Aubrey’s POV

I can’t believe Khloe slapped Min Ju because of me. Who knows what Min Ju will do to her now?

She didn’t even do something like this but Min Ju already leaked her nu-de pics not to talk of now that she slapped her in the presence of almost all the students?

“Khloe you shouldn’t have done that because of me” I said when we got to a quiet place

“Okay, I’m sorry” she said and wanted to leave but I held her back

“I didn’t mean it like that, I’m sorry. I just don’t want you to get into trouble because of me”

“Min Ju is someone I can handle so you don’t need to worry” she said with a small smile

She’s saying this because she doesn’t know Min Ju is behind the release of her nu-de pics on net and I can’t tell her because she will ask me how I know about it and that would blow my cover.

“Alright then. Let’s go to cla-ss” I said and we went to cla-ss to begin lectures

Lunch time

I and my friends (Natalie and Khloe) kept our books and wanted to go to the cafeteria for lunch when Liam and Min Seok suddenly showed up.

Huh? Why are they here?

“Aubrey, can we have lunch together?” both of them said at the same time

Okay, this is really creepy. Why are both of them asking me for lunch at the same time? Was it a planned work?

When I saw them glare at each other, that was when I knew they didn’t plan it together but still, what do they expect me to do?

“Aubrey don’t keep me waiting please” Liam said

“I.. I already planned to eat lunch with my friends. I’m sorry, maybe some other time” I said and hurriedly left with Khloe and Natalie.

When we got to the cafeteria, I released the de-eper breath I didn’t know I was holding.

“So you’re now dating the two hottest guys in school?” Khloe asked with a sm-irk

“What? No, of course not” I shrieked

“Then what was the meaning of what happened few minutes ago” Natalie asked with a scoff

“Well, I also don’t know. I mean, we were together when they came so you should be asking them that question, not me” I said before seating down to eat my food

“The last time I checked, you told us you were friends with both of them. Maybe you’ve taken it to the next level with them and you don’t want is to know.

But my advice for you is that you should be really careful. Dating two guys at a time is not right” Khloe said angering me but I just decided not to flare up

“Khloe please, just stop it. I’m not dating anyone of them so it’s your choice if you believe me or not. Excuse me” I said and walked away with my food

Khloe’s POV

“You shouldn’t have said that Khloe. Do you want to ruin our friendship?” Natalie asked calmly after Aubrey left

“I’m sorry”

“You should tell that to Aubrey, not me. Let’s just eat” she concluded and continued eating

What I said was wrong but I just couldn’t help it. Liam doesn’t give me the slightest attention, even when I was with him, it wasn’t different.

But suddenly, he just started giving all his time and attention to Aubrey claiming he loves her when I’ve always loved only him. Who in my shoes wouldn’t be jealous?

I’m going to apologise to Aubrey when we get to cla-ss because it’s not her fault, I shouldn’t have said those things to her.

Aubrey’s POV

After I left Khloe and Natalie for a quiet place, Min Seok came to meet me.

“I’m sorry about earlier. I should have just allowed you go with Liam, not giving your friends a bad impression of you” he apologised sincerely

“It’s okay” I said simply

“So.. why aren’t you with your friends?”

“Nothing. I just want to be alone”

“O…. kay. I hope I’m not disturbing you?”

“No. I mean, you can just keep me company.”

“Okay. Let’s get to know more about ourselves first” he said and my heart started beating fas-ter than usual.

Has he finally discovered my secret? That’s not possible, right?

“Aubrey” he called snapping me out of my thoughts

“Errm…. You know my name already. I don’t think there’s any other thing to say about my boring life” I said with a nervous smile

“I don’t care if you have a boring life, just tell me about yourself and probably your family”

“Okay. Well, as you know, I’m a nerd that lives with her average parents in their boss’s mansion. I have two siblings, Sofia and Jason. I think that’s all” I said with a small smile

“Ohh…. ”

“What about you?”

“Well…. I live with my mom and I’m the only child, I don’t really have any close friend”

“What about your dad?”

“I don’t want to talk about it”

“I.. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring up a bad memory”

“It’s okay. You didn’t know about it so it’s fine. Lunch time is over, let’s go to cla-ss” he said stretching his hand

I returned the plates I used to the cafeteria and went to cla-ss with Min Seok.

“Aubrey, I’m sorry” Khloe apologised immediately I sat down in cla-ss

“It’s okay” I said with a sigh and focused on bringing out the books I will be needing for the next cla-ss

“It won’t happen again. I realized I was wrong and I’m de-eperly sorry” she said again

“I’ve heard you” I glanced at her and continued with what I was doing. I heard her sigh but I didn’t bother to look at her

She has to learn not to say hurtful and offensive words to people. I’m not upset with her, I’m just trying to make her a better person.

Closing time

I bade Khloe and Natalie farewell. If you’re curious to know, I and Khloe are cool now.

I told her I wasn’t upset with her, just wanted her to learn how to sound polite and think twice before saying anything.

I walked out of the school and started walking to the bus stop when a car suddenly stopped beside me.

What does Liam wants again? I made it clear to him the last time that I don’t want to ride with him.

I ignored the car and continued walking but suddenly stopped when I heard my name. I’m 90% sure that isn’t Liam’s voice so who is the person.

I turned back and…..

“Min Seok” I called out in surprise

“Yes Aubrey, or were you expecting someone else” he said covering the little distance between us

“No. I thought it was… Uhhm…. Nvm”

“Okay, if that’s what you want. Get into the car, let me give you a ride home”

“No I’m fine, I can go on my own”

“I insist Aubrey, please”

“No Min Seok, I’m really fine”

“Okay then” he said dejectedly. Can you at least follow me out? I’m always bored and alone at home with no one to talk to. Please, just follow me to the park. Don’t say no” he said with his irresistible puppy eyes leaving Aubrey in a difficult situation
