The worse thing was ,he didn’t say a word .

Just pretended the whole time like I wasn’t talking to him .

” Imani right ? I’m Adonis stravakos” the other good-looking guy said as he shook my hand.

” Nice to meet you Adonis ” I said smiling and he gave a nod politely.

” Imani sweetheart ” Scarlet said kissing my forehead.

” Hey baby brother” she teased as she pulled his cheeks playfully.

” Stop it scar ” he said and she stopped immediately and stared in our direction , Pierre raised his shoulders as a sign of having no idea .

” Happy birthday Aunty ,what a pleasant surprise ‘Someone said and the media started taking pictures of her in her very short black dress as she hugged his mom and have her gifts .

” You are looking as gorgeous as always ” she said smiling .

Erduardo took a glass from the waiter and drank as if he was enjoying the whole show.

What in heavens name is going on here .

” Who invited the b*tch ? Scar asked Leonardo.

” How would I know ? He said without looking in their direction.

” Is everything okay ? I asked Pierre.

” Not with Layla here ,she’s a very dramatic human being manipulative .” He whispered to me with a frown on his face .

I think I met my gossip partner .

” She’s Leon’s Ex right ? I asked suddenly feeling jealous.

I mean who wouldn’t be ,they actually dated . She’s very beautiful,fair skin oval face ,pointed nose and tall .

She had curves in the right places.

” They broke up Imani , she’s not worth it ” he said as if understanding my plight .

I looked at Leon who stared at me .

I walked over to him and held his hand in mine.

” Have you had dinner ? I asked and he raised his eyebrows.

” I thought you were angry a while ago ? He asked and I gave a nod .

” I’m still angry ,but we are not going to wash our dirty linens in public” i said and he kissed my forehead then my cheek as I blushed .

” Hey guyyyyyyyys” the Layla girl said as she walked over to us .

” Leon baby ..” she said and kissed both side of his cheek In front of me as if she did not notice a woman in his presence .

Interesting so she’s pretending like I’m not here ,good one .

” Hey three musketeers ” she said and winked at his friends.

” Scar ..” she called .

” Avoid me Layla ” Scar said and walked away from us .

The whole thing was classy no one in the party knew what was going on low key .

” Treasure I think we should go find something to eat ” I Whispered in his ear playfully but it was loud enough for her to hear .

Her eyes widened in my direction as she raised her eyebrows.

” Leon …you ‘

“Layla meet my girlfriend . Mi Cielo this is Layla ..we used to date in the past ” he said stressing the past word.

” Oh so you’re the new girl ,sorry I snubbed you earlier ” she said Smirked.

” Snub ? I didn’t even notice you honey . We just met ” I said calmly and Pierre snickered next to me .

” Right” she said faking a smile .

” Good to see you Leon ” she said turning her attention to Leon who was now scrolling through his phone.

She walked away angrily and I couldn’t help but wonder how and why he dated someone like her

It’s out of my imagination .

” What do you want to eat babe ? He asked with concern and I smiled.

” Anything you want to eat ” I said and he chuckled as we went over to the buffet together.

” Let me serve you my lady” he said and I blushed red as he took a clean plate from the server .

I laughed as he played the perfect gentleman .

There is just something interesting about this man when he is in a good mood.

Just after his mom cut the cake ,the media went crazy with taking pictures as a man arrived with another woman in his arms .

She looked around his mother’s age and her looks featured Asian .

The older man looked like an older version of Leonardo.

One wouldn’t need a word to know that was his father.

The man looked intimidating with his white hair and beards.

His features looked older but his body didn’t seem to age that much he could pass for his older brother.

Leon stiffened Besides me and he looked angry.

I rubbed his arm to help him calm down .

Scarlett seem to notice he was furious so she walked over to us .

” Avoid him Leon please avoid him ” she said touching his arms.

” I should avoid him ? Are you even listening to yourself ? He brought his mistress to Madre’s party Dammit ! ” He cursed under his breath.

” As if Erduardo wasn’t enough insult ,he had to come with his mother to try and hurt mom ?” He asked and I’ve never seen him so Angry.

Why Is their family so complicated .

They walked over to his mom and I watched as they other woman greeted his mom politely who forced a smile.

” Happy birthday Bella ” he said to his mom kissing both sides of her cheeks as she glared at him classily.

” You’re out of your mind Sebastiano ” she spat in disdain .

” Happy birthday ” his mistress said smiling and his mom stared at her as if she was nothing.

Okay this getting dramatic.

” Get you and your mistress out of my party sabastiano ” she said angrily.

” Don’t be Ridiculous” his Dad said and Leonardo matched closer to them .

” You heard her Dad ” he said and his father’s eyes moved from his son to me .

” The least you could have done is respect me figlio ” he said ignoring me .

” I Respect you Padre ,but her presence is causing hurt to my mom and I think she should leave” he said calmly .

” You make it sound like she is an inanimate object Leonardo ,that’s my Madre your talking to ” Erduardo said angrily and now it was becoming obvious to everyone in the party that something was happening.

” Cut it out ” Scarlett said softly.

” Don’t tempt me Erduardo ” Leon said and I stared in confusion.

” I’ve never listened to you and it’s not going to start now ,you of all people should know that ! ” Erduardo said and like a flash of light leon punched him .

He smirked and laughed as drips of blood escaped his lips.

They cursed at each other in Spanish and Scarlett screamed at the both of them angrily .

The media was going crazy with taking pics and videos of every bit of drama .

He punched Eduardo again and I screamed as I went inbetween .

” Treasure ,look at me it’s okay …it’s okayyyyyyy ” I said and he stared at them before rushing out of the venue .

I ran after him anxiously .

” Leonardo ”

” Leon ”

“Leo please wait ” I stopped on my tracks as he stopped and turned to me .

” Go back inside ” he spat angrily.

“I’m not leaving you ” I said and he ran his fingers in his hair .

” I said f*cking go back inside” he yelled at me and my eyes stung as I cried .

” I’m not leaving you ,I want to stay …”

” I’ll always stay leon ,just let me stay ” I said as tears rolled out of my eyes .

He took heavy strides towards me and I froze on the spot as his lips met mine in a kiss .

I froze with my eyes wide open.
