“Your eyes are pretty with out the gla-ss” Theo commented as they both twirled around on the dance floor.

“Flirting with me?” Joanna asked.

“If you call this flirting then am willing to go with it” Theo replied.

“You won’t succeed in flirting with me but you might with those girls” Joanna said starring at the door way where three girls whose clothes barely covered their physical attributes walk into the room.

“You mean them? Nah, those girls have been tainted already, the one at the front belongs to Francis while the other two have been fuc-k ed by me and Nicholas.

Joanna stared at the first girl who was now in Francis arms, kis-sing him widely. She remembered her as the girl who witness the kis-s she shared with Francis.

Evelyn, Francis had called her that. Joanna thought as she kept starring at the both of them.

She was muttering some thing into Francis ears and that got him smiling, Joanna didnt know why she felt a sudden rush of anger at seeing them together.

That got her pulling out of Theo arms and using the rest room as an excuse, she left him standing there.

Instead of going to the rest room like she’s meant to, she went out of the club.

There were few people outside but each were doing their thing and slowly she move towards the pond but on hearing some one voice a distance away, she find herself going there.

She hid behind a pillar when she saw Pierce being slap repeatedly on the face.

“You incompetent fool, I told you to find someone and here you are partying, do you think time is on my hands?” His father said slapping his face again.

“Am also trying my best, dad” Pierce replied only to receieve another slap.

Joanna knew that if she didn’t do some thing, Pierce will end up being injured.

“Pierce! Pierce! Where are you? The party is about to start!” She yelled thinking of some thing and his father who was about hitting him again stopped.

Pushing Pierce out of the way, he got into his car leaving Pierce there.

Joanna went to him and on seeing her, he walked away hating the fact that he had been caught by one of his peers while going throu-ghsome thing like that.

But Joanna followed him and she caught up with him just when he made it to the pond where she had been standing earlier.

“Why are you following me?” He barked at her.

“To give you this,your mouth” she said stretching her handkerchief to him.

“Get lost” he said hitting her hand which got the handkerchief falling on the floor.

Joanna went to pick it up and went back to him.

She took hold of his hand and placed the handkerchief in it.

“Stop being stubborn and wipe off the blood, you wouldn’t want to go back in there looking like that” she said and this time Pierce found himself starring at her.

“Can’t you pretend not to see me?” He asked feeling embarra-ssed.

“Am not a hypocrite and I don’t know how to pretend either, if someone else is in your shoes then I will also help” she said.

“Why? Because you feel pity?” Pierce asked.

“No, am only doing it to appease my conscience. If I had left with out doing a thing to help you then my conscience will keep bothering me” she told him while he kept starring at her.

He turn to stare up at the moon which was shinning brightly on them both.

“Don’t ever tell anyone what you saw tonight” he said after a while.

“When it comes to keeping secret, am very good in that” she said smiling which got him starring at her.

Pierce cleared his throat when his thoughts began taking another turn and absentmindly, he use the handkerchief to wipe off the blood on his li-ps.

“You’ve got a stain on your cheek” she said taking the handkerchief from him and using it to wipe the blood off his cheek.

This brou-ght her close to Pierce and he couldn’t help but to notice how beautiful her eyes is.

“You aren’t wearing your gla-sses today?” He said when she finished wiping it off.

“Do you recognize me?” Joanna asked and he nodded.

“You were the one who kis-sed Francis and…..”

“It’s a mistake, if you hadn’t push the door that day, I wouldn’t have kis-s him and you would have…..” She stopped when she realized that she was going to spill the whole thing.

“Well it’s all in the past and I think we better return to the party” she added as she turn to leave while Pierce followed a grin on his face.

Francis let his gaze drift throu-ghthe club and there was still no sign of Joanna.

Where could she be? He thought as he caught hold of Evelyn hand which was moving towards his manhood.

“What’s wrong love?” She asked starring at him in a cute way.

“This isn’t the place for this” Francis said and before she could speak, he stood up going out in search of Joanna.

He didn’t know why he’s even bothering to look for her but he felt uneasy doing with her out of his sight.

As soon as he stepped outside, he saw her walking side by side with Pierce and she was smiling at some thing he was saying to her.

She stepped on a stone which got her tripping and Pierce caught her in his arms before she could fall.

Francis stood by the door watching them both and seeing her enclosed in his arms got him feeling angry.

Unknowingly he tightened his fist and went to them.
