” He’s chad ” I muttered under my breath.

” Chadwin , Chadwick I don’t care . what’s your relationship ? He asked angrily .

I knew he was controlling his anger , because he rubbed his neck as his beautiful eyes stared at me frowning.

“He could be my cousin Leon , why are you so protective ? I asked as my voice shook with hurt .

” I should get going” He said bringing out his car keys .”

” Leon ” I held his hand softly.

” I came all the way from Costa Rica to surprise you . What did I get in return ? Being called an over protective boyfriend and asked my reasons for not informing you of my arrival” He said walking towards the door.

” Chad is my Ex” I muttered under her breath ,but that didn’t seem to change anything.

” Your Ex ? Imani ” he asked and I bit my lower lip nervously.

” Sweet it’s not …” I trailed.

” Goodnight” He said making his way out of my apartment.

“Leon ” I called as tears rolled out of my eyes.

Whoever said dating a possessive man is easy ?

Relationship itself is not a bed of roses .

Knowing how short tempered Leon can be ,I decided to tell him the truth,but it didn’t help in anyway .

I could’ve gone after him if I wasn’t tired right now .

Tonight just made me realize how much lee and I need to work on our Egos .

Two wrongs can’t make a right .

Talking when he’s anger will only hurt him further .

The thing is I didn’t invite Chad over ,after I passed out in front of my bathroom ,he offered to help and even made dinner for me .

My phone rang and it was Chad . I picked up his call with a frown on my face .

” Chad ”

” How are you doing now ? Have you had dinner ? He asked in concern .

” Chad ..I’m sorry to say this . But this friendship stuff wouldn’t work between us ” I said in one go .

“Imani… calm down first ” he said with a chuckle.

” I’m not back in Capetown to try and be in a relationship with you ” he said camly and I rubbed my forehead.

” Chad …” I said feeling bad.

” I’m for real IMA” he said calling me by the nickname he loved when we were back in school.

” You hurt me when you called things off between us and trust me it took me years to get over the heartache ”

” Taking a holiday in Capetown ,is because I came to spend time with my mom and tell her my intentions to propose to my girlfriend Sia . ”

” I didn’t come back with an intentions of building a romantic relationship with you ” he said and I cursed under my breath.

” I’m sorry ” I said softly.

” It’s okay ,your boyfriend must love you a lot ,I’d go crazy if I meet my girlfriend’s Ex in her apartment , I trust Sia it’s the Ex I don’t trust ” he said and I bit my lower lip.

” We will be fine ” I said and he chuckled.

” I know,you should tell him about the pregnancy though ,I saw the stick when you fainted ” he said and I blushed red .

” Chad… ” I whinned in embarrassment.

” You’ll have a lot of explaining to do ,take care of yourself Imani .” He said and ended the call .

I stared at my wall clock and sighed softly.

Taking slow strides to my room ,I changed into thick clothes , and sneakers before walking out of apartment with my car keys and the some of the stuffs he came with earlier .

I couldn’t even drive ,my head banged with headache and I can’t call Tega she’d freak out on me because she warned me about seeing Chad .

Not like I invited him over ,the guy showed up in front of my door ,what was I supposed to do ?

Walk him out ? I wondered.

I ended up calling Zuri ,wrong choice because knowing my sister she would roast me to death .

As she Catwalked into my compound ,I started thinking of 101 escuses .

” Hey sis ”

” What’s up with you ? Why do you look like a curse they laid on someone ? She asked frowning.

” Seriously Zuri ? I asked frowning.

” Chill ”

” I’ve been waiting for 30 mins ” I said frowning.

” Unlike you baby girl ,I have a husband to attend to ,your boyfriend lives 8hours away , please spare me ” she said waving her car keys .

” Where exactly did you want me to drop you ? She asked waving her nails at my face .

” Leon’s place ” I said softly.

” Wait leon ? Is this another Leon or the Leon …I know? What has that Spanish guy got on you Sissy ? ” she asked teasingly.

” Don’t tell me you wanna go sniff his shirts or something ” she laughed.

” He’s in Capetown ” i muttered under my breath.

” Hahahahaha wait what ? You’re kidding me right ? She Asked with a chuckle.

” Nope he came all the way to suprise me ,only to find Chad at my place ” I said frowning.

” Chad ? Who’s Chad ? She asked staring at me .

” Don’t tell me you were two timing me ? I know I’ve been a bad elder sister but no man deserves to be two times ,well unless he’s greedy and abusive ” she said in one go .

” Zuri ”

” I didn’t dim you as someone who will hurt Leon ”

” Zuri …” I tried to explain.

” You did wrong sissy” she went on and on .

Why did I invite her over again ?

” Chad my ex . ” I said interuppting her flow .

” Chad ? You mean the Stanford Chad ? What were you thinking ? She asked.

” It’s a long story,but I don’t need you scolding me right now ,I have a lot on my mind ”

” Just drive me to Leon’s” I said and her eyes softened in my direction.

” Fine ,I got you ” she said waving her car keys .

Immediately I got in the passengers seat ,I leaned my back and sighed softly.

