She stopped me ,just when I thought things could go further .

My blood ran south as I stared at her in disbelief.

” Imani don’t do this ” I said staring into her eyes.

” I can’t sleep with you ,you’re my boss ” she said immediately.

” Seriously ,can’t
see that I like you ,I don’t fvcking care about that Boss employee rubbish ! I yelled angrily.

Wasn’t it obvious that I had a crush on her ? Do I have to spell things out before she understands me.

” Well I care ,I can’t sleep with you without my emotions getting involved Leonardo . Guys like you don’t want anything serious ,you just want fun . I don’t want fun “She said her voice breaking at the edge.

She hit home because I ran my fingers In my hair out of frustration.

She got out of the pool and I stared at her hurry out of sight and into the house .

I pinched the bridge of my nose and decided to swim for a while to calm my nerves .

Getting out of the pool ,I walked into the house just to see her drying her hair with a towel .

“I burrowed your shirt ” she said Calmly.

” I can see that ” I said staring at her with a frown .

” Leon I’m sorry ” she said hugging herself calmly .

” You should be sorry Imani , because you hurt me . ” I said and looked away .

” I didn’t hurt you ,I only said my mind . ” She said and I bit my lower lip .

” Saying your mind in that manner ? Are we going to pretend like I’m the only one who feels this tension ? ” I said pointing between the both of us.

” I don’t want to talk about this ” she said looking away.

” Fine ,I’m not going to force you either ” i said and made my way into the bathroom.

Women , I don’t even understand them .

One minute she wants me too and the next thing she makes it seem like I’m out to f*ck and dump her .

She wants stability Leonardo , something you can’t give her” my mind mocked .

I know I keep tagging what I feel for her as lust ,but deep down I know I like her , maybe too much considering our contract but I can’t help it .

When I walked back to the bedroom ,she was fast asleep on the bed covering herself with the sheets .

I joined her on the bed and faced the opposite direction as I closed my eyes to sleep.

The next morning ,the smell of breakfast hit my nostrils and I couldn’t help but wake up.

I stared at the other side of the bed and she wasn’t there .

This girl won’t be the death of me ,I got down from the bed .

Wore my room slippers and walked towards the kitchen .

My phone rang and I frowned at the caller ID it was my cousin Vincenzo ,my facial expressions softened when I noticed it was Vince and not someone else.

” Good morning Delgado” I said immediately I picked up and he laughed.

” What’s with you and Duardo acting so stuck up this morning ? He asked in his usual calm manner.

That’s one thing about Delgado’s the silence before the storm .

” Did you call me this morning to talk about my step brother ? I asked with my other hand tucked in the pocket of my sweat pants.

” I didn’t call to talk about Duardo though , I just wanted to check up on you . I heard what happened at your Madre’s party . It’s high time you guys start learning how to tolerate each other ” he said and I can imagine the disapproving look in his face .

” Erduardo started it …” I said immediately.

” You don’t want to be a part of the familia Leonardo and we have all respected the fact that you want to keep your hands clean ,but irrespective of the fact that you guys are age mates ,he is next inline to your Padre ,you should not punch him like that in public , it’s a disgrace to the underground business.” He said Angrily.

” He deserves every bit of the punch I gave him and I don’t regret it ” I said in equal anger .

” I heard you have a woman now , it’s high time you bury the hatchet with Erduardo ” he adviced.

” A guy that stabbed me in the back ? Wait is this what family is all about ? He hurt me and no one seems to be understanding that ! ” I bursted angrily.

” Because it’s not worth it ,I’m sorry if I sound mean right now but Eduardo doesn’t do things for no reasons . Your Ex wasn’t innocent as you perceived her to be anyways . She was probably trying to catch two fishes at a time and lost both . That doesn’t justify his actions in anyway ” he said Calmly.

” You know what Enzo , Eduardo and I can never be good . ” I said meaning every single word of it.

” And tell him to stay away from my girlfriend , I trust Imani and I know she will never fall for the likes of him . But with his dangerous lifestyle ,I don’t want anyone hurting her to get to him ,I will not take it ” I said meaning every word of it .

” You sound so inlove with this woman ,don’t you think it’s high time we get acquainted ? He asked and I pinched the bridge of my nose .

” Have a nice day ahead cousin ” I said and he laughed.

” You are whipped Hermano” he laughed.

After the call with Vincenzo,I walked into the kitchen ,just to see her dancing to a song on her phone with lyrics that had me raising my eyebrows.

My eyes moved to the way she moved her tiny waist to the Rythm .

My shirt on her body did things to me .

She seemed to have noticed I was behind her cause she turned around and smiled brightly.

I stood there staring at her with my heart pounding against my chest .

Her eyes moved to my shirtless state and she froze .

