nervously to school being extremely careful to avoid Liam. Today is Friday and he will be expecting my answer.

Although I already concluded to say yes but I’m still nervous and having second thoughts about it.

Min Seok has avoided me after what happened that morning and I don’t know what to do.

If I try talking to him, he would just walk past me like I’m not even there and I’m tired of trying. Maybe what he needs is space.

I succeeded in getting to my cla-ss without coming across Liam and I’m really grateful for that.

“Hey Aubrey” Khloe waved at me at the entrance of the cla-ssroom together with Nat

“Hi girls. Why aren’t you coming in?”

“We want to read in the library. You know our exam is starting next week” Nat answered

“Ohh… Let’s go together then”

I took my bag and we headed for the library.

Lunch time

I’ve succeeded in avoiding Liam ever since I got to school this morning and it’s lunch time now.

I don’t think it will be possible to escape from him now except if I don’t go for lunch but that will make Khloe and Natalie suspicious. I guess I have to do this.

Three of us headed to the cafeteria. We sat down and started eating quietly until Liam came to meet us.

“Good afternoon girls” he greeted taking a sit

“Afternoon” we chorused

“I actually thought you didn’t come to school today Aubrey. How come I haven’t seen you since morning?” he asked facing me and I gulped nervously

“Errm… I also didn’t see you today, I guess we’ve all been busy” I stuttered nervously

“Okay then. I want to see you after school so please wait. That’s what I came to tell you bye” with that, he stood up and left

Khloe and Natalie kept giving me faces after he left but I pretended not to see them.

After closing

I stood in a place where Liam could easily see me as I waited patiently for him. Few minutes later, I heard footsteps approaching and I raised my head to behold Liam.

I quickly took my eyes back to the floor and stared at my legs like it was the most interesting thing to do at the moment.

“I’m sorry I kept you waiting, I had a lot of things to take care of” Liam said when he got to where I was standing

“It’s okay, I haven’t really waited for long”

“Alright. Let’s go” he said and led the way

We walked to a quiet part of the school and sat across each other. Silence took over for few minutes before Liam decided to break it.

“So… Have you thought about it?” he asked

“Yes”

“Okay. What do you say to that? Will you be my girlfriend?”

“Yes, I will be your girlfriend” I answered shyly without looking at him

“Wow! That’s great! Thank you so much Aubrey” he said excitedly like a teenager in love

Does he love me this much? Thank goodness I listened to Khloe and Samantha.

We talked about random things and got to know more about each other with smiles all over our faces.

“Can I kis-s you?” he asked politely like a gentleman making me blus-h lightly

I wanted to say yes but on a second thought, I’ve never kis-sed before so it means Liam will be the first to kis-s me.

I won’t say yes now so that I won’t look cheap but I know it’s bound to happen sooner or later.

“No, not yet.”

“Ohh… I’m sorry if I’m too forward”

“No, you’re not too forward. I just want us to take things slow. This is my first time dating so I don’t want to rush things”

“Does that mean you haven’t kis-sed before?” he asked making my cheeks heat up

“Yes, I haven’t”

“Wow! So you’re still a Virg-in?” he asked surprised

“Yes. Don’t you like Virg-ins?” I asked getting scared that he would not like me anymore

“No, no. I’m just surprised that a beautiful girl like you is still untou-ched”

“O.. kay” I twitched

“Will you be chanced to go on a date with me tomorrow?” he asked

“A date?” I questioned like I was just hearing the word for the first time

“Yes. Our first date together” he responded

“Okay, I will try”

“Alright…. Let’s go home”

“Sure”

Liam’s POV

I and Aubrey walked to the gate and I couldn’t help the guilt that clouded my mind.

When she told me she was untou-ched, I don’t know how I felt. She looks really innocent and doesn’t deserve what I’m doing to her.

I’ve never felt this way towards anyone before so why is it different with Aubrey? What is this feeling I’m having towards her?

I waved at her as she got into a taxi while I also got into my car and went home. I took a cool shower and drifter to sleep immediately.

Evening

I woke up to see everywhere already dark. Did I sleep that long? I picked up my phone and saw a missed call from Aubrey.

I called her back immediately.

“Hello girlfriend” I said once she picked the call. I’m sure she must be blus-hing greatly now

“Good evening” she greeted shyly

“Come on Aubrey, you don’t have to be shy. When I call you girlfriend, you reply with boyfriend, honey, baby or anything romantic. Do you un-derstand?”

“Yes”

“Okay. So I’m sorry missed your call, I was asleep when you call”

“Oh…. But why were you sleeping? And are you just waking up?”

“Yes, I’m just waking up. I was really tired when I came home”

“Sorry. Have you taken drugs?”

“No, it’s not necessary. I’m totally fine now” I a-ssured her

“Okay. Make sure you take care of yourself”

“Sure, you too. Have you eaten?”

“Yes. What about you?”

“I just woke up now so I’ve not eaten”

“Okay. Make sure you eat before going to bed”

“Yes Mom” I teased

“I’m serious Liam”

“I know. So we’ll see tomorrow, right?”

“Yes”

“Okay, bye. I love you” I said expecting a response from Aubrey but she kept quiet

“Don’t you know you’re supposed to respond to what I said now?” I asked calmly

“I…. I …. I love you too” she managed to stutter a reply before ending the call
