” You have refused to call me or text me ,What love portion has the Spanish guy given to you !” Mom asked on the other end and I rubbed my neck nervously.

” Iya ….” I whinned.

” Don’t Iya me , Ayomi when last did you call me ? She asked and I bit my lower lip at her African accent .

” Mom I’ve been busy with work ” I lied immediately.

” Ah Oluwa oh . You are too busy to call your own mother ? She asked dramatically.

” Mom …it’s not like that ” I stuttered out.

” Ah what a life ,Iya Zuri Imani would soon beat me in this house ” she said and I can imagine Dad shaking his head at her drama .

Mom can be really dramatic, I’ve missed her , and it’s not like I was not planning to call her ,I was planning to call her ,but I just didn’t get the chance.

Okay maybe that’s a silly escuse from my end.

” I’m sorry ” I muttered under my breath.

” You better be sorry . My birthday is next month . If you like bring up another escuse as to why you can’t attend . Your grand father’s brother passed away early this morning ” she said and I gasped .

” Oh my goodness ,how is the family taking it ? I asked frowning.

” How would they take it ? He died as the oldest man in the community , we are taking it exactly the way we should be taking it .” Mom said and I chuckled.

“Iya I’m sure there are still people who didn’t want him to die ” I said and she scoffed.

” Dear even he himself, wanted to join his ancestors . He kept telling everyone that he wanted to die ” she said calmly .

” How old was he ? I asked .

” 120 years old ” she said and I gasped .

” Indeed he lived a long life ” I said and she Chuckled.

” We all would go to Nigeria for the funeral , whenever the date is finalized . ” She said and I gave a nod.

” How is your Boyfriend ? She asked and knowing my African mother , I made sure not to talk more than my mouth ,before she start asking if I’m still a virgin.

My mom can be so dramatic sometimes ,even Zuri and her husband hid the fact that day where doing it before marriage ,not that he was her first or something , but mom is so old fashioned when it come to that .

” Take good care of yourself and make sure you don’t go about eating cold food” she said and I laughed.

“Iya” I called softly.

” Don’t say iya ,those their foods that don’t have pepper ” she said.

We talked about random stuffs before she ended the call.

” Hey mi cielo” { my heaven } He said hugging me from behind as he dropped the shopping bags on the table.

” Boo boo 🥰” I said pinching his cheeks playfully.

” Seriously ? He asked laughing and I joined him .

” I’ll just make dinner now ” I said and he shook his head .

” Nope ,you are gonna sit down like the princess that you are ,while I cook ” he said and I smiled .

” Go and rest ,while I make dinner ”

His phone rang and I walked out escusing.

When I got back he was vibrating Angrily on the call .

” Vince there’s no way I’m talking to Dad about this again . Let Erduardo handle him . If he insists on the deal with Camila’s father ,then he’ll have to kill me first ” he said and I froze on the spot .

Kill him ?

Why is he and his Dad gonna kill each other .

Immediately he noticed my presence he changed the topic.

I forced a smile as he ended the call with Vincenzo , Walked over to me and kissed my forehead .

I watched him Walk towards the kitchen as I sighed softly.

He’s not gonna open up to me and that’s what’s hurting me .

He rolled up his sleeves as he went about his business in the kitchen ,I decided to join him .

I smiled as he smiled at me .

I’m going to be patient , whatever it is that’s bordering him ,I’m sure he’ll open when he’s ready .

I scrolled through my phone taking pictures of him and he chuckled at my craziness.

” My Billionaire chef ” i teased spanking his butts and he laughed.

After cooking ,he had an apron around his waist as he served the dishes on a beautiful mat close to the pool with candle lights .

A cozy yet romantic date .

” This is so beautiful ” I clapped my hands excitedly.

” I knew you would love it ” he said removing the buttons of his sleeves.

I bit my lower lip as my eyes moved over his chest .

” Eyes up here babe ” he said teasingly and I chuckled.

We sat down together and his eyes moved over to my dress .

” Hope you didn’t go out in that dress ? He asked and I burst into laughter.

” What if I did ? I asked and he drank from the glass of water .

We talked about random stuffs as we ate dinner .

” Mom is back by the way ” he said and I clapped excitedly.

” Really ? I can’t wait to meet her then ” I said and he smiled.

” I’m sure she’s as excited as you are ” he said and I smiled .

After dinner ,I screamed Excitedly as it started to rain .

” Fvck ” he cursed and stared down at the plates and the candles that blew off .

” Romantic date done wrong ” I teased and got up .

” You naughty girl ” he said and I burst out laughing .

He got up and tried to grab me and I moved to the other end .

He tried chasing after me and fell into the pull .

“Hahahahaha !”I laughed pointing him at him .

I noticed the rain had drenched me from head to toe , making my dress hug me like a second skin .

” Come here ” he beckoned on me as he balanced his hands on the slab .

I got into the pool slowly with a smirk on my face .

I swam over to him and my heart pounded against my chest crazily.

I’ve done a lot of sexual stuffs with Leon but Everytime he even looks at me ,it’s like I’m new to all of this.

He moved close as his lips met with my neck .

I shut my eyes as my lips parted slightly.

He kept his head on my forehead and I blushed red as our eyes met .

He lifted my dress slightly and I gasped .

” Who said it’s only done in the room ? ” He asked and my mind went to the different places we have done it so far and I blushed red .

” Let’s not talk about this anymore before we get into a fight ,I think I should move In with your mom instead , since you have refused to use protection” she said ,got up and wore her room slippers.

” Goodnight” she said and left the room .

I sat down on the bed for sometime before going out after her .

She was sitted alone in the sitting room and scrolling through her phone.

We went to bed together ,early the next morning , I heard noise downstairs which woke me up immediately.

I Stared at the corner of my bed and Imani wasn’t there .

Wearing my room slippers ,I got out of the room .

I stopped on my track when my eyes met Dad and a teary eyed Imani .

” Figlio {son } ” he said smirking.

” Babe ” I tried to go close to her and she seem too Quiet for my liking.

” What’s going on here ? I asked immediately.

” It’s nothing ” she said looking over to me .

But I know my girlfriend too well to know something was up .

Her eyes had unshed tears ,she looked so hurt ,I felt scared .

She walked passed me and straight upstairs.

” Dad what did you say to Imani ? I asked and he chuckled softly.

” Told her what she needed to know son . You are getting married to Camila and she has no place in the familia ” he said and my whole world came crashing down .

I rubbed my forehead as I went upstairs .

” Mi Reina { my Queen } ” I called walking close to her .

” Really Leonardo ? She asked softly.

” Imani I …”

” I’m too tired to listen to whatever you have to say , please let me be ” she said calmly as she went untop of the bed and tears rolled outta her eyes slowly.

” Imani it’s not what you think …” I trailed softly.

” Get out ” she snapped calmly.

I sighed and walked out of the door ,I could hear the sound of her sobs just outside the door.