” Good morning ” I greeted and her eyes trailed from my neck go the waist band of my sweat pants to my face .

” good morning …” She Stuttered out in shock .

” I can see you are enjoying the music ” I said and she blushed red .

” Yea ,it’s my favorite from the made in Lagos Album ”

” There’s Blessed too ” she said smiling.

” You seem to like the Artist ” i said and she Chuckled.

” I love Afro beats songs , Wizkid is lovely , he is a Nigerian afro beat singer ” she went on and on telling me about his songs .

” The lyrics are dirty ,I didn’t see you as someone who …” I trailed and she raised her eyebrows.

” I’m an adult” she said and I chuckled.

” Agreed ” i said laughing.

” You turn all red at the mention of sex , innocent Adult ” I said and she opened and closed her mouth like a fish .

” I am not innocent ” she said and I laughed.

” Says someone that freaked out on me last night ” I said and she blushed red .

” Lee. ..” she said frowning

” Lee ? I think I like this new nickname of yours ” I said controlling my eyes from moving to her behind .

“This smells nice ” I said and she Chuckled.

” I think you will like it ,it’s my mom’s secret pancake recipe ” she said and I kissed her cheeks from behind .

She turned around and I packed her lips with a chuckle.

” Lee ..” she trailed and her phone rang cutting her short .

” Zuri ? I said with my eyebrows raised .

Isn’t that her energetic older sister.

She picked the video call and I decided to check on the breakfast.

” Hey sis” she greeted .

” her baby girl ,oh is that the Spanish guys shirt ? Good heavens ,my innocent sister is turning into a dirty saint ” she said and Imani blushed red .

” Zuri…” She trailed .

” Wait let me talk . So how was the first time ? Tell me it was worth it ,did it hurt ? My first time hurt and it’s bound to hurt considering the fact that he looks like he packs it down there ”

Jesus ” I turned to her and she looked like the ground should open and swallow her .

“Do you have a favorite position already ? Don’t be a boring girlfriend okay ? Give him a ride . Make sure he can’t get enough ” she went on and on about the bedroom matters .

” Sis he’s hearing you ! ” She said in horror .

” Ah even better ,so just in case you forget ,he will remind you ” she said and I laughed out loud. .

‘” good morning Zuri ” I waved at her .

” Hey hot Spanish boyfriend ” she said excitedly.

” I hope my sister has not started with her virgin Mary activities ” she asked raising a eyebrow and Imani blushed red .

” We are not in a rush ” I said biting my lower lip to stop myself from laughing.

” You are such a gentleman , be a good girl Imani ,I’ll call you later ” and just like that the call went dead .

” Virgin Mary ” I muttered under my breath as I laughed hard .

She slapped my arm whilst glaring at me .

” Ouch ” I groaned .

” Enjoy it ” she scolded .

” What have I done ? Virgin Mary ‘ I teased and she slapped my arm again.

” Your hands are so soft but painful when they hit me ” I said and she slapped my arm again .

I walked close Making her back touch the wall .

” This is boyfriend abuse ” I said and she tried to push me backwards.

I bent towards her lips and she closed her eyes .

I was so close to tasting those rose petals again but I stopped myself.

” Fvck ” I cursed under my breath as I let her go .

He stopped himself ,I stared at him run his fingers in his hair.

As he moved backwards , creating space between us .

I’ll be waiting ” he said and walked out of the kitchen.

My heart beat against my chest as I blushed .

I like Leonardo so much and heavens no he makes me want to do a lot of sinful things when we are not even Married .

This is supposed to be a fake relationship but a few minutes ago ,I would have responded to his kisses if he had kissed me .

Which is super crazy , I don’t even know what’s wrong with me .

I set the table and breakfast went silently , we didn’t talk to each other and the whole thing felt really akwared.

He got a phone call and walked away from the breakfast table and I stared at his retreating figure then the food on the table.

How do I avoid how I feel about this guy ? Seeing him walk shirtless into the kitchen had me thinking of naughty Things.

And now we aren’t talking again .

” You hurt him ” my mind mocked.

We went back to the main house after which he went out .

” Where is your Boyfriend ? His mom asked as her eyes met mine.

She seemed to just be coming back from where she went .

” He went out ” I said and she raised her eyebrows.

” Did you guys sleep outside ? She asked teasingly.

” Yes ” i said blushing and she squiled.

” Wow ,at the rate at which you both are going with this ..I should be expecting a grandchild very soon ‘ she said and I blushed red .

Jesus ” I muttered under my breath.

” What has Jesus got to do with this ? Did you call Jesus when you where both doing it ? She asked and I heard someone laugh crazily from behind us .

” Ma …” I trailed .

” Or don’t you think I know why you guys slept out yesterday ?

” Don’t tell me you guys use condoms ” she said and I felt like fainting that instant.