The ride to his place was quiet ,well not untill she started jamming to Burna boys ” For my hand ” an Afro beat song featuring Ed Sheeran.

Well at first everyone felt it will come out bad ,not until it came out and a lot of people started vibing to it .

“Thanks sis ” I said getting the stuffs I brought with me .

” You have a lot of explaining to give to mom baby girl ” she said and I bit my lower lip as my eyes stung.

” Is that obvious ” I asked rubbing my arms .

” Nope ,she’s an African mother ,she might notice it though. If you’re not careful,but I saw the stick in your purse . You didn’t do a good job at hidding it when you brought out your phone” she said and I wiped my tears .

” Hey what’s wrong ? She asked as I cried .

” I’m so scared Zuri ,I’m not ready to be a mother that too before marriage,mom would kill me ”

” They’ll be so disappointed in me …I just ” I trailed crying.

” Hey look at me Imani .you are not a child ,you’re a full grown adult . Fine you got pregnant it’s not the end of the world ,Leon loves you there is nothing to be scared about .

” No one is ever ready to be a mother dear ” she said kissing my forehead.

” Thanks Zuri ” I said sniffing back tears and she pulled me into a hug as I felt her tears on my neck .

We stayed like that for sometime before she went into her car and drove off .

” Welcome miss Imani ” they welcomed me into the mansion.

” Is your Boss inside ? I asked one of the guys .

” Yes ma’am ” he answered camly .

” Thanks” I said taking long strides towards the stairs .

He beat me to it because I saw him strolling down .

Clad in nothing but a ripped jeans pants with the zip down showing off his expensive shorts .

His belt was undone and he stared at me in amusement.

” Hey ” I muttered under my breath as I stared at him .

” Fvck ” he cursed under his breath making me smile .

Leon isn’t the type to curse but when he does it’s fvcking hot .

” I scared you , right ? ” He asked walking towards me .

“I shouldn’t have said what I said ..I was not in the right frame of mind ” I said.

” I’m sorry ” we both said in unison.

” You came ? He asked staring at my outfit.

” I couldn’t rest lee ,you left my place in anger ”i said and he kissed my forehead.

” I was pissed off ,but that doesn’t justify my actions ,two wrongs cannot make a right . I’m sorry ” he said and I smiled.

” Chad has a girlfriend ” I said fighting my smile .

” I don’t care about Chadwick , chadwin whatever his name is ” he said and I chuckled.

” You look sick .” He said in concern.

” I’m fine ,I’m just hungry ” I said and he kissed my lips softly.

” What do you wanna eat ? He asked and I stared at him .

” Anything”

” Anything at your service baby girl ” he said making me laugh.

I watched him cook and throughout the time he moved around cooking ,I stared at how sexy he looked.

I can’t believe I created a life with this guy .

Thinking about this makes my heart flutter and my eyes stung with tears as I smiled.

He turned to me and shook his butts in my direction making me laugh.

We ate dinner together after which we watched movies in his room together.

My jaws literally dropped when my boyfriend suggested we could see a movie together.

Seriously ?

He’s someone that doesn’t waste his time ,he prefers sitting with his laptop to work than watch movies .

Time is money ,he would always quote .

After the movie ,I slept off tiredly .

I could feel him take off my sneakers and tuck me into the bed .

” Goodnight mi Cielo” he whispered softly.

” Goodnight Sweet” I said smiling.

The next morning ,I was still fast asleep when I persived the fresh smell of breakfast , making me open my eyes almost immediately .

” Good morning Baby” he said smiling in my direction.

” You are up already ? I asked and he chuckled.

” I’ve been awake for close to an hour now ,I figured you needed to rest ” he said and I gave a nod.

” Come join me ” i said as he set the tray in front of me .

” You’re not eating ? I asked with a chuckle.

” Go on ” he gestured towards the tray and I smiled.

I opened the plates and smiled.

” Awwwwwwwwn ” I cooed and he laughed .

We talked about random stuffs as I ate with a smile on my face .

” What’s in there ? I asked staring at the other beautiful plate that was covered .

” I don’t know” he said and I raised my eyebrows at the naughty smile on his face .

” You this guy …” I said pointing my fingers are him ,I raised the cover of the plate curiously and froze .

Silence filled the room as I stared at the beautiful diamond ring ,still in it’s pack but open .

” what ….” I trailed in shock as my heart beat crazily against my chest .

“Imani ..I’m really not good with romantic words ,I’ve tried to think of words to say to you that will prove how badly I want to settle down with you as my wife , but it all boils down to the fact that I want you ”

” I love you Imani , I want you to be the mother of my kids ,I know relationship with me has not been easy considering I come with a lot …” He trailed making me laugh out tears .

” But let me be the man you want . I wanna be the man that makes you happy . I wanna walk hand in hand with you on this journey of life ”

” Will you marry me ? He Asked and tears rolled out of my eyes .

” Yes …fvck yes oh my goodness” I said Makin him heive a sigh of relief.

” You scared me Angel ” he said after putting the ring on my finger.

I’ve never liked mornings, but this happens to be the best morning of my life .
