“Do you have a death wish?” Whitney murmured out, now glaring at his face.

“You do know your face is close to mine and there’s a 100 percent chance I could slap you hard, right?” She threatened.

“Not my face” Jayden took few steps backwards.

“I’m gonna kill you when next you touch me” She hissed and left

“Darn it!” He thought.

“C’mon. Just give me a slim chance. This week is ending really soon. Next tomorrow, I guess? How time flies” He sighed, frustratedly.

“You back?” Jade smiled, turning to her.

“Yup” Whitney nodded and slammed her back on the bed.

‘So, How’s family? Cause I basically missed you, truthfully”

“Fine. Fine. Sorry I couldn’t buy things for you on the way. I wasn’t really myself”

“Its fine. You okay now?”

“Well, I guess” Whitney shrugged.

“I was hearing voices outside. What’s up?” Jade looked at the table, and fli-pped the pages of the book she was reading.

“Jayden. He is very obnoxious, cunning and stupid” Whitney spat and Jade laughed.

Whitney sighed and laid down properly on her bed

“Jade?” Whitney called.

“Yes?” Jade turned.

“Remember what you said to me when we met…for the first time?”

“Hmm…Which statement exactly? Cause I remember telling you many different things” Jade stood up.

“You said you were gonna show me how true attachment felt like, in this short period of time…of my stay in WSU”

“Oh yeah. I remember. Why? Are you.

leaving WSU?” Jade gasped.

Whitney sighed de-eperly.

“I don’t even know. I’m confused. When I’m beginning to get attached to you, Mum is already planning to se-duce Jayden’s father and leave? Awwn…Maureen. How will she feel when I leave suddenly? This is why i don’t like making friends” Whitney thought, within.

“Gurlssss!!” Maureen squeaked and bursted herself abruptly into the room. Her sudden action made the roommates startle.

“Gosh! Maureen!!” Jade trembled.

“Fu-ck. My heart” Whitney muttered.

“Gosh. I’m sorry about that ladies” Maureen smiled and sat on the couch.

“What’s it?” Jade looked at her.

“What’s this? Don’t tell me you guys haven’t heard the latest news?” Maureen frowned.

Whitney exchanged glances with Jade.

“We haven’t heard it” They responded, simultaneously.

“Argh! Of course, You wouldn’t. I’m new here but my old friends don’t know the latest news” Maureen rolled her eyes.

“Just tell us about it already” Whitney said.

“Next tomorrow is the banger party!!” She squeaked.

“Oh” Whitney muttered.

“Okay” Jade nodded.

“What? Is that all you have to say?” Maureen asked, disappointed.

“I don’t know what else to say. The first and last time I went to some party was the worst mistake of my life. I might not go” Whitney said.

“I’m gonna go though. I’m not just hyped anymore” Jade smiled.

“You’d better go. This is the banger!! The banger party?! Its happening at the frat house! Hello???” Maureen said.

“I don’t care”

“C’mon. You gotta go. Its gonna be fun” Jade smiled.

“Hmm…Alright then” Whitney sighed.

“Yippee! Okay guys. See you later” Maureen smiled, standing up.

“Oh…before I forget. Does anyone know Natalie…No,,, Clark. Does anyone know Clark’s hostel and room?” asked Maureen.

“Upstairs. The first room by your left. Why asking of his room though? I thought you needed Natalie to be your roommate” Jade said.

Maureen giggled.

“Goodnight” She only said, and left.

“Maureennn” Whitney laughed.

A mid knock was heard at the door.

“Who’s that?” Jayden asked, from the bed.

He was scrolling throu-ghWhatsApp to see if he had any messages from Whitney, especially.

Desmond was already asleep while Clark was playing loud games on his phone.

“Sorry but is this Clark’s room?” A voice asked, from outside.

Clark turned his head.

“Go check it out” Jadyen beckoned.

Clark sighed, and dropped his phone, then went to the door.

“Yes. Who’s that?” He asked, before opening the door.

He saw Maureen wearing a big smile on her face after he did.

“Who…are you?” He asked, slowly.

“You’re Clark, right?” She asked.

“Yeah. How do you kn-

“I’m Maureen and I’m new here. I heard about you from my new friends, Jade and Whitney”

“Huh? Uh…Okay”

“Anyways, To what do I owe this…visit?” He asked.

“I missed you and wanted to see your face” Maureen swallowed these words down her throat.

“Hello?” Clark said, bringing her mind back.

“Huh…So, I was wondering if…if you knew Natalie’s room” She stuttered without realization.

“Yeah. Why asking?”

“Oh…So, he knows her room?” She thought.

“I want to see her and ask if she wants a roommate”

Clark smiled.

“Don’t bother. Natalie loves staying alone. Roommates aren’t her thing”

Maureen eyes blinked.

“I see you know a lot about her”

“Huh?”

“Isn’t she supposed to be your friend’s ex?” Maureen asked.

“I…don’t un-derstand” He whispered.

“To be sincere, didn’t come to ask you anything. I don’t even care about being her roommate anymore. I actually came to tell you something”

“Actually, I-

“Clark?” Someone cut them short.

Natalie was behind them.

“Natalie?” Clark muttered.
“Huh…Maureen? Can we talk later, please?”

“Okay then. See you” She waved, pa-ssed Natalie and left.

“What are you doing here?” Clark closed the door. written by sommy pearl f.

“I’ve thinking about it” Natalie said.

“About what?” Clark asked.

“Years back, that day at the airport-

Clark swallowed hard.

“I can’t help it. I’m still in love with Jayden and I want him back. So, I’m gonna tell him what truly happened that day. How you kis-sed me unexpectedly…”

“You really wanna tell him? He might hate us…especially me. I don’t want him to be provoked or agitated”

“I don’t care. You deserve it. Besides, some anonymous saw us, took a picture and sent it to Jayden. Why did even you kis-s me then?!” She scowled.

“Swears, I couldn’t help it. I liked you. I always did but I was late. Jayden took you first. Besides, I only kis-sed you when you ended things with him”

“You’re still in the wrong, Clark. Anyways, I’m planning to confess everything to him tomorrow at the Frat house tomorrow during The Banger party”

Clark sighed de-eperly.

“I hope you’ll be there to apologize to Jayden and me too .. and prove that I never kis-sed you. Goodnight” She said, and left.

Clark ru-bbed his teary eyes and finally went in.

“Who was that?” Jayden looked at him.

“Just…some pretty girl” Clark for-ced a smile and laid on his bed.
