” So when are you guys leaving ? Mom asked as i ate lunch with her in her resturant .

” This evening Iya , his going to send his driver to pick me up ” I said and noticed her smiling at me sadly.

” Is everything okay Iya ? I asked and she shook her head but I noticed she was looking very emotional at the moment.

” I’m really suprised at how fast you have grown up ,I mean you have never left capetown before ..” she trailed .

” I’ve been to Nigeria ma” I said and she Chuckled.

” Yea” she said and rubbed my hair .

” You haven’t left yet and I’m already missing you . But Leon is a good guy and he will never hurt you ” she said and my heart squeezed in hurt ,all of this was fake and I can’t imagine how broken she will be when it comes to an end .

” Hey little sis ” Zuri said catwalking in with a shopping bag which she handed over to me .

” What’s this ? I asked trying to peep and she slapped my hand .

” I’ll be right back” ma said and excused us .

” Something lacy to spice your night gurl …” she said excitedly.

” Lacy ? Like pants and bra …? I asked.

” Lengerie and more ,I will prefer you walk around naked for your man but ..”she trailed .

” Sis I can’t walk naked …! I shrieked in horror.

” Shhhhhhhh girl do you want mama to hear you ? Which planet are you from ? She asked.

” Earth ” i said and she facepalmed herself.

” I didn’t mean for you to answer that ” she shook her head .

“This is so embarrassing” I said and she laughed.

” You will thank me later Sissy ” she said and stood up .

” Omo I’m starving ” she said and I chuckled at her use of nigerian term .

Dad and Omari joined us after sometime after which I decided to go home before his driver arrives at my door step .

‘” I’m so emotional right now ” Avy said fanning her face .

“Make sure you FaceTime us and huh ..” Tega trailed emotionally and I laughed out tears .

” You girls are silly , I’ll be coming after a month, before going back .. it’s not like I’ll stay there for six months. I’ll just work in the companies headquarters ” I Explained.

” That’s like a promotion”Tega said smiling.

” I’ll be back here after the breakup ,I think I’ll resign or something I don’t know”

Why am I suddenly feeling bad about it .

Maybe cold feet . We heard the car horn and the girls screamed.

” My baby is all grown up and going away on a romantic getaway” Tega said pulling me in a hug.

” Group huggggg!” Avy squiled as we hugged again .

” Are you going out of town dear ? Nana asked and Tega turned .

” She’s going over to her parents house ma’am Nana ” she said and pulled me with her .

” Tega “I called .

” So what you wanna tell her you’re traveling ? If this woman is from Nigeria Neighbors done call her Ekwensu {Witch }

“I mean her poke nosing is too much ,what is her business with your traveling ? Avyrll asked equally annoyed .

” She’s a good person though ” I said in defense.

“Let her limit her poke nosing because if I start my own,I will sit outside her house to be minding her business for the remaining half of this year! ” Tega said as we burst into laughter .

“Please don’t ” I said as I noticed a tall guy standing outside the flashy car .

” Goodevning miss lerato ,I’m Rex . Mr Delgado has asked me to drive you to the airport” he said and I hugged my friends one my turn before going into the car.

The text read and I blushed immediately I read it .

I leaned on the seat as I closed my eyes .

We arrived at the airport and I noticed how some guys on the same uniform came to guide me .

I blushed at the security because it felt different ,I’ve never felt so protected like this.

I mean I can go anywhere at anytime without thinking of security yet knowing Mr Delgado comes with it’s specs .

And I guess this is one of it ,which I’m not a fan of .

They saw me to the jet and as I boarded the flight the attendant smiled politely.

“Welcome miss lerato this way please ” She said leading me towards the chairs and I noticed Mr Delgado typing Away in his laptop .

The sleeves of his black dress shirt rolled up .

His Black well ironed pants gave him the formal look matched with his Italian shoes .

There’s something about him working that made him extremely sexy .

” Goodevning Leon ” I said and he smiled in my direction.

” Hey ,I hope your ride here was safe ? He asked shutting his laptop as he gestured for me to sit down.

” Yea ” I said and he gave a nod .

” The flight to San Jose in Costa Rica will take us 22hrs some minutes ” he said and my jaws literally dropped

” That’s almost a day ” I said shocked .

” I’m here to keep you company ” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

” You ? Oh please ” I said shaking my head .

” You think I’m no fun ? He asked in amusement.

” You are a workaholic sir ” I said smirking.

” Leon …” He corrected .

” Treasure ” I said and his cheeks heated in a blush .

He looked shocked and was definitely not expecting it ,I laughed as he looked away smiling.

