Daniel’s POV

Where did those guys come from? I know I won’t be able to go to school this week.

Aubrey is definitely going to pay for this, I’m sure she planned with those guys to beat me up. But on a second thought, I don’t think that’s what happened.

The look on her face was that of surprise when the first guy came. If they planned it, she won’t have that look on her face.

Besides that, no one knew about my plans, not even Liam or Jayden so there’s no way Aubrey would have found out about it.

“Will you take it easy? Don’t you know it’s really painful?” I said to one of the nurses that were treating me.

“I’m sorry sir but I’m actually trying my best to be gentle with you”

“And your best is not enough! Everyone of you, just leave. Get out of my sight!” I screamed at them

“Yes sir” they answered shakily and started packing their equipments before turning to walk out of the room.

“A…… are you really leaving?” I asked them when I noticed the pain was increasing.

They turned back to give me the “are you okay?” look.

“I didn’t mean what I said so please don’t leave. It hurts”

They rolled their eyes and huff before coming back to me.

I just hope this is over soon. I will find those guys and deal with them mercilessly. In their next life, they would learn how to mind their business.

Min Seok’s POV

When I got home, I just collap-sed on the bed because my head was seriously spinning. I hope that girl is safe wherever she is.

Next Day

I got to school and eye searched that girl but I couldn’t find her. Maybe I shouldn’t have left yesterday, what if something happens to her?

No, no… I shouldn’t think that way.

I was about returning to cla-ss when I saw her walking slowly to cla-ss, there was a small cut on her li-ps.

I would have gone to ask her how she was doing but that will make her suspicious. I don’t want her to know I saved her.

I turned back and made my way to cla-ss.

When I got in, I noticed that guy wasn’t in school. Those guys probably dealt with him.

But I don’t know why he wanted to ra-pe that girl, she doesn’t look like someone that can hurt a fly.

Besides, I don’t think he should have tried to ra-pe her no matter what she had done to him.

That’s not my business anyway. Let me focus on my studies.

Aubrey’s POV

I didn’t want to come to school today but Samantha for-ced me. How am I supposed to face Daniel after what he did yesterday?

I haven’t even recovered from the ra-pe incident, I just hope things turn out well today.

“Hey Aubrey” Khloe called out to me when I got to cla-ss. I didn’t even know I was in cla-ss already because I was just walking absent mindedly.

I raised my head and scanned the cla-ss in search of Daniel but I didn’t see him or any of his friends. What a relief!

“Good morning Khloe” I greeted when I got to her

“Morning Aubrey. What happened to your li-ps?!” Khloe gasped

“That’s right, what happened? Besides, you don’t look bright” Natalie added

“It’s nothing, you guys don’t really have to worry”

“No, tell us what happened. You were perfectly fine yesterday before we went home” Khloe insisted

“Fine. Daniel tried to ra-pe me”

“What?!!! Which Daniel?” Natalie asked

“Liam’s friend of course”

“H… How? I mean, did something happen between you two?”

“No, he hasn’t even spoken to me before”

“Then, why…. ”

“I also don’t know”

“So you said he tried, does that mean he didn’t succeed” Natalie asked curiously

“Yes, he didn’t”

“Phew! Thank goodness” Natalie sighed in relief

“How did you escape from him then?”

“An anonymous guy came to save me. He was wearing mask so I didn’t really see his face. On the long run, some guys joined him” I concluded hastily.

I didn’t want to mention my bodyguards to them but on a second thought they might ask Daniel and if he says something contrary to what I told them, they will start suspecting me.

“Wow! You’re really lucky. So you have an anonymous helper! Is he a student of our school” Khloe questioned

“I’m not really sure but I think so. Only students of our school are usually in this place”

“Ohh…… ” Natalie mouthed

“Let’s go for devotion” I said changing the topic

Liam’s POV

Daniel isn’t in school today and he didn’t inform me or Jayden whether something came up.

I’m really worried because Daniel isn’t one to skip school without a tangible reason.

I tried his number when I got to school but he didn’t answer any of my calls. I will have to check up on him after school.

After school

“Liam, don’t you think we should check on Daniel to know why he wasn’t in school today?” Jayden said when we got to our cars.

“That’s where I’m headed to right now”

“Ohh… That’s nice then, let’s go together”

We both got into the car and drove off to Daniel’s house.

When we got to Daniel’s room, his face was covered with bruises and he couldn’t even stand.

“Daniel, what happened?” I asked rushing to him

“It’s a long story” he managed to say

“Then cut it short. I’m going to make whoever did this to you pay with their lives”

“I don’t know who they are. I wanted to ra-pe Aubrey yesterday when they suddenly attacked I and the guys I took with me.

They beat us mercilessly before taking Aubrey away” he explained

I felt a loud bang in my head when I heard Aubrey’s name.

“What did you just say?” I asked to be sure

“I don’t get you. I said I wanted to ra-pe ….. ”

“It’s okay! Why did you try to ra-pe someone we placed a bet on?”

“I don’t remember you asking me not to ra-pe her.” he answered nonchalantly

“Have we ever ra-pe d anyone we place a bet on?”

“No, and that’s because Aubrey is different from them. She’s always proving ha-rd to get. Don’t you remember how she spoke to you the last time you tried talking to her?”

“That’s none of your business. ra-ping her wasn’t part if the deal. Let’s just forget about that for now.

How are you feeling?”

“Better than yesterday”

“Sorry. Next time, don’t try to ra-pe a girl” Jayden said for the first time since we got there.

We chatted for a while before we decided to return home.

I wonder what feelings I’m developing for Aubrey.
