Mary’s POV

Finally, my plan is falling into place. I have Min Ju wrapped around my fingers, all that’s left now is Khloe.

I need to get money from her before weekend so I will leave this goddamn country but I don’t have any plan yet.

Yes! I think that’s what I will do. I will look for a spare key in Khloe’s room and wait until she goes to school before searching her room for money.

Mary, you’re really smart. Keep it up!

Min Seok’s POV

Looks like Min Ju has been busy lately because she doesn’t pester me like before and I’m really grateful for that.

Byeol is giving me a really ha-rd time. There seem to be no detective that knows a thing about her and it’s strange.

I’ve asked all the competent detectives in this country but they always say the same thing.

I guess I will just have to wait for the day she will reveal her face to the world because right now, my hands are tied.

I walked around the school just looking at the students when I saw Khloe.

Hmm, Khloe! She’s nice and gentle but kind of sa-ssy. I like her, just as a friend tho but we’ve never really gotten the chance to talk except the day we bumped into each other in the hallway.

I was still admiring her when her friends came to meet her. By her friends, I mean Natalie and Aubrey.

I also like Natalie’s quiet nature, I can say she’s the most gentle among her friends. And then Aubrey, she’s also gentle but I don’t like the fact that she throws herself cheaply at Liam.

I think they’re the three most beautiful girls in the school. Although, Min Ju is also beautiful, just that she’s clingy to me.

I left there and quietly went back into my cla-ss. I would have love to make friends with some of the girls, probably Natalie and Khloe but I wouldn’t want Min Ju to hurt them because of me.

Aubrey’s POV

When I got to school, Natalie also just arrived so we went to meet Khloe together.

We were exchanging pleasantries when I noticed the transfer student staring at us.

Maybe he saw me, maybe he didn’t, I don’t know but I know he went to cla-ss after my eyes landed on him.

That doesn’t really concerns me! It’s Liam I love so every other guy should fu-ck off.

Wait! Did I just said I love Liam? OMG! Hope no one heard?

“What are you thinking about Aubrey?” Khloe asked waving at my face

“It’s nothing” I replied with a faux smile

“Ohh … Okay then, let’s go”

We finished lecture for the day and headed home.

Natalie and Khloe offered to give me a ride and I wanted to decline their offer as usual but remembering my plan with Sam yesterday, I decided to go with them.

“Okay, I will go with you guys”

“Are you sure about this? I mean it’s fine if you don’t want to come with us” Khloe said

“Yeah, don’t come with us if you don’t want to” Natalie added

“We’re friends so it’s only right for you to know where I live. I don’t want it to be like I’m hiding things from you”

“We concluded you were hiding something from us long ago” Natalie confessed

“You see? Let’s just go home” I said and got into the car

After I got in, I inse-rted an ear bud into my ear skillfully without anyone of them getting suspicious and I covered it withy ear.

Samantha already thought me how to do it without her knowledge.

“Hey, Sam I’m coming over” I whispered audibly enough into the ear bud

“Alright, I will prepare right away” she replied and I focused on describing the way to her house to Khloe. Minutes later, we finally arrived at her house.

“Aubrey, a….re you sure this is the right house” Natalie stuttered looking like a lost puppy

“Yes. Why won’t I know where I live?”

“But you’re a nerd and somewhat poor girl, sorry to say, so how come you live in this big house?”

“Ohh…. I never knew that’s what you were saying. Well, I and my mom live with the people we work for. You must have heard of Mr. James, right?”

“There are many Mr. James in this world but there’s one I know of and that’s the governor of our state”

“You’re right. This is one of his mansions” I revealed leaving them in shock

They are this shocked already when I haven’t even said anything yet? What are they going to do when they find out I’m the President’s daughter? No, I don’t want to think about that yet.

“We will like to follow you in” Khloe said

“Yeah. We can’t miss this opportunity of entering our governor’s mansion” Natalie seconded

“O.. Kay” I stuttered

Khloe parked the car outside because we decided to go in on foot.

When we got to the sitting room, Samantha was seated on the chair chatting on her phone.

I just hope I don’t mess things up.

“Greet” Sam whispered into the earbud

“Good day young miss” I greeted bowing slightly

Samantha almost bursted into laughter but she was quick to caution herself.

“There’s nothing good about the day so keep your damn greeting to yourself” she said without sparing me a glance

I bowed down my head and wanted walking away with Khloe and Natalie when she stopped us.

“And where do you think you are going with them?” Sam asked walking up to us

“I…. I.. ” I stuttered not knowing what to say

“Take them out of this mansion and don’t you ever bring in a stranger here”

“I can’t do that”

“What?”

“Slap me” I whispered about 3 times to the earbud but Sam kept giving me the look that she couldn’t do it. I pleaded with my eyes and then she finally agreed

“They are my friends and I can’t just ask them to leave like that. Excuse me!” I said and wanted to walk away when she held me

She turned me to face her and gave me a resounding slap.

“Did you just talk to me like that?” she asked with a scoff while I held my cheeks

“Leave her alone” Khloe said trying to step in but I quickly shook my head

“Maybe some other time. I’m sorry but you have to leave now” I said to Khloe and Natalie

“Really? Fine then” Natalie said and walked out angrily and Khloe did the same after giving me a long stare.

I sighed in relieve when I discovered they were gone.

“That was such an act you put up Sam” I said and turned to face her but her head was bowed

“What’s wrong Sam?”

“I can’t believe I slapped you Aubrey. What kind of a friend am I?” she asked in tears

“S…Sam, you didn’t do anything wrong. I asked you to slap me and you did just that, you don’t have to feel bad okay?” I said trying to calm her down but it seems like it didn’t have any effect on her

“No Aubrey, I’m the worst friend in the universe. You asked me to slap you and I did, a good friend wouldn’t do that”

“You know that’s not true. Some friends will even give me more than a slap. Cheer up okay? I’m fine” I said trying to cheer her up

“Are you sure you’re fine?” she asked to be sure

“Absolutely”

“Alright then. I’m sorry for slapping you”

“It’s okay”

“Let’s go to your house then”

“Sure”
