“Wow. Is this your room? I like it” Maureen smiled, looking around.

“You’ve gotten a new room, right?” Jade asked, sitting on the small couch.

“Yeah. This same hostel. But no roommate yet. I’m still looking for one” Maureen smiled and sat down.

“Can’t you live alone?” Asked Whitney.

“I wish. I hate living alone. There are also lots of benefits when you have a roommate” Maureen said.

“You’re right” Jade nodded.

She took out her books, sat on her chair and started going throu-ghwhat they learned that day.

“This is life” Maureen said, and sprawled on Jade’s bed.

She looked at the ceiling and smiled, remembering Clark’s face.

“Clark…” She muttered.

Whitney walked into the bathroom and took her toothbrush from the container.

She took the toothpaste and applied its content on the bristles.

She soon started brushing her teeth while fixing her eyes on the mirror.

She was staring at her mouth. Seeing her li-ps right now made her remember something weird.

“Something is popping up. Maybe the event of last night?” She thought, looking at her red li-ps.

A clear picture of the kis-s scene between her and Desmond rushed into her mind and this made her li-ps part, suddenly in shock.

“Wait? What…What was… Why…Who…What kinda memory was that?? Was that mine?” She asked herself, bulging her eyes out.

“Hey…Whitey? Have…have you gone nuts?? That was your first kis-s?!!” She screamed.

“Ahhhhhhhh!!!” Her voice came again louder than before after recollecting the whole drama she had with Desmond.

“What’s wrong with her?” Maureen sprang on her feet.

“Whitney? You okay in there?” Jade knocked.

Whitney was breathing heavily. She swept her hair down with her palm and nodded.

“Yes…I’m fine” She answered.

FANCY RESTAURANT**

“What do you wanna talk about?” Jayden asked carefully, looking at the table between them which had burgers and canned drinks.

“I wanna elaborate more, base on the reason I left you” She replied.

He scoffed.

“After 3 years? You wanna elaborate more,,, now??”

Natalie sighed. “Please, just listen. Why I left was…because of my Dad. Something happened to him. No,,, Us. Something happened to all of us in that family then”

“Then, you could have talked to me about it. Tell me now,,, Let me hear it”

Natalie swallowed hard.

“Actually, My dad was going to a business trip to Beijing, China, to stand as one of the representative of his company”

“But,,, they found ha-rd drugs in my dad’s briefcase when he landed in China” Natalie continued.

“What? How? Your father…He can’t. Was it a mistake or something?” Jayden asked, not believing his ears.

Natalie nodded.

“Yes. It was a mistake. My father kinda took somebody’s else briefcase and someone took him. You wouldn’t blame him though. It looked alike and the briefcase were close to each other”

“So, When my mother heard my father got arrested in China, she ran helter skelter for help but none of the company workers listened to her. Even the heartless CEO himself. They thought he was guilty”

Jayden eyes blinked, sadly.

“So,,, What happened next?” He asked.

“My mother decided to go to China to fight for him. She believed my father wouldn’t do that. I was scared and couldn’t watch my nother live alone so I followed her. I also missed my father. He stayed there for weeks” Natalie said, trying ha-rd not for cry.

“Why…didn’t you tell me all this? Maybe,, I would have un-derstood you. Maybe, I wouldn’t have hated you. Maybe, I would still be in love with you. Maybe, I wouldn’t be a bad boy or something”

“I’m sorry. I was scared to tell you. I didn’t want you getting worried. I didn’t want to discomfort you in your first year. I feared people might know about it too about it and detest me. How would you feel if you saw news and headlines talking about you and I, a girl whom her father is a drug dealer. I couldn’t soil your name in dirt. Especially when your father was trying to get into politics” She answered.

He sighed.

“What about your father now?”

“After thorou-ghinvestigations, we got to the root of it. My father was actually innocent. It took years though, and lots of money. The private detective we hired almost gave up. I also schooled there” She smiled.

Jayden nodded.

“I’m glad everything got resolved. So,, You’re really back?” He asked.

“Yeah. Finally” She nodded.

Jayden nodded.

“Jayden?” She called, softly, breaking the silence.

“Hmm?” He looked at her.

Natalie slowly held his hands which were on the table.

“I…still like you. I want you back. Stop being a play boy. We can have another chance, right?” She asked, slowly.

“I’m now a playboy. A baddie…thanks to you”

“But,,, It’s not really my fault”

“No. Its your fault. Let’s face the truth. Let’s say I forgive and forget what you did to me…Now, It’s no longer your fault. okay?”

Natalie breathed de-eperly.

“What about this? Is it your fault or you still have an explanation for this?” He asked, using his phone.

He clic-ked on the photo app and searched for his oldest picture.

“Who’s he?” He asked coldly and dropped the phone on the table.

She looked at it and he eyes suddenly wide-ned.

In the picture was her, kis-sing some guy.

The camera was not in a better and right angle so the guy’s face was concealed and blurry.

“Now…This kis-s scene happened during the day you went to the airport. Who’s that guy?” He asked.

“Jay…den?” She stuttered.

“Who’s he!!”

Natalie swallowed in fear.
“Who…sent that to you?”

He scoffed.

“I wish I knew cause if I see the person now. I’ll be thankful forever. It was sent by an anonymous if you really wanna know”

“So,,, Natalie. Who’s this guy..This guy you kis-sed that day you broke up with me…That same day at the airport. Who’s he?”

Natalie could only blink her eyed in a fast manner. She was so anxious.

Whitney had been sighing numerously that even Jade could tired and disturbed.

She couldn’t get the fact that she lost her first kis-s when she was drunk and to someone she had no regard for.

“What’s on your mind?” Jade asked.

Maureen, on the other hand, had left already to her room.

“Nothing” Whitney replied and bit her lower li-p gently.

“By the way, Tomorrow is Saturday. Dinner with Mum and Liam” Whitney smiled. written by sommy pearl f.

JAYDEN’S ROOM**

Jayden stalked the facebook user profile that had sent that picture years back.

The kis-s picture between Natalie and the unknown guy.

After she broke up and left him, that same night, while Jayden was crying his eyes out, he received a message via his fb messenger.

He thought it was Natalie and checked it. However, It was a message from an unknown person who wasn’t even in his friend list.

It was the picture which exp-osed Natalie. He was shocked to the core. He messaged the sender countless time but he was ignored, and left on seen.

“Who are you, anonymous?” He thought.

There was no friends, profile info, profile pic and the user name was simply ‘Green Shadow’
