Whenever she wanna say something that would make her anxious, nervous and worried, she would play music to the highest volume.

She played a music in her phone and increase the volume which only her, could hear.

“What’s that?” He asked, though she didn’t even hear him.

“I know you made a bet on me” She muttered, not even hearing the word she made her mouth say.

Jayden blinked his eyes.

“What? Who…Who told you?” He asked.

“Wait, that’s not when the right question. How did you find out? Do you know the dark secret behind the bet?” He asked.

Whitney looked at him. She didn’t even hear his questions and she was not bothered.

“I’m not trying to help you with your bet. I’m not stupid. Bedides, I can’t stoop so low to help you with your bet”

“Why did you do it then? Why did you help me?” He asked.

“Still, that’s not the right and first question. Do you know the dark secret about the bet?” He asked.

“About the fact I’m not Ricardo’s son and that John is his real son. Also, that my mission was to spill the truth if I didn’t date you? Do you know all this?” He thought.

“Do you know why I’m doing all this?” She asked and looked at him.

All she could hear was loud music.

“I’m doing this cause I wanna stay in WSU. I need to date you in order to stay in WSU for 100 days. I wanna stay more with Jade. She’s a friend indeed. I’ve grown this strong and bizarre bond for her. I’m very fond of her and Maureen. But once, I end things with you and once, the 100 days expires, I’ll have to leave. I’ll have to leave Jade and Maureen. That will surely be the most painful scenario in my life” She thought.

She tried to say all this but it couldn’t form out. It just stayed like a lump in her throat.

Whitney took her eyes to the other side and let a out a loud sigh

“Wait…Is she even listening to me?” He asked and looked at the earpiece.

“What are you even listening to?” He asked and took the other piece away from her ear.

He placed it into his ear and listened.

“Wow. Great song” He smiled and kept his hands on each side of the bench.

He drummed his fingers aa he listened. To him, music was life.

Well, that explains his undying love for latest headphones and top charting music.

Music would make him think, and unthink. Music would make him forget and remember. Music was his everyday thing. It was his life.

Right now, he has forgotten the real deal he has with Whitney and he found himself slowly drowning de-eper into the music and life, itself.

The music was really a lovely and sweet one that these two couldn’t help but smile though they were facing facing oppsosite direction.

It was gettung de-eper into the hearts already.

As Jayden kept drumming his fingers on the ne-ck, It mistakenly tou-ched Whitney’s hand.

They both batted their eyes nervous and slowly turned their heads.

Right now, Jayden’s hand is on hers and it giving this aura which is unexplanable plus the music which emits vibe, this strange feeling.

It was like an intense but a sweet staring competition.

The music suddenly came to an end but they couldn’t still take their eyes away.

Soon, they could feel their heart racing indifferently.

Whitney eyes finally gave a blink when she noticed Jayden’s face leaning closer to hers and his hand stretching towards the side of her face.