” Are you blushing Treasure ? I asked and he chuckled.

” I’m not blushing ” he said in defence.

” Your cheeks are red ” I said and he chuckled.

” You’re crazy ” he said and I laughed.

” Get used to it , because that’s what I intend to call you throughout our time together ” I said and he blushed again .

” Treasurrrrrrre” I said playfully .

He shut his eyes as he smiled .

He’s so cute . They served us dinner and as we ate we talked about random things .

” Do you stay at your family house ? I asked and he raised his beautiful hazel eyes.

” No I have my own mansion ,but I do visit my mom , we will be spending the time with her at her estate though . That’s the reason for this ” he explained .

” This is delicious” I complimented the chefs handwork .

I caught him staring at my face and when our eyes met he faced his food .

“My mom and Dad are not together anymore” he said all of a sudden and I stared at him in shock .

” They Divorced ? I asked.

” Not exactly ,mom wouldn’t sign the divorce papers ,they are just I don’t know it’s complicated” he said and I gave a nod in understanding.

” It must have been tough for you and your sister scar ” I said and he smiled.

” Scar is a strong woman ,I think I took the hit the most expecially after how my previous relationship ended ” he said and I raised an eyebrow.

” She cheated on me ,I walked in on her on the day I was supposed to propose” he said and I froze .

My heart went out to him immediately .

” I…..I don’t know what to say ,that’s just so sad ” i said sadly .

” It’s okay ” he said and I stared at his fingers.

” I noticed you wear a lot of rings on your right fingers ” I said and he stared at me .

” This .. is a family ring ,We Delgado’s own it. .scar has one too ” he explained.

” Why ? I asked.

” That’s kind of private Mi Riena ” he said and I raised my eyebrows suspiciously.

” This is a friendship ring , it’s something my friends and I wear “.

” Oh ,you have friends ? I asked the dumbest question .

” Who doesn’t have friends Imani ,my circle is small though . Just Pierre And Adonis . Pierre can be very energetic …it’s scary sometimes . Adonis is more of the quite type and he can be hard to people he just met but deep down he is a softie ” he explained to me and I gave a nod .

We went on talking about more stuff and I yawned tiredly.

” You’re sleepy ” he said standing up .

” I’m not sleepy ,I want to keep you company” I said and he pinched the bridge of his nose .

” I don’t sleep ” he said and I laughed.

” You are joking right ? I asked in horror .

” What are you ? A vampire ! I screamed .

” No no …I mean I find it hard to just sleep ” he said and my eyes softened towards his direction.

” That’s not healthy Mr Delgado ” I said and he chuckled.

” I’ve been doing it for years ”

” Doing it for years doesn’t escuse the fast that it’s wrong ! ” I scolded him .

” Fine ” I said and he gestured me to join him .

We walked into a room and my jaws drop seeing the bed .

” This must be very expensive ”

” It is ” he muttered under his breath and I realized I said it out loud .

I sat on the bed and watched as he tried to leave the room .

” Leonn..” i trailed.

” Goodnight miss lerato ” he suddenly went all cold on me , shutting me out .

My heart stung as I stared in shock .

” Goodnight ” I muttered softly in hurt .

I’m here to work not act like his girlfriend .

I tossed and turned on the bed and eventually fell asleep .

I woke up and we were still flying ,I rubbed my head and sighed softly.

I watched my face and did my business before going back out side.

” How many hours till we land ? I asked the nice flight attendant and she smiled.

” Just an hour ma’am , it’s probably afternoon there ” she explained and.

” Oh time difference” I muttered under my breath.

” Yeah 8hours time difference from South Africa and Costa Rica ” she explained .

We talked about random stuffs before I joined Leonardo .

There he was clad in casual outfit and I noticed he worked throughout.

” How did you sleep ? He asked and I ignored him .

” Mi Riena ” he called softly.

” Imani ,you might as well call me Imani if you get to hurt me with your words last night ” I said and his jaws literally dropped.

” I didn’t mean to offend you mi Riena ..” he said and I sat down quietly.

He noticed I was not in the mood for the conversation and let it slide .

They served us breakfast after which I went back into the room and shut it .

The flight attendant woke me from my nap asking us to sit cause we will soon be landing.

I sat down and he joined me , we landed safely and as we walked out together ,he laced my hand in his large hand .

I stared at the dark shades as he led me out , someone covered us with an umbrella and I cowered at the security that rushed to protect us followed by flashes of camera from the celebrities as they fought to ask him questions.

Leon was different now ,he seemed like the man I poured hot coffee on ,not the man I have come to know.
